RNDr. Lubomír Hanel, CSc. The aim of the diploma thesis is to create the unit plan, which is mainly intended for students in 5 th grades of Czech primary schools. Educational programs have been created for conditions in terms of the analysis of the topic of Water in the landscape. The practical outcome of this work is the development of two educational programs - Life in wetlands and Waterworld (methodology for teachers). Furthermore, there are worksheets which were used in the context of the pretest, posttest-1 and posttest - 2 to evaluate effectiveness of proposed programs. Microbiological excursions

This thesis work is aimed at the meaning of excursion in teaching biology at secondary vocational school for thematic complex of microbiology. The topic of microbiology is not attractive for students of secondary vocational school and it is very important to find out what the impact of the excursion will be on the knowledge of students who will participate on the excursion Part of this work is evaluation of excursion as an alternative method of teaching and its overall importance in the teaching of biology. Diploma thesis work brings an overview how the individual stages of the excursion should theoretically look like. It provides list of institutions and factories which may be asked for microbiology excursion in practice. Next part includes completely described excursion in brewery U Fleků including preparation realization and evaluation. Excursion was taken by two classes of different fields with identical pre concept of their studies. Part of the school phase of the excursion is testing students in the form of pre test with the knowledge of microbiology theme, particularly beer production and yeasting process. Toxic plants in teaching of biology at secondary schools

This diploma thesis is dedicated to teaching botany, and is focused namely on lessons concerning toxic plants. The first part deals with creating of worksheets for secondary school students for field trip into Botanic Garden of Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. The second part compares effectiveness of classical lesson and the field trip. Students of the first grades from four secondary schools (grammar schools) were divided into two groups.The first group was taught by classic conventional teaching in classroom (control group) and the second group (experimental) was taken for the field trip to the Botanic Garden of Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. The effectiveness of education was measured by means of a knowledge test before the lesson (pre-test) and after it (post-test). Level of knowledge increased in experimental groups and control groups, however, the difference between individual groups was not significant. Biological and Geological Excursions for second degree of primary school in the Třebíč areas

The aim of the presented master thesis is to prepare, realise and evaluate an efficiency of the alternative method of biology (natural history) teaching at second grade of primary school via excursion into natural areas of the Třebíč region. Four field trips dealing with botanical, zoological, geological and ecological focuses were realised. The theoretical part of the thesis is characterised the Třebíč region focusing on several different natural aspects with an emphasis on an interesting natural sites in this region that are suitable for teaching. Specific teaching methods that are useful for field trips are included in this part of the thesis. The practical part described four field trips including methodical instructions for teachers. Other didactic materials and worksheets are added in the appendices. The empirical part contains questionnaires and didactic tests that are used to monitor specific attitudes of 120 pupils from primary schools to teaching of natural, field trips and worksheets. The questionnaire results definitely proved the following: a) the biology (natural history) classes are among the favourite subjects of the 2nd grade primary school, b) most pupils considered the field trips as interesting and informative, c) worksheets are useful but do not enjoy it. Falconry as a Part of Curriculum at the Czech Schools

The thesis is focused on falconry lessons in primary and secondary schools in the Czech Republic. It introduces the theory of falconry: Past and Present, legislation, falconer and ethics, anatomy and physiology birds of prey, falconry equipment, protection of birds of prey and falconry contemporary significance. Suggests the possibilities that mediate falconry lessons in schools both within lessons and excursions. The thesis is the preparation and implementation of the above proposed teaching methods: Power Point presentations and worksheets aimed at training students in primary and secondary schools filled with falconry, falconer conversation and exemplary school excursion. Educational program in botanical garden using QR codes

This bachelor thesis covers the history as well as the current state of the Bečovská Botanical Garden. It concisely presents natural sciences and the possibility of incorporating field trips and educational programmes into elementary school education. The theoretical part also describes the educational activities offered by the Bečovská Botanical Garden. The following chapters cover the process of creating such educational activities as well as the activity sheets. In Chapter 5, QR codes are introduced, including their history and their use in non-education fields. Finally, QR codes in education are described in connection with the effort to individualize the education processes. The practical part of this thesis focusses on the education programme created by the author for the lower-secondary school pupils as the Botanical Garden does not offer a programme for this age group. The created programme is based on using QR codes when exploring the Bečovská Botanical Garden. It consolidates and expands the pupils' knowledge and puts the newly acquired skills into practice. The programme also requires demonstrating observation skills and the ability to use a map to navigate an unknown area. Nature Trail in the Klanovice Forest with Support ICT

This diploma thesis has aimed to elaborate a nature trail in the area of Klánovice Forest, which is the part of a nature park Klánovice - Čihadla in the eastern part of Prague and to complete the trail with electronic educational materials. The nature trail itself will consist of tagg stops enabling visitors to download texts and materials into their cell phones or tablets. The texts of the stops are supplemented with educational presentations, school work sheets and field work sheets. The content of the stops and related teaching materials have been prepared in accordance with systematic teaching of natural history and biology at primary schools and lower grades of grammar schools. The thesis also contains the results of a questionnaire survey of pupils' attitudes towards the use of modern technology at class; 213 questionnaires have been evaluated in total in the years 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013. The last part of the thesis and appendices contain own texts of stops and related educational materials. In spring 2014 this trail will be realized and educational materials will become a part of the texts on the individual stops and will be available to wide public.
