Flexible structure development for efficient heat transfer
The concept of security dilemma in the environment of outer space: the case of the Galileo system
Němečková, Marie ; Doboš, Bohumil (advisor) ; Špelda, Petr (referee)
This diploma thesis applies the well-established concept of security dilemma to the relatively new domain of outer space. It constructs a comprehensive modification of the concept for the outer space - the space security dilemma - and establishes criteria for the assessment of it while also discussing previous approaches. The thesis then applies this concept and established criteria, to the issue of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). More specifically, it focuses on the case of the European GNSS called Galileo and assesses the intentions behind its creation. Through this assessment, the thesis focuses on determining whether the European Union became a space security dilemma initiator by the development of the Galileo system. In order to confront the theoretical conclusions with praxis, the thesis then focuses on the case of the United States of America and the confrontation between GPS and Galileo. In its last chapter, the thesis replicates this approach on the cases of the Russian Federation (and its GLONASS) and the People's Republic of China (and its BeiDou/COMPASS).

The issues of the philosophical contexts of an animate and inanimate nature in the periodical Vesmir (2000-2010)
HUDATZKÁ, Kristina
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide the philosophical themes overview in the natural science periodical Vesmír in 2000-2010, which relate to an animate and inanimate nature. This topic wasn´t given an adequate attention in the literature, therefore the choice of this topic was obvious. The first part of this topic devotes to the natural science periodical Vesmír the history, the important personalities and the characteristic in the explored period. The next, main part of this topic is focused on analysis of explored articles, including stating the authors. With a made analysis I arrived at the conclusion, that the philosophical aspects of an animate nature is devoted more attention in the natural science periodical Vesmír. Most articles are focused on such philosophical themes, that they´re devoted to the gnoseological questions. The articles regarding the ontological, esthetic, ethical, axiological and cosmological problems are less frequent. I find the personal contribution of this bachelor thesis in wider and deeper way of looking at the world and approach to understanding the basic principles of the world.

Actors' behaviour and the militarization of space: Cooperation vs. conflict
Gréková, Lenka ; Doboš, Bohumil (advisor) ; Střítecký, Vít (referee)
The thesis deals with the question of militarization and weaponization of the outer space and it analyse the actor's behaviour regarding space militarization and weaponization. The aim of the thesis is to find out whether the key actors cooperate or not in dealing with the use of the outer space. The relations between the key actors are analysed from the perspective of the game theory, particularly with the two models of behaviour: prisoner's dilemma and the tragedy of the commons. These models are used based on the assumption that they best describe the relations between actors in international relations as either cooperative or competitive. The aim is to evaluate whether these two models are valid in researching the behaviour of the key actors in the question of militarization of space. The analysed actors are the United States, Russia and China, as these are the three most important and successful space-faring nations with the biggest potential in the future of space exploration. Analysing their relations, the thesis attempts to evaluate whether the two models of the game theory are valid or not. For evaluating the prisoner's dilemma, bilateral relations are analysed, for the tragedy of the commons, their multilateral relations are analysed. What we learn from the analysis is that both models...
