The photo editor as a gatekeeper
Vodáková, Lucie ; Turek, Pavel (referee) ; Láb, Filip (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the work of Czech photo editors in a daily and weekly papers. The work analyzes what their function in media is, what their common day looks like, who they are speaking with and then what their daily decisions about photographs are. The first chapters describe the role of photo editors as gatekeepers. I try to compare what was their job earlier, when the time of technological convergence didn't exist. I deal with a photo editing practicies like searching, selection and gathering materials too. The second analytic part consist of the deep interviews with photo editors and other members of newsroom. I compare their information with the information of foreign media books. The object of the thesis is to show on six chosen important Czech daily and weekly papers how the photo editors work, what is their leading role and whether they are important for the organization or not.

Ways of dealing with drug related public nuisance in the City Prague
Hubínková, Markéta ; Nečas, Vlastimil (referee) ; Janíková, Barbara (advisor)
The main theme of this thesis is the problems of drug related public nuisance in the Prague City Center. This problems affect almost all EU member states including the Czech Republic. Specifically, the capital of Prague was trying to solve this problem in the recent years. This phenomenon is certainly not new, but it ran out of patience. Possible solutions are many but they always depends on the particular company and their attitude to the solution you choose. The result to be effective both for society and for themselves drug users. The goal of this thesis is a comprehensive view of drug related public nuisance in the Prague City Center. The thesis also includes research among those interested in this issue. The results of that thesis are those of the current status of this issue in the City Center. Prague and its options that would be effective to eliminate this problem. The work also includes a possible solution to problems of drug related public nuisance. The research results were obtained by using semistructured interview with 9 respondents. The respondents are the members of the local government, and the repressive part series, drug dependence workers and other experts on the drug problem.

Study of transferrin as a marker of congenital disorders of glycosylation
Ondrušková, Nina ; Stiborová, Marie (advisor) ; Befekadu, Asfaw (referee)
Congenital disorders of glycosylation (CDG) represent a heterogeneous group of mul- tisystemic metabolic disorders which are caused by defects in biosynthetic pathways of glycoproteins. The screening test for N-glycosylation disorders is the analyses of sialylated isoforms of serum transferrin (Tf) by means of isoelectric focusing (IEF). Two distinct pathological IEF patterns of Tf are observed. A type I pattern is cha- racterized by a decrease of tetra- and an increase of di- and asialotransferrin, whereas a type II pattern shows in addition an increase of tri- and monosialotransferrin. The aims of diploma thesis were: 1) to evaluate reference range for spectrum of sialylated forms of Tf separated by IEF and 2) to perform biochemical and molecular analyses in three patients (P1-P3) with clinical suspicion for CDG. Serum and genomic DNA from three patients with clinical suspicion for CDG and family members of P1 were analysed. Sera from 99 healthy volunteers within the age range of 2-42 years served as a control group. Tf was analysed by IEF with direct immunofixation, SDS-PAGE and Western blot using specific antibody against human Tf (Dako). Profiles of Tf were quantified by AlphaEaseFC software (Alpha Innotech). Data were analysed by software STATISTICA 9.0 (StatSoft). TF a PMM2 genes were analysed...

Methods for finding best answer with different user preferences
Eckhardt, Alan ; Vojtáš, Peter (advisor) ; Pokorný, Jaroslav (referee)
User preferences are one of new aspects in informatics, e.g. in domain of semantic web. This work tries to cover the whole problematic of user preferences, their modeling, various aspects of generating user preferences and their evaluation. It also studies the area of group decision and finding answer that suits all members of group. Next part follows the paper of Ronald Fagin, Amnon Lotem, Moni Naor about the top-k algorithm. The new independent system for the top-k algorithm is presented, some implementations of this algorithm are tested and the influence of modules of algorithm on the speed and the number of rows are studied.

Viability evaluation on cultivated mezenchymal cells
Jehličková, Jana ; Odstrčilík, Jan (referee) ; Čmiel, Vratislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the possibilities of cell viability determination and its evalution. The thesis in theory describes cell cultivation, different methods of staining cells and display options. In the practical part is mentioned the preparation of the observed experiment and there are shown the examples of cell images created by confocal microscopy. Malware Analysis: Tools and Techniques
Danilov, Marcel ; Luc, Ladislav (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
This bachelor thesis adresses present day topic of broad interest, the topic of malware. This term stands for malicous software as viruses, worms, trojans, spyware etc. Simply put a software with intent to do harm to the users of computers or mobile devices, to their steal information or gain access to their private computer systems. This thesis is divided into several chapters. First few of them are theoretical. First one describes malware in general. It defines what malware is and divides it into categories. Second chapter introduces a discipline of malware analysis. A discipline where malware, its components and behaviour is analysed in laboratory environment. This chapter contains general description of malware analysis, categories in which is this analysis divided, and rules of said analysis. Third chapter goes even further into malware analysis. It describes and identifies its indiviual techniques and tools. Last chapter is focused on practical usage of malware analysis. Theoretical knowledge of malware analysis, specifically knowledge of tools and techniques described in previous chapters is demonstrated on real, live example of malware. Thanks to demonstration of tools and techniques; funcionality, structure and life cycle of mentioned piece of malware is also being analyzed. Goal of this thesis is to bring reader closer to the topic of malware, with emphasis on area of malware analysis. This contains an explanation what an malware analysis is, what is its purpose. Next goal is to develop a summary of malware analysis basic tools and techniques. Thesis contribution is application of knowledge of techniques and tools on real malware analysis.
