Music therapy for children with autism

Music Therapy and Children with Autism Abstract The thesis entitled Music Therapy and Children with Autism deals with the characteristics of childhood autism and introduces music therapy as one of the possible forms of therapies, by means of which the development of children with autism can be positively influenced. The objective of the thesis is to record and organize theoretical knowledge regarding therapeutic effect of music on children with autism. The practical, empiric, part of the thesis aims to analyze the impact of music therapy on the development of pupils of special elementary schools, primarily in the area of communication. Three demonstrations of music therapy lessons applied within the process of the target group therapy are included as well as case studies of pupils with autism, individual therapy plans and their evaluation. Games for the Teaching of Skiing to Children of a Young School Age

Jedním z nejpřirozenějších projevů života je pohyb. Radost z pohybu - tedy ze života - by měla být spontánně pěstována v každém z nás již od útlého věku. Právě lyžování může být jednou z cest, která v nás může probudit jedny z nejintenzivnějších prožitků a umožnit nám procítit opravdovou radost ze života. Najdeme-li ve svém srdci místo pro tuto výjimečnou zimní aktivitu, otevřeme se zároveň i okolní přírodě - ledovému království, které nás tak majestátně obklopuje a svou magickou silou učí každého respektovat vnitřní řád přírody - nekonečný koloběh života, který nemůže nikdo z nás zastavit ani změnit jeho směr. Budeme-li pozorně naslouchat a respektovat tuto sílu, naučíme se tím respektovat i sebe navzájem - respektovat život.

Possibilities of psychological assessment and school performance of pupils with hearing impairment

My work deals with the possibilities of psychological diagnostic of hearing impaired children.It is divided into two parts: theoretical and research. The theoretical section describes and differentiates the hearing impaired population from audiological, psychological and social views. It further examines questions of teaching this group of children in the past and present. The third part of this section describes the specifics of psychological diagnosis of the hearing impaired. The research section of my work describes empirical results of research and sources of research data.. The research itself includes longitudinal data psychological examinations of students in two schools for hearing impaired children. The data is processed in quantitative form of median results for each individual examination. Next correlation and comparison of possible relations is evaluated between performed examinations. The third part consists of data grouped together by results into groups A, B, and C. From these groups are confirmed diagnostics profiles of probands which are illustrated qualitatively by several casuistic. The conclusion describes and confirms proven research hypothesis and interpreted results in context of specific teaching needs for different groups proven by this longitudinal research.

Ing Jitka Vodáková, CSc. Abstract: The objective of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze experiential education and its role in pre-school education. The aim is to demonstrate on particular examples the positive influence experiential education has on child's personality development between the age of 3 and 7. The thesis explains general principles used in experiential education such as motivation, rules, evaluation of the process, psychological aspects, and teachers' training. The analysis reflects the historical context which led to the development of experiential education. Additionally, it draws upon scientific knowledge about child's development; namely, personality and social development, speech development, and development of perceptional, cognitive, and motor skills. The thesis also explains the importance of practical activities, narration, and role-playing in pre- school education. AUTHOR: Tomáš Herzina DEPARTMENT: Institute professional development in education SUPERVISOR: PaedDr. Otakar Mojžíš ABSTRACT: Aim: The aim of this dissertation was to find possibilities of downhill skiing of preschoool and younger school age children in the region of UL and Teplice. The suitability of skiing resorts for skiing children and their teaching skiing. The comparison of ski school in the region and their ways of teaching. The another aim was to prepare the model of ski training for children and its application in teaching skiing in children and verrification of its effectiveness. Methods: The research is based on the interview (semi-structured), observation (hidden, open, participating) and data collection from the literature and the internet. Obtained data from the literature and the internet served as basis used to create questiones for an interview with skischool instructors. Results: We found that ski resorts in the region could be recomended for children and for families with small kids and for teaching skiing . This work is about contemporary vizuality and especialy about photography in art education process. I think that picture and photography today in art education concepts is very important and can to children help to decode many latent symbols and informations. My work will give some keys for understand very difficult problems, which are saved into reality. Look at the real scenes of world and at pictures is the same as walk through the photographic gate. This GATE contains many other wals which way the children can use. Photography can be one of many ways how transformed and think reality, how discover mysteries of life and how touch a part of real time. Children and vizuality is one big area for art and art-education at school, especialy on basic school. Good teacher must be good manager of thinking - in this area of goog thinking during the (photo)picture. 1 feel Photography as fundamental problem in univerzity program of art. Singing Scales in the Lower Grades of Primary School with a Focus on the First Grade

The diploma thesis deals with a problem of non-singing (unmusical) young children. It presents and evaluates methods of solution in contemporary practice of primary school teachers. Theoretical part is devoted to children's voice, different approaches of teachers to the improvement/remedy of non- singing/unmusical children, analysis of commercial textbooks and methodological handbooks for the first class which are used now in teaching practice at primary schools. The second part is composed of a research probe. Using questionnaires, information on the method of solving the problem of non- singing/unmusical children in contemporary practice has been obtained. Use of Drama education in Therapy

The whole thesis deals with the development, characterization and use of dramatherapy. It contains the description of paratheater systems, their differences and the work with dramatic resources. It shows various faces of drama. It brings definitions of dramatherapy, which help us determine the sense, aims and position in the system. The work also considers historic roots of dramatherapy originating in ancient world, the present use of this psychotherapeutic technique both in our country and abroad. The last chapter describes the use of drama techniques in practice, it mantions their application in the work with family, children patients or clients who require a specific approach{\dots} Dramatherapy in the Czech Republic is not as much spread as abroad, however, in the last couple of years it has experienced remarkable progress.

Taring advantages of drama therapy in individuals

The first part of the bachelor's thesis deals with the mental retardation, determination, classification and etiology. It is emphasising importance of the education of the child with light mental disability, which is possible to be used in form of the therapeutic-formative intervention. The second part of the bachelor's thesis deals with the area of drama therapy that describes the therapeutic-formative approach. It refers to possibilities of application of the drama therapeutic techniques and exercises in area of treatment of the children with mild mental disablement. The third part of the bachelor's thesis focuses on the proposal of the drama therapeutic programme, which main contribution is development of the verbal and nonverbal communication abilities. There is a presentation of ten lessons of the drama therapy programme with focus on the prevention of problems in the communication.
