Quality School Evaluation by its Founder

The bachelor thesis Evaluation of school quality by its founder determines activities that are implemented at the level of regional education by founders of primary schools, mainly public schools, when assessing the quality of the schools. In the Czech Republic, the main authority for assessing of the quality conditions, progress and results of education is the Czech School Inspectorate. Its national competence is enshrined in Act No. 561/2004 Coll., on pre-primary, primary, secondary, higher vocational and other education. The evaluation criteria for individual grades are approved by the Minister of Education each year. In 2009-2012, a national project called "The Way to Quality" took place. It helped schools to implement internal evaluation - self-evaluation. Recommended criteria for school evaluation for founders were one of the outputs of the project. A research study of the bachelor thesis showed that founders evaluate activities of the headmaster to determine his financial reward or sanction, for example. The evaluation criteria for the headmaster's activities are not publicly accessible, unlike the schools evaluation which must be published in advance as stated in the Education Act. Trends in development of private kindergartens on the territory of the capital city of Prague in 2001 - 2015

1 ABSTRACT The dissertation is focused on analysis of the preschool education in the kindergartens founded by private founders on the territory of the capital city of Prague in 2001-2015 with emphasis on performance indicators, trends in development and specific aspects of this level of education. During the mentioned period, the number of new private kindergartens considerably increased. The private kindergartens represent a segment of preschool education which has been absent in the Czech Republic for a long time and which could secure varied offer of education including alternative approach, above-standard or non- standard concepts of the preschool education. Kindergartens represent the very first educational institution, which any child normally faces to, and which serves as a systematic field for education. The capital city of Prague has been chosen as a key-region of the Czech Republic with high level of dynamic changes and economic potential which also have influence on development of the preschool education.

COMPARISON CRITERIA BANKRUPTCY PROCEEDINGS Final work is focused on the realization of the insolvency proceedings in the Usti region in the posts of headmasters. As part of the research were approached founders of schools and school facilities for municipalities and county. The reference period bankruptcy proceedings 2014. The aim is to determine whether the founders - bankruptcy committee bankrupt, or if you use a pre-determined its other other selection criteria for candidates outside the criteria that are set by the law - Law no. 561/2004 Sb. on preschool, elementary, secondary, vocational and other training, as amended (the Education Act), the implementing decree no. 54/2005 Coll., on the particulars of the bankruptcy proceedings and bankruptcy committees, Law no. 563/2004 ., on teaching staff, as amended (the Act on Educational Staff). Comparison of relationships beetwen founders and headmasters of primary schools in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic

The objective of the thesis is an analysis, description and subsequent comparison of different aspects in relationships between the founders and the headmasters of primary schools, and subsequently a presentation of possible differences and similarities in these relationships in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia, in both legal and non-legal framework; and a description of the real situation of these relationships more than 20 years after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. The starting point for the research are relevant legal regulations, such as acts of parliament, delegated legislation and specific legal and other documents concerning founders of private and denominational schools. The Czech and Slovak educational systems had the same development since the foundation of Czechoslovakia in 1918. After the dissolution of Czechoslovak federation the development and changes in Czech and Slovak educational systems had a different, separate development. The relationship between the school founder and its headmaster has significant influence on the school activities and direction. The thesis describes similarities and differences in these relationships in both countries and points out possibilities for mutual inspirations.
School management from the perspective of the founder

This thesis deals with school management and relationships between its founders and directors. Laws and other standards formulating the relationships between schools and their founders are presented in the theoretical part. The thesis deals with management theory and employee motivation. Problematics related to competences of each participant is discussed in the theoretical part also. Furthermore, problematics of encroachment of founders to school directors competences is presented. The thesis discusses also the other part of the school management, i.e. the perspective of school founders on school directors work, and quality evaluation by directors. Results of the investigation work give a possibility to review the perspective of founders on their own work with respect to directors and also the view of directors on school founders. The thesis contains basic legislative rules for founders and school directors as it is stated in the Czech Republic and also some internal regulations stating the relationships between the two subjects. Formal and legislative impact on school management is observed together with relationships between participants and their collaborations. The empirical part is concentrated around investigation of this problematic for a group of school founders and school directors.
