Fiscal Policy and Debt Crises
Pikhart, Zdeněk ; Ševčík, Miroslav (advisor) ; Zamrazilová, Eva (referee) ; Pastoráková, Erika (referee)
Thesis deals with a fiscal policy issue with emphasis on the debt crisis. First specifics of the data capture of the government sector for the purpose of evaluating the fiscal position are analyzed. It includes assessment of the fiscal sustainability indicators and the historical reaction function of fiscal policy in the EU. The analysis of cyclical adjustment of the government balance, definition of fiscal impulse and the estimation of fiscal multipliers in the Czech Republic precedes the contribution to the debate regarding the optimal fiscal policy setup with respect to debt sustainability in the long run and sufficient degree of flexibility in the short run. The thesis concludes with the identification of the causes of the fiscal debt crises with the subsequent analysis of possible ways to resolve the already existing fiscal imbalances and assessing the appropriateness of the Czech government's consolidation.

The diploma thesis focuses on implementation of a software solution for customer relationship management with respect to a telecommunications service provider. The whole analysis of a project implementation describes introduction of a segment called Sales Force Automation (SFA). The objective of the work is to describe all important steps during the execution of the SFA project implementation, to compare the steps to theoretical recommendations, to assess applicability of procedures with regard to users' experience and reactions during the execution and after the completion of the project and to subsequently determine recommendations for similar projects. The work is structured into a theoretical and practical part. The objective of the theoretical part is to explain the concept of CRM -- Customer Relationship Management, to introduce the recommended project plan of the CRM implementation and to present a selected product, which is Siebel CRM from Oracle. The practical part describes an already finished project implemented by a telecommunications service provider, compares the appropriate procedure to a theoretical recommendation and registers differences. Based on implications and user's reactions there were suitable and unsuitable steps determined and also procedures recommended for an easier transition to a new CRM system with regard to similar projects.

Using social networks to support business
Zahradník, Jan ; Chudán, David (advisor) ; Machek, Ondřej (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze and decide whether the social webs are an appropriate place for company and their products presentation. On the basis of criteria chosen to decide which networks are in the Czech environment the most suitable and what promotion tools they offer. The thesis is divided into the theoretical part, in which I consider technical terminology and describe the development of means for gathering people on the Internet till the today's look. A chapter follows that considers the most widespread websites in the Czech Republic, stressing especially Facebook, on which I illustrate the platform for application development. In the practical part I illustrate the promotion options of a company on Facebook through an actual marketing, I consider the aim differences, costs connected with the campaign running, and then I evaluate whether the campaign is successful, and I add proposals for improvement. Another theme is the possibility of using Facebook API and the FBML language by creating an application of the Facebook platform and its use by marketing. The work also consists of a public survey, which shows which social networks people leave and which they go to, reactions of the users for advertisements on social networks and their relationship to the applications running on social networks. The contribution of this work is to show opportunities that using social networks in company presentation offers.

The dissertation identifies and analyzes metamorphosis of the US foreign security policy in the 21st century. The main aim is also to identify whether the United States entered a new era with the attacks of 9/11 and whether so called the Bush doctrine was an appropriate reaction to the global terrorism. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter describes the US security strategies since WWII. In the second chapter, foreign security policy of George W. Bush and its metamorphosis is analyzed. The last chapter is devoted to the security strategies of Barack Obama.

Influence of understory light on diversity and composition of forest vegetation in the České Středohoří Mts.
Macek, Martin ; Kopecký, Martin (advisor) ; Černý, Tomáš (referee)
Light is essential component of forest ecosystem, as limited light availability in forest-floor restricts herb and tree seedlings growth. Importance of light availability for maintaining plant species diversity and community structure wasn't sufficiently evaluated in the Czech Republic. This study focus on the ecological relevance of light availability on both landscape and local scale. Relationship of light to cover, diversity and species composition was quantified in the thesis. Dominant tree species affected light availability and its spatial variability. Light availability was along the soil reaction and slope most influential factor for large-scale species diversity. Within-site light variability affected plant diversity more than soil reaction variability. Measuring light by means of hemispherical photography seems to be an appropriate for studies like this. Light availability influnence on community compostition is weak in comparison with other environmental gradients.

Immunomodulators
Horká, Zuzana ; Štaud, František (advisor) ; Nachtigal, Petr (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology and Toxikology Candidate: Zuzana Horká Supervisor: Doc. PharmDr. František Štaud, Ph.D. Title of master thesis: Immunomodulators The master thesis focuses on modern approaches in the immunomodulatory therapy. The immune system is together with the nervous and endocrine system one of the basic regulating mechanisms of the human body. The main function of the immune system is to maintain its integrity. The disturbances of the immune reactions can lead to the development of various pathologies or diseases. In these cases a therapeutic effect on the immune system with appropriate drugs - immunomodulators is appropriate. These medicaments are capable of inhibiting or stimulating the immune reaction. Immunosuppressive pharmacotherapy is used to treat allergic and autoimmune diseases and in transplantation medicine. Immunosuppressants are a very large group of substances. They differ from each other by their chemical structure and mechanism of its action. Within the frame of immunosuppressives this work elaborates in detail the calcineurin inhibitors, mTOR inhibitors, fingolimod and the theme of monoclonal antibodies. The stimulation of the immune system through appropriate immunomodulator finds its application...

Systemic mastocytosis
Košnerová, Jitka ; Cvačková, Milada (advisor)
The aim of my thesis is the introduction of the systemic mastocytosis and discussion about results of allergen immunotherapy in patients with systemic mastocytosis and its preventive effects against recurrent anaphylactic reactions. Patients with systemic mastocytosis are more prone to severe systemic anaphylactic reactions after Hymenoptera stings than in the general insect venom allergic population patients without elevated basal tryptase. This severe reaction can result in the death of the patient, it is important to prevent it prophylactically. The medication of choice in insect venom allergic patients is hyposensibilization therapy - allergen immunotherapy, which uses venom allergens of causal Hymenoptera (honey bee, yellow jacket). The thesis aims to summarize the results obtained so far about the appropriateness of this treatment in patients with systemic mastocytosis, side-effects during VIT, optimal dosing schedule and duration of treatment in these patients.

Viral hepatitides and their pharmacotherapy
Klímková, Martina ; Vokřál, Ivan (referee) ; Mladěnka, Přemysl (advisor)
15. Abstract Viral hepatitis belongs to the most common infectious diseases in the world by this time. Typical areas of their appearance are countries of South America, South Asia and Africa. They are transmitted parenterally (hepatitis B, C, D) or via the faecal-oral route (hepatitis A, E). Infection starts the immune reaction with production of antibodies that often serve in confirmation of the definitive diagnose. The clinical manifestation of viral hepatitis involves gastrointestinal discomfort, jaundice and actually liver failure and death if the hepatitis is complicated or untreated. Hepatitis A and hepatitis E don not become chronic and patients do not have any health consequences after recovery. Chronic forms of hepatitis B, C, and D cause long-lasting complications. There is no need to use antiviral drugs in the therapy of hepatitis A and E, the symptomatological therapy is sufficient. The other types of hepatitis demand an antiviral therapy. The basic of this therapy are interferon and synthetic nucleoside analogues. Interferons start an appropriate immune reaction and destroy infected hepatocytes and synthetic antivirotics inhibit synthesis of viral nucleic acid. In the treatment of hepatitis B is used pegylated interferon α, ordinarily in combination with nucleoside analogues (lamivudin,...

Reactions of Alkenes Iniciated by Transition Metals Alkyls and Hydrides
Nečas, David ; Kotora, Martin (advisor) ; Jindřich, Jindřich (referee) ; Starý, Ivo (referee) ; Mazal, Ctibor (referee)
l0 5. Conclusion 1) The first and practical catalýic method for smooth deallylation of 2-substituted-2-allylmalonates to 2-substituted malonates via selective cleavage of the C-C bond under mild reaction conditions has been developed' The reaction seems to be general with respect to the transition-metal complexes; however, the comparison of Ru and Ni catalysts indicates considerable differences in their specific activity and selectiviý. Last but not least, the smooth deallylation offers an opportuniý to use the allyl group as an effective protective group for acidic hydrogen of malonic esters. 2) It has been shown that it is possible to re-route the course of the reaction from c{ bond cleavage (deallylation) to c{ bond formation (cyclization) in Ni hydride cataryzed, reactions by a change in the amount of organoaluminium. It proceeded in high yields even in cases where deallylation could compete with cyclization (e.g. diallylmalonate, etc.) in high selectiviý. In addition, generation of Ni hydride species in sinr provides an effective means for fast and selective cyclization of variously substituted 1,6- heptadienes to cyclopentanes. Moreover, it is possible exert certain level of control for the preferential formation of methylidene(methyl)cyclopentanes or cyclopentenes by the appropriate choice of thb...
