Cybercrime: Concept, Detection and Prevention
Tureček, David ; Froehling, Kenneth (referee) ; Ellederová, Eva (advisor)
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá koncepcí kybernetické kriminality. Začíná popisem historického vývoje kybernetické kriminality a s ní související počítačové technologie. Práce dále uvádí důvody, proč ke kybernetické kriminalitě dochází, a popisuje kybernetickou kriminalitu z praktičtějšího hlediska, přičemž analyzuje různé typy útoků a útočníků včetně názorných příkladů. Teoretická část práce je zakončena kapitolou věnující se prevenci a detekci kybernetických hrozeb. Účelem praktické části je ukázka jednoduchého Denial of Service útoku.
Antivirotické účinky vybraných přírodních látek proti klíšťaty přenášeným patogenům u dendritických buněk.
VEJVODOVÁ, Kateřina
In this study the potential antiviral effect of several natural compounds was characterized. These plant-derived substances were tested on PMJ2R cells (cell line derived from murine macrophages) for the antiviral effect using three infection/treatment schemes: (1) treatment 24 hours before the infection, (2) treatment 24 hours post infection, and (3) immediate treatment after the infection.
Efekt ozdravovacího procesu IBR ve vybraném stádě českého strakatého skotu
POKORNÁ, Lucie
The bachelor thesis on topic "Effect of eradication process (IBR) in selected herd of redspotted cattle (Jasanka s.r.o)" deals with diseases in heard of cattle. Literary overview of the thesis is divided into particular chapters, the first chapter deals with significance of cattle breeding, which introduces thesis issues. Chapter, which separately describes czech spotted cattle as concrete species, follows. Within the chapter of thesis author is focused on the characteristics of this race, its linear description, nutrition and economics of cattle breeding. Next comprehensive chapter deals with specific disease IBR, diagnosis, symptoms and eradication possibilities. Last chapter defines National IBR eradication programme in Czech republic. In second part of the thesis, which is called material and methodology, author devoted to IBR disease in practice. In selected herd of Jasanka s.r.o. company author monitored development of the disease, what are disease consequences and how successful was the eradication performed within National eradication programme.
Bats - viral Pandora's box
Mejsnar, Martin ; Saláková, Martina (advisor) ; Kuthan, Martin (referee)
Bats, as a very old order of mammals, are significant reservoirs of viral pathogens and in many cases are also scientifically proven carriers of the viruses. These viruses are becoming more and more known, mainly due to the growing human population and thus the frequent contact of humans and bats. In this work I will follow up only some zoonoses that the Chiroptera family carries and I selected them according to their scientific knowledge and, of course, the impact on human society. However, this area is still full of information unclear or completely unknown, so further research is desirable. The basic methods of virus identification that are used to investigate new viruses are discussed in the second part. Key words: bats, virus, zoonosis, reservoir, epidemics
Honey bee (Apis mellifera) virome
Kadlečková, Dominika ; Tachezy, Ruth (advisor) ; Rothová, Olga (referee)
Microbiome is composed of all microorganism (fungi, bacteria, archea, protozoa, virus) sharing the same space at the same time. Virome which consists of viruses either of the host or viruses of other microorganisms and of genetic elements derived from viruses, is part of the microbiome. Microbiome plays a role in a number of processes which are vital for development and survival of the host. Virome can affect host either directly or indirectly by interaction with other parts of microbiome. This thesis is focused on virome of Apis mellifera, globally managed pollinator. Viral diseases are one of the factors responsible for high colony losses of this pollinator and therefore this work is mostly dedicated to those viruses which were confirmed as pathogens of Apis mellifera. Also, their interaction with other pathogens of Apis mellifera, which leads to great losses of these pollinators will be discussed. Key words: virome, honey bee, Apis mellifera, honey bee viruses, colony losses
Highly multiplexed virus detection in research of multifactorial diseases
Kunteová, Kateřina ; Cinek, Ondřej (advisor) ; Saláková, Martina (referee)
Next generation sequencing, which allows concurrent parallel sequencing of many samples and makes it possible to distinguish the infection from multiple viral types in the sample, is well suited as a detection format for such assays described below. The aim of the thesis was to develop a method that could detect all known types of human adenoviruses, human enteroviruses, and bacteriophages selected for their presence in the intestine. Using the next- generation sequencing. The first step was to design primers capable of detecting all known types of viruses, covering the area that is capable of distinguishing these viruses. This method was tested on a set of 47 human adenovirus samples and 30 human enterovirus samples of known serotype. Samples with two serotypes in different proportions were also created. After amplification of the target genome, the samples were purified and sequenced on MiSeq, Illumina. The method was further used in the typing of adenoviruses, enteroviruses and bacteriophages in pre-diabetic cohorts of DIPP, MIDIA, and a cohort of diabetics from African and Asian countries. The tested sample was RNA / DNA isolated from the stool specimen. We have demonstrated that the method is capable to detect all tested virus types, including infections with two different types, even if the...
Antivirotické účinky stilbenoidů proti klíšťaty přenášeným patogenům in vivo
MAŠKOVÁ, Hana
This study was focused on antiviral effects of stilbenoids against a virus transmitted by ticks. The cell viability of selected cell line cultures in the presence of various concentrations of stilbenoids was determined using the MTT assay. Similarly, the mixed effect of other known antiviral substances and stilbenoids was studied using the MTT assay. Both the prophylactic effects of stilbenoids on the infected culture cell lines and the effect on viral replication were examined. The viral titres from samples were determined using plaque assay. Some of the experiments were performed also in vivo using laboratory mice.
Effect of pH on initiation of viral infection
Vomáčka, Petr ; Španielová, Hana (advisor) ; Šmahelová, Jana (referee)
In organisms, acidic pH occurs either in the intracellular or extracellular environment. Intracellularly an acidic pH is found in particular cellular compartments, such as early and late endosomes or lysosomes. In the extracellular space, the acidic pH is found in hypoxic tissues, or in tissues where inflammation or tumour growth occurs. The value of the pH is usually in the range of approximately from 5.5 up to 6.5. This work focuses on the description of the conformation changes of viral proteins, which occur due to a decreased pH and lead to escape of viral components from membrane compartments. Changes in pH in organelles of endocytic pathways as well as changes in extracellular pH affect significantly the infection of many viruses. Research on the role of pH during the viral can bring important information for the development of antiviral and anticancer treatment. Key words: virus, conformation, pH, receptor, endocytosis
Malware analysis methods and tools
Kuľha, Róbert ; Luc, Ladislav (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
This bachelor thesis adresses the topic of malware, a malicious software on the internet. Theoretical part is divided into several chapters, describing malware, its risks and prevention. In the first chapter, reader learns the definition of malware, its distribution and the history until presence. Content of another chapter will include anticipation of development and impact on society. At the end of the teoretical part, risks and threats, prevention and protection will be described. Anti-malware programs will be also described. Part of the practical part is the analysis of the actual malware behaviour applied to the PC. It deals with the construction, functionality and lifecycle of malware. Goal of this bachelor thesis is to familiarize readers with the ambush that arise during carelessness and inadequate protection during the use of the internet. At the same time, reader will learn in the practical part about how malware works and how to proceed with its removal.
