Speech prevention in kindergarten

The theoretical part of this thesis deals with issues of speech disorder prevention, speech development in children, the most common articulation disorder - dyslalia and possible ways of its prevention. Further on, I focus on various factors contributing to speech development, on the framework educational programme for pre-school education in relation to language and speech and on the actual speech disorder prevention in the nursery school programme. The practical part discusses ways the primary prevention in nursery schools actually works, if the teachers are given sufficient support in this area and whether common practice corresponds with their vision of an ideal prevention delivery. Results will be collected through a questionnaire, additional interviews and literature analysis. The goal of this work is to map teachers' interest and knowledge in the area of primary speech disorder prevention and its relation to postponement of compulsory school attendance. Lucie Durdilová ANNOTATION: The aim of the theoretical part of this bachelor's thesis is to describe basic concepts related to the prevention of speech impediments, by using current literature, existing knowledge and research, characterize the most common forms of comminication disorder that usually occur in preschool children and inform about ways of how to prevent speech disorders, mainly primary ones (How can parents prevent the occurrence of speech defects among their children from an earliest possible age). Awareness of parents of the possibilities to prevent speech defects, of child's speech development and of thequality of related literature, will be determinated by a questionnare, this means a quantitative research method. Questionnare will be focused on parents with children between 3-4 years old.
Musical activities supporting speech therapy prevention of preschool children

This bachelor thesis deals with logopaedic prevention and the development of communication skills of preschool children. My choice of the topic "Musical activities supporting logopaedic prevention in preschool children" was motivated not only by my fondness for music and singing, but also by noticeable increase in incidence of speech impediments. In today's hectic world, music and singing lost its importance that it used to have in our lives. Singing at home has become an exception despite the fact that it is crucial for the healthy development of communication skills of a child. The Theoretical part of the thesis analyses the characteristics of the speech of preschool children, it also describes the most frequent speech impediments and their prevention including musical activities. The Practical part of this bachelor thesis consists of a methodical collection called "With a song from autumn to summer" that is focused on musical activities and logopaedic prevention, which I compiled and applied in practice and in reflection.
Primary logopedical prevention in nursery school from the perspective of parents

The aim of bachelor thesis is to find out the parent awareness about primary prevention in kindergarten in an area of speech therapy. Theoretical part introduces the concept of speech therapy, speech therapy and speech therapy prevention. It also explains a method of obtaining professional qualifications for logopedical assistant in education and discusses the primary constituents of speech therapy prevention. Practical part introduces results of questionnaire survey and assesses parents awareness and opinions in an area of the speech preventive activities in kindergarten. Then activities for family speech therapy prevention are suggested.
Prevention of speech and langugage disorders in Horácko region Kindergartens

The bachelorś thesis focuses on method and range of speech disorders prevention in kindergartens of the Horácko region. Theoretical part contains characteristics of the Horácko region, definition of the language disorders prevention and the primary language disorders prevention in a kindergarten. It brings factors supporting the development of childrenś language abilities, education and screening. It defines conditions of language disorders prevention in a kindergarten and describes the tasks of the prophylactic language therapist. Research described in the practical part is based on an inquiry of two groups of professionals, teachers and teachers-language disorders therapist. The obtained data was compared in relation to different types of kindergartens.
Parents Awareness and Cooperation in Preventing Speech Problems

The Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of parents awareness and their cooperation with nursery school in the process of preventing speech disorders. It identifies parents evaluation of the nursery school, their interest in obtaining information and their willingness to cooperate in speech care. It also covers the process of speech development and speech and communication disorder prevention. The thesis also suggests solutions of these issues based on a conducted questionnaire survey.
