English learning web application based on principle of gamification
Říha, Šimon ; Procházka, Josef (advisor) ; Vaňková, Petra (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with principles of gamification, its application in education and its implementation in learning web applications. The aim of the theoretical part is to define the employment of this principle in education, analyze gamification elements and mechanisms, and their use in existing learning web applications available on the market. On the grounds of findings from the theoretical part of this thesis, I will attempt to design and implement a prototype of a learning web application incorporating gamification features, which will be focused on English learning.
Rezervační systém pro ubytování
Slunský, Stanislav
This bachelor thesis is focused on the design of an online reservation system for accommodation. The aim of the thesis is to support tourism in a particular area by creating a reservation system that would unite accommodation in the area and provide the user interface to instantly display free rooms within all available accommodation. This would prevent the user from contacting the individual accommodation in advance with a reservation request for a free term. To create a reservation system proposal, an anal-ysis of existing reservation systems, analysis of customers and community environment had to be carried out. Based on these analyses, site functionality, data distribution in the database and technology for the system development were subsequently proposed. The system was exposed to the Laravel PHP framework, allowing for faster application development and providing basic security measures. The initial appearance of the site was implemented through the CSS framework Bootstrap, so it is easy to edit for potential site users. Finally, the site has been tested by potential users and modifications were made based on their feedback.
Modelica in physiological modelling. Models with spatially distributed parameters, Authorin educational simulators.
Šilar, Jan ; Kofránek, Jiří (advisor) ; Maršálek, Petr (referee) ; Roubík, Karel (referee)
Mathematical models in physiology are useful to formulate and verify hypotheses, to make predictions, to estimate hidden parameters and in education. This thesis deals with modelling in physiology using the Modelica language. New methods for model implementation and simulator production were developed. Modelica is an open standard equation-based object-oriented language for modelling complex systems. It is highly convenient in physiology modelling due to its ability to describe extensive models in a lucid hierarchical way. The models are described by algebraic, ordinary differential and discrete equations. Partial differential equations are not supported by the Modelica standard yet. The thesis focuses on two main topics: 1) modelling of systems described by partial differential equations in Modelica 2) production of web-based e-learning simulators driven by models implemented in Modelica. A Modelica language extension called PDEModelica1 for 1-dimensional partial differential equations was designed (based on a previous extension). The OpenModelica modelling tool was extended to support PDEModelica1 using the method of lines. A model of countercurrent heat exchange between the artery and vein in a leg of a bird standing in water was implemented using PDEModelica1 to prove its usability. The...
Web Browser Extension for Page Analysis
Navrátil, Rostislav ; Křivka, Zbyněk (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is to create a WebExtensions oriented module for a web browser. An extension module allows the user to submit details about the currently displayed web page and text content to a server application for thorough analysis and displaying the result. It is built on ExtensionAPIs, but is also supported in WebExtensions based web browsers. The communication between the extension module and the server is realized by XMLHttpRequest and the server application itself is implemented in PHP.
Web Portal for Cooperation of BUT Students
Svetlík, Tomáš ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deal with the process of creating modern web applications with using UX methods. The aim is to design a web portal to support students cooperation and  verify the design using a test version. Collaborative support focuses on the process of looking for project collaborators. The system allows users to create their own project or to be interested in an existing positions. The web portal was created with modern web technologies such as Laravel or React library.  The output of the thesis is the design, prototype and evaluation of the application, based on user testing.
Skill Matrix Plugin for Kanboard.org
Válka, Jan ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Ščuglík, František (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create a plugin for monitoring knowledge of existing Kanboard users. The main goal of this plugin is to evaluate employees' abilities and assign them labels. Based on these attributes, it's possible to filter individual users. In this thesis I have created a tool that will facilitate the process of deciding which employee to assign to either new or current project.
Planning System for Healthcare Services
Schauer, Marek ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Kolář, Martin (advisor)
The information system presented in this work allows planning of nursing care and simplifies its implementation and reporting of care givers. The development of the information system was consulted with a real nursing service located in Bratislava - Karlova Ves. The system offers client records, care giver records, planning of caretaking with the possibility of exceptions and a unique reporting mechanism using geolocation and time stamps. The caretaking system was implemented using web technologies and it is possible to use the system independently of platforms or places. Introduced information system is possible to expand by creating plug-in modules. The goal was to create an application, which is easy to use and has user-friendly experience with the possibility of using in terrain.
Electron Technology for Desktop Applications Development
Ščensná, Júlia ; Maruniak, Lukáš (referee) ; Orság, Filip (advisor)
The thesis is focused on development of desktop applications based on web technologies. These applications are determined to run on major operation systems on the market, namely Windows, Linux and MacOS. The aim of this thesis is to examine technologies that offer this development and to select some of the technologies for future work that includes implementation of applications into selected technologies. At the end, the thesis describes comparison of applications and their testing. The results of this work are implemented applications and their comparison on basis of possibilities they provide.
Analysis and Presentation of Price Data of Vehicles Sold over Internet
Kantor, Nikolas ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the process of analyzing requirements, design and implementation of web application, which is primarily intended to provide the user with the possibility to search for offers of cars across multiple advertising websites with cars. It is also intended to provide the user with additional services such as vehicle value estimation and vehicle value development. This work deals in detail with each step of the development of this application, from the definition of requirements to the final implementation. For the client part of the application, technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript and JSP have been used. The server part of the application is then written in Java in combination with the Spring framework.
Cloud Applications with a JavaScript Client
