Current Fluctuations of Reverse-Biased Solar
Škvarenina, Ľ.
This paper presents mainly noise diagnostics of pn junctions local defects in a singlecrystalline silicon solar cells structure. Research consists of a non-destructive measurement methodology of reverse-biased junction in solar cells. Diagnostics of defect areas in this documents are based especially on measurement of noise power spectral density, measurement of the radiation emitted from defects in visible range and I-V characteristic measurement.

Study of gene expression profile of ellipticine - resistant neuroblastoma cell line UKF-NB-4
Pinkas, Michael ; Poljaková, Jitka (advisor) ; Hinďoš Hřebačková, Jana (referee)
Neuroblastoma (NB) is a malignant embryonal tumor of the peripheral sympathetic nervous system derived from neural crest and is the most common tumor in infants. If the protooncogen MYCN is amplified in the case of high risk neuroblastoma, the current therapy fails. The biggest issue is the development of resistance. Ellipticine (ELLI) is a potential antineoplastic drug, whose cytotoxic effect is mainly based on the inhibition of topoisomerase II, its intercalation into the double helix structure of DNA and formation of adducts with DNA after enzymatic activation by cytochromes P450, peroxidases, sulfotransferases and N,O-acetyltransferases. Long-term cultivation of NB cell line UKF-NB-4 with ELLI leads to resistance, which is multifactorial. (i) It appears that ELLI is not effluxed from cells of the line UKF-NB-4ELLI as in the case of doxorubicin resistance in UKF-NB-4, but is transported from the nucleus and sequestrated in intracellular compartments. Cytotoxicity of ELLI is reduced also by (ii) low intracellular pH and (iii) decreased expression of topoisomerase II. (iv) Expression of enzymes activating ELLI is unchanged on the mRNA level detected by DNA microarray. However, enhanced expression of enzymes activating ELLI (cytochrome P450 3A4 and cyclooxygenase-1) is detected by qRT-PCR. Moreover...

In the laser cooled trapped ions field current research is oriented to yield isolated ions in their basic state of the motion. The detection of the Doppler cooled iont excitation to its quadrupole transition of the electronic structure gives the opportuniny to stabilize highly coherent lasers of the optical frequency of the hundreds of THz. This way a new standart of the time or optical frequencies called „Optical atomic clock“ can be defined. Institute of the Scientific Instruments in Brno in the cooperation with the Department of the Optics of the Palacky University in Olomouc implemented a unique research infrastructure for laser cooling of 40Ca+ ions and subsequent experiments of the quantum mechanics and spectroscopy in a joint laboratory in Brno. Currently 40Ca+ ions are routinely generated and captured. The Doppler cooling of those ions is performed using dipole transition at a wavelength of the 397 nm. Also detection and spectroscopy of the electronic structure of the ion and the presence of his dark resonances is implemented.\n

Utilization of CDTA and CFTA elements in electrical circuits and frequency filters
Kotlán, Petr ; Herencsár, Norbert (referee) ; Kubánek, David (advisor)
Thesis deals about active component in current mode, CDTA (current differencing transconductance amplifier) and CFTA (current follower transconductance amplifier). CDTA compares two input currents. Outcome current comes trough added terminal Z to load. Caused voltage is transfered to output current by transconductance g. Output surrents shall be possitive (terminal X+) or negative (terminal X-). In contrast to CDTA, CFTA has one current input. Components were used in filters and oscillators. Some filters of second order realized simultaneously low, hight and nad pass were designed. Then, the transfer of filters with diverse topology with opperational amplifier to filter with CDTA and CFTA was shown. Some oscillators were designed. Designed circuits were simulated. Transistor models of CDTA and CFTA were created to purpose of simulation. This components can be realized by AD844 and MAX435. There are shown the conclusions of AC analysis of filters and transission analysis of oscillators. The thesis contains practical realization of second order frequency filter also. Device was made like a PCB by smd. CFTA was realized by components AD844 and MAX435.

Forms of Regional Co-operation in the Light of the Promotion of Production
BLÁHOVÁ, Jana
At the beginning of the year 2008 I chose the topic for my bachelor diploma paper {\clq}"Forms of Regional Co-operation in the Light of the Promotion of Production". I have chosen the group called LAG Strakonicko which is a Local Action Group located in my home town Strakonice. I have found out that activity of this group is based on the cooperation on the tripartite basis (public administration, non-profit making organizations and businessmen). To gain money from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development for projects mentioned in LEADER strategy plan a group should prove its existing activity in accordance with LEADER rules and it should have a carefully prepared LEADER strategy plan. The common vision of all members of LAG Strakonicko including a four village association (the Region of Middle Otava, the Region of Lower Otava, Strakonice Region and Šumava Podlesí) is the vital countryside which will be inspired by its history and tradition of the given regions and which will continue in its development and which will use its current potential at the same time. From my point of view the manager LAG Strakonicko Bc. Jiřina Karasová and her assistant Ing. Věra Dědíková are right people at the right place because they know everything about the region they are working in, they know all legal rules and mainly they work with enthusiasm on promotion and regional development. One part on my research was a questionnaire among businessmen who are not members of MAS. Local farmers were the most informed among the interviewees, other businessmen mostly did not know anything about the activities or they did not know anything about the existence they of this group at all. The interviewees see the biggest negatives in demanding administrative work on application forms, bureaucracy, problems with project application forms and financing in advance. The last part of my research was a questionnaire among businessmen who are members of MAS. I have found out that approximately 33,3% of the members were founders. For 83,3% of interviewees the membership in MAS met their expectations. The results of the survey show that the membership in MAS is advantageous for businessmen at least concerning the LAG Strakonicko. The proves of this fact are successfully approved and financially encouraged projects ``Country market-hall{\crq}q and ``Strategic plan LEADER 2007 {--} 2013{\crq}q. A great variety of prepared projects will be carried out thanks to gained financial support. The above mentioned projects include for example, renovation of a hand carved bee house and its functional regeneration, mile restoration and many other interesting projects influencing a successful regional development.

Monitoring the effects of new exposure parameters after transition to CR digital image processing in the Radiodiagnostic Department at Sušice Hospital, o.p.s.
KLIMENT, Karel
At the current time, doses of radiation caused by medical exposure make up the largest part of peoples' exposure to artificial sources of ionising radiation (SIR). Every medical exposure must be justified as of benefit to the individual subject to it. Radiation protection at the workplace is subject to the principle of optimisation. One of the paths leading to optimisation of radiation protection is the specification of the Local Diagnostic Reference Level (LDRL). The objective of this thesis was to test and evaluate whether and how transition to indirect digitisation affects image quality. According to model examinations on a water phantom, the lowest possible dose for which image quality would be preserved was to be determined. If the dose could be reduced, it would be possible to specify a new LDRL. The dose can be reduced, amongst other things, by making appropriate adjustment to exposure parameters on the control unit. I tested how changes in the exposure parameters set affected the quality of the resulting image. I used the water phantom for each examination which corresponded to the thickness of the area to be examined for a standard patient. For constant default voltage, first of all changes to the settings were made to reduced blackening and increase electrical charge. Subsequently, voltage was increased and reduced with a constant blackening level. Image quality was evaluated according to the measured values for noise, and high and low contrast resolution. I used the results to determine recommendations for specific examinations in terms of exposure parameters to be set. I worked out the LDRL for the new exposure parameter settings and compared it to the current LDRL values at the workplace and with the NDRL (National Diagnostic Reference Level).

Noise, Transport and Structural Properties of High Energy Radiation Detectors Based on CdTe
Byly použity velmi kvalitní spektroskopické detektory, materiál s nižší rezistivitou a výraznou polarizací, detektory s asymetrií elektrických parametrů kontaktů a teplotně degenerované vzorky.

Interpreting models in PRC
Aguas Maisels, Sebastian ; Čeňková, Ivana (advisor) ; Rejšková, Jana (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to outline the development and current situation of the interpreting profession in China. It places particular emphasis on interpreter training at chinese universities, interpreters accreditations, professional organizations and the formation of interpreting theory and training as an autonomous discipline. The beginnings of the conference interpreting profession in China date back to 1979, when the UN Training Programme for Interpreters and Translators was launched. In 1994 this programme was transformed into the Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation at the Beijing Foreign Studies University, which became the first interpreter training institution in China. In 2006 the first three universities launched a BA in Translation and Interpreting (BTI). In 2007 fifteen universities started offering anew Master's programme in Translation and Interpreting (MTI). Currently, the number of universities offering BTI has more than doubled and the number of universities offering MTI has reached 150. Several universities offer also PhD programmes in interpreting studies. Interpreting studies are gradually developing into an autonomous discipline in China and monographs of representative Chinese researchers, e.g. Liu Heping, Bao Gang or Wang Binhua, attest to it. Most of Chinese...
