Supervize perception of social workers depending on the length of their practice

This diploma thesis is dealing with topic of supervision, especially with its perception by social workers depending on length of their working experience. Supervision is mostly perceived as a resource for professional growth of employees or as prevention against burnout syndrome. Regardless of how supervision is perceived, we cannot disclaim it has significant influence in area of helping professions. The goal of practical part is to describe opinions of social workers on supervision according to the length of their working experience. To find this aim out were defined two research questions: 1. How social workers perceive supervision? 2. How their opinions have been changing in the course of their working experience? For reaching out this goal was chosen qualitative strategy, method of questioning. Interviews were not controlled. The obtained data were afterwards elaborated by method of clustering. Based on the obtained results I suppose goal of this thesis was fulfilled. I found out how social workers perceive the supervision with an effort to take into account the influence of increasing working experience on that perception with taking their working experience into consideration. Social workers perceive supervision very positively in general. As well they perceive supervision as part of their profession. The supervision is perceived more negatively during the high school or university studies. However opinions of respondents on supervision were not significantly changeable during working experience. Results of this diploma thesis may be used as informational material for employers which are responsible for provision of supervisions in social services organisations. As well may this thesis be a resource of interest for social workers who are unsatisfied with supervision and have negative attitude to it.
Web Service for Master's Theses Supervision

This thesis deals with design and implementation of new version of web portal for master's thesis supervisioin. The website is written in PHP using Nette framework. The goal of this application is to simplify the work of theses supervisors. The application provides supervisors with overview of students' activity by weekly reports. It allows students to cooperate and share information and motivation. The main reasons for creating a new implementation were improvement and extension of functionality and improvement of user interface and user experience. Results of testing show that all the above-mentioned changes were successful. Users are more satisfied, especially with the user interface.
How are the topic of professional ethics recurring in the process of supervision of social services?

The thesis is focused on the topic of professional ethics in social services and its reflection in the supervisory process. The thesis is divided into two parts, the interpretation and the research, and aims to explore the topic of professional ethics in social services in the supervisory process from the perspective of supervisors. Research is conducted using qualitative research strategies, through interviews with eight supervisors. The data analysis brings several conclusions, one of them is the fact that supervision is essential for the professional ethics of social workers. Supervision contributes in that social work is based on a more conscious professionalism and less on intuition. This all brings a more comprehensive picture of the influence of supervision on the compliance with professional ethics in social services. Supervision as a possible support for hospice employees

This dissertation originates in research project Potřeby a podpora pracovníků poskytujících paliativní péči v hospicích (FHS_P19_2014_068) (Paliative Hospices Care Staff Needs and Support) which was implemented in 2015. The dissertation deals with needs of hospices staff. These are derived from demands and requirements placed on the staff and correlate with their workload. I express management strategies and attitudes related to staff support. In the theoretical part of the dissertation I survey organization culture and ways and means of staff care. One of the care forms may be supervision. I⁠ focus on its possible form (shape) and supervisor's function. The empirical part of the dissertation is based on the research performed in two hospices. I focus on facility description and provided care. It is based on conversations with staff and management of these facilities. I try to depict the way management views the staff support, demanding situations they are exposed to and their idea of management support. Last but not least I⁠ focus on the supervision area, the way the staff perceives it, to what extent they see it as a contribution (benefit) and what do they expect of it. A comparison of the organization of supervision over the financial market in individual EU member states

In my diploma thesis, I aim to define and compare models of financial market supervision used in the European Union member states. Furthermore, I try to analyze the development of these states between 2001 and 2015. Lastly, I attempt to predict their future development. The thesis contains a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part consists of three chapters and the last two chapters are practical. In the first chapter, I attempt to describe the financial market and provide a theoretical definition of supervision. Next, I focus on regulation, supervisors and supervised entities. Finally, I also deal with the purpose and aims of financial supervision. A well-defined terminology is crucial to any study involving financial market supervision. In the second chapter, I discuss three basic models of financial market supervision I recognize in the European Union member states. In the third chapter, I focus on the role of the financial market supervisors, their responsibilities and independence. In the fourth chapter, I describe the structure of financial markets in each member state of the European Union from 2001 to 2015. Reflective skills of trainee teachers of English language during their teaching practice: Case study

This thesis examines the reflection skills of student English teachers at the Faculty of Education at Charles University in Prague during their teaching practice. The theoretical part introduces the reflective teaching model and looks into the phenomena of the teacher as reflective practitioner. The empirical part deals with the trainee teacher's reflection and methods, topics, depth and frequency. A significant part of the research also examines the influence of university employees (teacher mentors, supervisors, methodologists) as incentive supporters of the students' professional development regarding reflection. Analysis of the Means of the Implementation of the Teachers' In-service Education from the Management Perspective

In-service education of teachers represents one of the key parts of strategic development of the Czech system of education. The work focuses on the problem from the perspective of the school`s management and analyses the part it plays in implementation of in-service education. The aim of the work is to interpret the ways how in-service education is approached and the means of its implementation in primary and secondary schools. The work itself is divided into two main parts. The characteristics of in-service education and the state of the art are described in the first part. The approach of the management of schools to the problems of in- service education is analyzed through the questionnaire in the second part. At the end of the work, the conclusions resulting from this inquiry are described in detail. Supervision of Workers in Social Services on the Field of One-to-one Assistance in Organization Hewer for Center of Prague 2

Thesis called "Supervision of workers in social services on the field of one-to-one assistance following on standards for quality of social services in organization Hewer for center of Prague 2" puts a target to find out, how workers in social services of the Hewer organization for center of Prague 2 perceive supervision, if they consider it as a possibility of increasing their proficiency, and if this possibility is fully used by them, if they are conscious of it and know about its existence. At the beginning of the thesis, there is introduced background information which led to choosing this topic. It the treatise of this thesis, there is described, what is a supervision, who is a supervisor and types of supervision too. Next part describes social services, where the one-to-one assistance is introduced to deeper details. Further, there are standards for quality of social services and a description of supervision from the point of view of "The Guide for providers of social services ". Then, the thesis provides information about the Hewer organization. The practical part of the thesis deals with survey. An evaluation of the target is a part of the conclusion.
Social Work Supervision - a Tool Affecting Professional and Personal Develoment of Employees

Supervision is a tool which supports employees to perceive and reflect on their work and helps to find new solution in problematic situations. It makes employees´ mind stronger and it is relevant prevention against burnout effect. It increases the quality of provided services. The topic of this bachelor thesis is Social Work Supervision - a Tool Affecting Professional and Personal Development of Employees. The aim of thesis was to map the factors which influence supervision process at employees in contact centre. The main research task was to find out how employees in contact centre perceive the supervision. The methodology used in this research was qualitative research strategy. The method of half-structured interview was used for data-gathering. Informants were chosen by the technique of complete selection from the team working in the Contact Centre in Strakonice which works also in the Contact Centre in Prachatice. It is evident that employees' experiences influence their approach to the supervision. Every employee in this Centre has an experience with a supervision. The team supervision was put into practice in both Contact Centres in Strakonice as well as in Prachatice. Having good relationships among the members of a team as well as with the leader is necessary for salutary course of supervision. The priority is to be straightforward, communicative and to have mutual confidence. Important factors also include the imbedded conditions of supervision which the supervisees know beforehand, such as the time-frame, the venue of the supervision, or the assignment of one permanent supervisor. For employees, the supervision represents a space for sharing feelings and experience, different perspectives on complex situations. It is a space for gaining specific support, assurance that the work carried out is meaningful or that it is carried out well. Employees consider the feedback to be a significant part of the supervision.
