Effects of dance sport in the musculoskeletal system of adult individuals
JANÁČKOVÁ, Iveta
Dance sport is a demanding discipline; to participate in sport dance competitions needs daily training. Injuries and misbalance appear due to a huge strain and many dancers are forced to stop their career prematurely. There is not enough literature about the negative impact of dance sport on the musculoskeletal system available, so I decided to summarize the information. Another problem is an insufficient amount of information about possible compensation and prevention for sport dancers and dance coaches. In the theoretical part of the undergraduate thesis I focused on the description of basic kinesiology and anatomy of the musculoskeletal system, the characteristics of dance sport, and mainly on summarizing the information about the influence of this sport on the musculoskeletal system. The practical part of the undergraduate thesis consists of quality research made on two dance pairs and two non-sporting pairs. I got the necessary information from all participants from kinesiology analysis. I made questionnaires to get and complete the information about the dance pairs´ training. I compared the results with the results of kinesiology analysis of non-sporting pairs and I summarized the information about changes in the musculoskeletal system of dance pairs which might be caused by dance sport. Moreover, I planned compensatory exercises for dance pairs. The results of my research prove many effects on the musculoskeletal system and frequent injuries which might be caused by dance sport. Sport dancers should know about them. The undergraduate thesis can be used especially for sport dancers to provide them information about the possible negative impact of dance sport on the musculoskeletal system. It can also be used as an inspiration for dance sport coaches to include compensatory exercises into their lessons.
Příčiny eliminace koní ve vytrvalostních soutěžích a jejich prevence
ŠVARCOVÁ, Jana
The aim of this work was to acquire, process and evaluate information about the most common reasons for the elimination of horses from endurance competition races in the Czech Republic. Information about the veterinary status of horses was obtained from the main judges of various horse races held in the Czech Republic, from the horses' endurance cards, which record the factors evaluated during the competition itself, and where it is possible to find out what worsens most often, and how the cause manifests itself. Veterinary cards of individual horses and races were chosen randomly. The veterinary cards were evaluated with the aid of a full text commentary, giving detailed descriptions of each worsened factor, including their frequency. It was then suggested how problems could be avoided. Individual data was summarized, and the differences between individual groups of competitions were expressed. Based on the analysis of veterinary cards from participating horses in endurance competitions, recommendations were made on how to prevent problems, and what specific problems the riders should consider during the race. The most serious and common problems of horses in terms of endurance are described. It was found that the most common reason for the worsening of horses in endurance races is the factor known in Czech as "Chody", or Lameness. The most frequent deteriorating factor in veterinary controls was with the Mucous Membrane. In more than 80% of horses, more than two factors worsened during the race, which did not improve during the race in any way, but often even worsened. Many factors affect deterioration, from training and preparation of the horse, to the knowledge of the horse itself. The results show that most riders in the Czech Republic are not sufficiently informed. There is insufficient care for horses during endurance races. The riders are not experienced enough to prevent injuries or deterioration of the horse's health resulting in exclusion from races.

1 Current issues of international carriage by air Abstract The topic of this diploma thesis is Current issues of international carriage by air. Certainly, many interesting legal topics could be found within this theme, however the author chose to focus specifically on the concrete issue of air carrier liability for passenger injuries pursuant to Article 17 of Warsaw Convention and Article 17 (1) of the Montreal Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules for International Carriage by Air. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter presents the legal framework for the regulation of international private aviation law. The individual legal sources of the Warsaw System and the Montreal Convention, their scope and relations between these sources and the law of the European Union are presented. The second chapter deals in general with the liability of the air carrier under the Warsaw and Montreal Conventions. It defines the types of air carrier's liability covered by these conventions, the limits of air carrier's liability and the procedural aspects of the recovery of claims under the Warsaw and Montreal Conventions. In the third chapter, the author writes about the air carrier's liability for passenger injuries under the Warsaw and Montreal Convention, with a focus on defining the key terms...

Zervidis, Petros ; Malá, Jitka (advisor) ; Hlinovská, Jana (referee)
Title: A case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after a pertrochanteric fracture of the left femur. Thesis aim: The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the effects of the physiotherapy treatment that was provided to a patient who suffered a pertrochanteric fracture of the left femur. The first part of the thesis is intended to provide theoretical knowledge of the anatomical, kinesiological, and aetiological background of the pertrochanteric fracture, while also discussing potential physiotherapeutic approaches. The second part of this thesis illustrates the practical physiotherapeutic approach to a patient who suffered a pertrochanteric fracture of the left femur. Clinical findings: This case study is evaluating the condition of an 85-year-old patient who underwent an osteosynthesis surgical procedure after experiencing a pertrochanteric fracture of the left femur. The assessment took place 4 days post-surgery and illustrated a significant limitation of ROM on the operated side along with several musculoskeletal defects. Methods: All the methods and procedures incorporated in this work were based on the literature suggested by Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Physical Education and Sports. Result: After 11 sessions of physical therapy there was a notable improvement in the...

Bláha, Martin ; Majorová, Simona (advisor) ; Prokešová, Eva (referee)
Title: Level of first aid knowledge of ice hockey coaches Objectives: The main objective of this bachelor thesis was to determine the level of knowledge of ice hockey coaches regardless of the level of coaching license. The partial objectives are whether time since passing the coaching license affects the level of first aid knowledge of ice hockey coaches and whether first aid knowledge is higher in ice hockey coaches with higher coaching license. Methods: In my work, the method of anonymous survey was used. The questionnaire consisted of two parts, where the first part contained 9 general questions about coaching activities, from which i then evaluated the results and answered the research questions. The second part of the survey contained 18 questions on first aid knowledge. Results: Based on the survey, it was found that ice hockey coaches do not have sufficient knowledge in first aid. The results showed that the average success rate of the respondents (38) was only 58.3%. It was also found that time since licensure has a negative effect on the first aid knowledge of ice hockey coaches. Coaches who completed their coaching license studies recently (0-2 years) demonstrated better knowledge in this subject than coaches who completed their studies two or more years ago. Coaches who hold a B...
Knowledge of motor vehicle drivers of first aid procedures in traffic accidents
Vondrus, Marcel ; Majorová, Simona (advisor) ; Prokešová, Eva (referee)
Title: Knowledge of motor vehicle drivers of first aid procedures in traffic accidents Objectives: The diploma thesis aims to determine level of knowledge of motor vehicle drivers about first aid procedures in traffic accidents with the help of using own survey. Methods: Compilation, survey, analysis Results: The established hypothesis was confirmed. The knowledge of medically educated drivers about first aid procedures is sufficient, the knowledge of non-medical drivers is not. Success is not dependent on respondents' gender. One third of the respondents witnessed a car accident and more than one fifth already actively provided first aid. Keywords: First aid, traffic accident, injury, rescue
Recondition program for individual after meniscus injury.
Janota, Petr ; Hráský, Pavel (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
Title: Reconditioning program for individuals after meniscus distortion Student: Petr Janota Supervisor: PhDr. Pavel Hráský, Ph.D. Aims: The aim of the work was to assess the effectiveness of the reconditioning plan on the proband, which is after the injury and subsequent arthroscopy of the knee joint. The effectiveness of the reconditioning plan will be evaluated by improving the values in the pretest and posttest using a diagnostic test battery including postural stability, run analysis, muscle strength and kinesiological analysis. Methodology: After an initial literature search and subsequent pretest, a reconditioning program was compiled, which was then applied to the proband. During this reconditioning plan, body composition parameters were monitored using Tanita MC-980, strength of knee extensors and flexors using HumacNorm, locomotion symmetry using 3D running, lower limb circumference parameters, shortened muscle groups according to Janda. Results: I compared the comparison of pretest and posttest values on a selected proband and I noticed an improvement in the body weight parameter in the body composition parameter. Furthermore, the maximum strength of the knee extensors at the operated leg improved and the proband improved in many parameters in the locomotion symmetry parameter. There was...
Tennis-specific, functional, strength, and mobility exercises to improve the performance and prevent injuries
Kosejková, Barbora ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Kočíb, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Compensatory exercise as one of the possible means of injury prevention for tennis players Aim: The aim of this thesis was based on professional articles and available literature to identify and describe the most common injuries that occur in adult tennis players of all performance levels and then focus on creating a set of compensatory exercises (relaxing, strengthening and stretching) that could lead to reduction. risk of injury. Methods: The thesis was based on empirical character. Both findings from professional literature and articles published in peer-reviewed journals were used. The proposed compensatory exercises were selected on the basis of professional literature and articles, which focused either on the elimination of imbalances and injury prevention in tennis players, or on exercises typical and suitable for tennis player development, whether from performance (skill) or physical (physiological) point of view. Conclusion: Based on the literature and articles, it was found that the most common mechanism of tennis injuries is due to overload, which means that tennis players train more time than optimal and does not sufficiently compensate. As a result, there is a large unilateral load and this can cause many negative changes in the locomotor system. Tennis injuries to players can...
