The role of probation and mediation at work with troubled youth

Graduation thesis called The role of probation and mediation at work with troubled youth ranges probation and mediation service into the system of methods whitch works with troubled youth. The first chapter describes the dilemma of social deviation in general and specifies possible causes of deliquency of young people. According to these causes the probation worker might decide for concrete model of work with client. Main part of the thesis is dedicated to Probation and Mediation Service of the Czech Republic as the covering organisation of probation and mediation. There is described history and roots of probation service, clients and probation workers specifics as well as practical modes of work with client. The thesis concernes laws linked to this topic, specificly Zákon o odpovědnosti mládeže za protiprávní činy a o soudnictví ve věcech mládeže (218/2003 Sb.) and Zákon o probační a mediační službě (257/2000 Sb.). The last part is focused on the supervision in helping professions concerning the Probation and Mediation Service. This chapter contains also draft of the supervisory system and further education of the probation workers.

An unknown Manuscript for a Harp by Elias Parish Alvars in the czech Muzeum of Music

Until now among the works catalogue of the harpist and composer Elias Perish Alvars there was no trace of a composition called " Grande Fantasie sur des Airs Nationaux Anglais" for solo harp. We have found it in the library archive of the Czech Museum of Music in Prague: it is a manuscript autographed by the composer, dated 1843 and never publishe before.The main section of the dissertation regards the manuscript itself. The studying of it has been faced from a formal, harmonic, stylistic and historic point of view. After an introduction about the "Fantasia" every air is examined in detail, without leaving out the historic information behind every section. The most important part is then the critical edition of the manuscript that respects very carefully all the indications made by Parish Alvars in person.After a section to the enchanting figure of the composer, his life, works and the period he had lived in, the work gives references also to the double action pedal harp that had the main role in the harp music harp since its patent of 18140. The "Grande Fantasie" interesting discovery is composition and we are glad to present it in this dissertation work.

Utilization of Project Method in Teaching of Natural Science at Secondary School

The bachelor thesis deals with project methods in science subjects at secondary schools. In the theoretical part are explained the main concepts, the description of the project method, the types and phases of project method and it finally describes the Framework educational programmes for secondary schools. Great attention is paied to the implementation of the project method in science subjects. The practical part includes the expert research orientated to detecting teachers' experience and their use of design methods and views on the proposed project example.

The bachelor thesis "Analysis of the economy of allowance organization in concrete conditions of Country library in Pardubice" consists of theoretical part and practical part. First part is dedicated to describing the allowance organizations and their accounting. Second part is about division of libraries. In practical part activity of Country library in Pardubice and several departments of library are described. Attention is mainly focused on analysis of the economy, analysis of costs and revenues in the years 2006 -- 2008.

Comparison of selected Czech and Slovak academic libraries : on the example of Charles University in Prague and Comenius University in Bratislava

(in English) The goal of the thesis is to describe, evaluate and compare the present state of university libraries at the Charles University in Prague and Comenius University in Bratislava. The first chapter briefly describes the present state of Czech and Slovakian university libraries, their anchorage in the laws of the given state and also deals with societies associating the university libraries. The second chapter describes history, present and prospects of three selected faculties of Charles University and Comenius University (Faculty of Art, Faculty of Law and Faculty of Physical Education and Sport) and also the buildings where the faculties are located are described. The third chapter already follows up the libraries of the selected faculties, their history, services, personnel, space descriptions, and their promotion among the general public etc.. The fourth and fifth chapter presents the main body of the work. These chapters include assessment of the questionnaire survey, between to the directors of the selected libraries, and comparison of these libraries on the basis of the survey and other obtained data. First of all we are going to focus on their frequency and way of implementation. It means that we will monitor the amount of directed free throws on the basis of matches watched on the Men's European Handball Championship in Norway. At the same time, our aim is to find out the way how each team passes these free throws and what the efficiency is. Last but not least goal is to compare the observed effects among more and less successful teams. The history, the present and the perspectives of development of Moravian-Silesian Scientific Library in Ostrava

Moravskoslezská vědecká knihovna uspokojuje informační potřeby svých uživatelů prostřednictvím kvalitních profesionálních služeb na bázi informačních technologií. Magisterská práce popisuje historii knihoven a knihovnictví v Severomoravském kraji, kde knihovnictví mělo v oblasti kulturně výchovné práce rozhodující význam. Soustředí se na vznik a vývoj vědecké knihovny v Ostravě, na její postupnou automatizaci, která se s rozvojem informačních technologií stala nedílnou součástí všech oblastí knihovny. V této práci je popsán fond knihovny, jsou zde uvedeny roční přírůstky i celkový stav fondu knihovny. Magisterská práce popisuje také regionální funkce knihovny a analyzuje široké spektrum služeb, které knihovna nabízí a tím přispívá k vzdělávání a vzdělanosti obyvatel Moravskoslezského kraje. Závěr práce je věnován budoucnosti knihovny. Je zde popsána soutěž o návrh architektonického řešení nové knihovny a prostorové řešení novostavby, které umožní zefektivnění práce vědecké instituce. Cílem práce je popsat jak historii, tak současný stav knihovny a zamyslet se nad perspektivami vývoje, které by vedly ke zkvalitnění služeb této významné vědecké instituce.

Community work as a method of social work in palliative care

The thesis presents social worker?s responsibilities in palliative care, with special focus on working with the general population. In the first chapter the term palliative care is explained and the activities of the palliative team in the Gmünd regional hospital and the local association of volunteer hospice workers introduced. Community work in the framework of social work is of particular interest. The last chapter contains an examination of the Gmünd-Česke Velenice region and an introduction to the project ?healthacross?. Possibilities of cross-border cooperation will also be taken into consideration. A sociological survey measures the public?s awareness about palliative care provided by the local hospital in the town of Gmünd. The results are presented in tables and charts at the end of the thesis.

Implementing Edge Clustering for Graphs

The objective of the thesis is to explore graph layout and edge clustering to improve graph visibility and the overall edge crossings. A summary of tools focusing on improving of graph visualisation is given. The thesis describes in more details a method of geometry--based edge clustering. Further, the method is implemented in a C++ library. The library itself can handle both simple and more complex graphs with a lot of vertices and edges.

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na analýzu současného postavení a vztahů společnosti Rašelina a.s. se sídlem v Soběslavi. V teoretické části je popsána základní teorie sociologie a ekonomiky organizací. Praktická část práce je zaměřena na rozbor sociálních a ekonomických vazeb konkrétní organizace Rašelina a.s. V úvodu praktické části je popsána historie společnosti včetně základních prvků transformace ze státního podniku na akciovou společnost. Rozbor současné ekonomické situace společnosti je zaměřen na její pozici na trhu v ČR, rozbor jejích konkurentů a v neposlední řadě na její podnikatelskou strategii. Rozbor sociálních vazeb společnosti je zaměřen na prostředí a management společnosti. Podrobně je definována a analyzována kultura a vnitřní a vnější vztahy společnosti. Rozbor sociálního postavení společnosti je zakončen definováním vztahů společnosti k lokální veřejné správě a k neziskovým organizacím. V závěru práce jsou uvedeny variantní návrhy řešení některých otázek současného postavení společnosti Rašelina a.s.
