The Development of the Czech Republic Pension System and Its Application in the Legal Form
Konárová, Radka ; Zemanová, Jana (advisor) ; Koldinská, Kristina (referee)
Resumé - Cizí jazyk The Development of the Czech Republic Pension System and Its Application in the Legal Form The In this thesis I presented a comprehensive overview of the current pension system in the Czech Republic and introduced some changes to the pension system of the Czech Republic that has been already clarified or will be very probably clarified by the modifications in the legal regulations. The content of my thesis is directly related to the pension reform in the Czech Republic and I also described some impacts of the modifications in the legal tax regulations system.Czech Republic is another country that will have to deal with unfavorable demographic progress of its population such as increasing number of seniors and decreasing amount of subjects that contribute to the pension system. That might result in the financial instability and that is also a reason for preparation and implementation of the Czech pension system reform. I'm convinced that pension system as a part of the country's social system is one of the crucial economics cornerstones of every country. Laws that support the pension system are subjects of significant modifications in the recent years. Such modifications are content related, it means that new laws are created or current laws are modified. The execution of the laws changes...

History and future of population census

Main contribution those work rests in of several months' duration really intimate cross - country inquiry elect cadastral territory. Crucial was possibility investigation one's troop in terms of wider region and creation so relatively detailed picture primeval settlement given to cell regarding surrounding. This routing and processing results can be applicable on research by other, similar periods in this region. All surveyed locations find in above sea level altitude above 400 metres. To the late time was settlement in conditions similar this secreted, or regarded behind randomly. This work proved, that in one's only thing small cell, may be over most 10 different localities.

Pathogenesis of eczema vaccinatum
Elsterová, Jana ; Mělková, Zora (advisor) ; Forstová, Jitka (referee)
Vaccinia virus (VACV) is primarily known as a vaccine against its relative variola virus, the causative agent of smallpox. In the seventies of the 20th century, the vaccination campaign with VACV led to eradication of smallpox. Consequently, vaccination of the general population was stopped. Currently, the vaccination was reintroduced, namely among army and healthcare professionals. However, vaccination with VACV is accompanied with a high incidence of vaccination-related complications, namely among immunocompromised individuals. One of the complications is eczema vaccinatum, occuring in patients with atopic dermatitis. The laboratory of Dr. Melkova has focused on development of a model of eczema vaccinatum in mice Nc/Nga and on studies of pathogenesis of this complication. The goal of my diploma thesis is to contribute to characterization of imunopathogenesis of eczema vaccinatum in mice Nc/Nga infected either with VACV strain Western Reserve (WR) or with a recombinant VACV with the integrated cDNA for IRF-3 (Interferon Regulatory Factor 3; WR-IRF3). IRF-3 regulates the expression of interferon type I in response to viral infection. This recombinant virus has been constructed in the laboratory of Dr. Melková. The objective of my work was to verify the expression of the integrated cDNA for IRF-3 and to...

Shape dynamics of silicate structures in experimental populations of chrysophytes (Synurophyceae)
Pichrtová, Martina ; Němcová, Yvonne (advisor) ; Elster, Josef (referee)
The aim of the proposed diploma thesis was to analyze temperature and pH related shape variation in synurophyte silica scales. Four species were investigated - Synura petersenii, S. echinulata, S. sphagnicola and Mallomonas tonsurata. The strains were cultivated in 5 different temperature levels. Moreover, S. petersenii and M. tonsurata were grown in 4 (resp. 5) different pH levels, too. The shape dynamics of the scales was investigated with application of landmark based geometric morphometric methods. The relative warps analysis described the overall shape and the main trends in morphological variation were depicted as deformation grids. The effects of both cultivation temperature and pH on the scale shape were significant, although only a small proportion of the overall variation was explained by the particular regression models. Moreover, the scale size of the investigated species decreased with increasing temperature (with the exception of Synura echinulata). These results are in agreement with the Atkinson's temperature rule which was formulated for the body size of ectotherms. The relationship between the size and pH was not explicit - the size of the scales decreased with increasing pH in S. petersenii, but increased in M. tonsurata. Furthermore, the scale shape was also found to be related to the...

The Netherlands: migration trends and policy
Rynešová, Lenka ; Steinmetzová, Dana (advisor) ; Popovová, Marie (referee)
Dutch society have gone through many changes over 400 years, the biggest one came during the 20th century, when the Netherlands became a multicultural country. The Netherlands is well-known for its extreme tolerance for minorities and the government tends to integrate these people into Dutch society through immigration and integration policy. Country does not struggle only with the influx of immigrants, the renewed problem is the leaving their own people. Initially, in a relatively peaceful coexistence of immigrants with residents over time, there have been first manifestations of racial hate, religious wars and conflicts due to cultural differences. As a respond to this situation is emigration of the local population. The government still has to adapt its policy because of the changes in structure of migration to suit both parties.

Eritrea and Somaliland - comparison of independence struggle
Lojková, Tereza ; Kváča, Vladimír (advisor) ; Kochan, Jan (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to compare efforts of Eritrea and Somaliland to obtain independence and to find out why Eritrea was in independence obtaining succesful and Somaliland not. Chapter 1 offers a basic theoretical background concerning a question of international law and formation of a state. Based on basic international law documents regarding this topic it describes crucial terms and principles. Further it discusses a question of secession justifiability and it concerns also application of theoretical principles in reality. Chapter 2 includes basic geographical information and ethnical characteristics of population of both regions. Chapter 3 briefly describes history of both states from their emergence up to the beginning of fifties of the last century. The aim of this chapter is to describe international and internal influences which formed uniqueness of both regions within parent states which later supported the efforts to obtain independence. Chapter 4 is devoted to a concrete description of both areas' efforts to obtain independence in the second half of 20th century. It focuses mainly on international negotiations regarding future of both countries, formation and development of independence movements and the concrete course of independence declaration. Chapter 5 evaluates the course and results of independence struggle in both countries.

Biodiversity of small terrestrial mammals on meadows with different management and water regime in Třeboňsko area
KOMENDOVÁ, Barbora
The thesis builds on previous work comparing biodiversity of small terrestrial mammals at four localities with different management. The thesis significantly extends the previous work. The theoretical part consists of a literature search on the issue of the occurrence of small mammals in an area around the town Třeboň, their microhabitat preferences and the impact of farming on biodiversity of their communities. The practical part describes the species composition of small terrestrial mammals? communities and changes of their abundance and biomass during the three growing seasons, depending on the climatic characteristics of the locality. It includes evaluation of the results of the regular catches in traps (CMR method), which were realized from June to September between 2009 and 2011 (three catches once a year) at four sites with different management: Mokré louky - non mowed, Mokré louky - mowed, Cirkvičný meadow and a pasture (meadow) Jeţek. A total there were 553 individuals of small terrestrial mammals caught and we noted nine species: Microtus arvalis, Microtus. agrestis, Micromys minutus, Apodemus sylvaticus, Sorex araneus, Sorex minutus, Neomys anomalus, Neomys fodiens, Crocidura suaveolens and Apodemus sylvaticus. Various characters of biotopes provide differently suitable conditions for the establishment of populations according to their habitat requirements. The predominant species in Mokré louky mowed and non-mowed was Microtus agrestis and in the Cirkvičný meadow and Jeţek it was Microtus arvalis. The highest abundance and diversity were recorded in Mokré louky mowed and non-mowed. The highest biomass was recorded in 2009 and 2010 in summer, when temperatures were highest. In 2011, there was the highest biomass in the spring, probably because the previous winter was very warm. The highest Simpson's index of species diversity was in Mokré louky mowed in 2010. The relative abundance was highest of Microtus agrestis, Apodemus sylvaticus and Sorex araneus, alternately in Mokré louky mowed and non-mowed. Microtus arvalis had the highest abundance for all three years in the Cirkvičný meadow. The probability of capture during capture was always increasing, reaching 100%, as in the Microtus arvalis, Microtus agrestis, as well Apodemus sylvaticus. The highest probability of re-capture was at Apodemus sylvaticus, where 33% of the second day and 43% of the third day. The results presented in the thesis contributed to the project NPV 2B06023 MŠMT.

IMF Quota Formula
Habalová, Veronika ; Parízek, Michal (advisor) ; Kučerová, Irah (referee)
The IMF has been facing criticism in recent years. Its legitimacy has been undermined as some members, despite their economic performance, are still underrepresented in IMF's decision making and its activities leave mixed evidence about their success. Being a crucial condition for institution's existence, legitimacy of the Fund's governance needs to be restored. This thesis tries to find such specification of formula, which would make allocation of votes more credible and fair. Based on the assumption that perception of the Fund's legitimacy would improve if developing countries were better represented and allocation of votes could not be subject to manipulation, a new procedure of vote allocation is designed. New formulas include population as one of the variables as a solution of the emerging powers' insufficient involvement. Using principal components analysis allows automatic assignment of weights, which results in more objective mechanism of votes allocation. As there is a significant discrepancy between voting weights and actual voting power measured by Banzhaf index, also formulas incorporating power indices are investigated. Based on quantitative and qualitative criteria, these four different mechanisms are assessed. Thesis concludes that any of these formulas would be an improvement in comparison...

Problem of the undernourishment and the food water resources
Polzová, Tereza ; Kuna, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Petr, Petr (referee)
The main focus of the final thesis are the problems related to the problem of undernourishment in affected regions of the world, sea fishing and aquaculture. In the beginning, the definition of the food problem in the world is introduced. The potential contribution of proteins from the sea production to human dietary is emphasized. Further, the exponential population growth is mentioned, influencing the future development and the food problem itself. The second part of thesis is dedicated to fisheries and aquaculture. The importance and benefits of sea water resources as well as aquaculture is mentioned from the nutritional and livelihood point of view. Sea management and international regulations are playing crucial role in the sustainability of the fisheries stocks. These are needed to eliminate the problems of fisheries and aquaculture and the degradation of sea ecosystems due to unsuitable fishing techniques. At the end of the thesis a summary of all important information is listed. Followed by possible solutions of these global problems.
