Detection of Ionizing Radiation in Radiological Controlled Area of Nuclear Power Plant Temelín.
DOUDOVÁ, Vendula
The power plant Temelin is equipped with the modern system of radiation control. The system meets high technical standard. It ensures the control of all parameters according requirements of our legislative and government authority. The system provides the control in such dimension to have necessary information about irradiation of workers and the population in neighbourhood, outlets to environment, and about the situation in the some selected technological circuits and systems. It is necessary to monitor the integrity of barriers in every mode of power plant Temelin including emergency and post-emergency conditions. The working environment in contained area of the power plant Temelin is monitored with stationary monitoring system and with the mobile instruments according the approved operational manual. The workplace monitoring is realized with surveillance, measurement, evaluation and recording parameters of ionizing radiation field and the occurrence of radionuclides in working area, especially the dose equivalent on the working area and the volume activities in the environment and the surface activities.

Vejvoda, Zdeněk ; Tyllner, Lubomír (advisor) ; Slavický, Tomáš (referee) ; Stavělová, Daniela (referee)
Different Forms of Ldndler in the Czech Lands in the Light of Manuscripts of Jiří J B. Hartl (1781-1849) ofStará Paka is a doctoral thesis investigating the position of Hindler in the Czeeh dance repertory of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. A dance in triple meter of German origin, landler became famous aU over Europe. Drawing on eolleetions of folk dance from the Czeeh Lands (ineluding boundary regions with prevailing German population), researchers havebrought together over 750 melodies - mostly instrumental - which were known under various names sueh as lendler, štajryš, tajč, tyrol etc. The richest and oldest source is the manuscript coUection of danee melodies, made in 1811- 1822 by Jiří Josef Benedikt Hartl (1781-1849), a teacher from Stará Paka, a town situated at the foot of the Krkonoše Mountains in the north of the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the thesis seeks to explain the general context, cultural and historical, of landler's popularity in the region of North-East Bohemia, paying special attention to village teachers and their activities. Trying to identify the most frequent way of spreading dance instrumental melodies, the research has given prominence to migrant musicians, but cultural exchange in regions with a population of varied ethnie origin also played a role....

Approach to the life insurance from the perspective of Czech population
Loudová, Martina ; Jílek, Josef (advisor) ; Kubelková, Karina (referee)
The life insurance is an integral part of financial market, although changing its importance during the development. This thesis aims to carry out a research focused on the approach and attitude of the Czech population to the life insurance and its resulting analysis. The research was conducted through a questionnaire survey effected on an independent sample of the Czech population in the number of 185 respondents and a case study MetLife insurance company. The thesis does not neglect the theoretical background, current trends in the life insurance and the future prognosis. The results of analysis refer to the dependence of approach to the life insurance on the factors of age, the number of household members, the actual amount of outstanding liabilities and the gross monthly income. The lack of knowledge of respondents on the profitability, the risk and the liquidity of their life insurance policies and its dependence on the factor of achieved education were proved. In the case of a higher number of concluded life insurance contracts they diversify the risk and use different insurers. It also came out that the life insurance has recently kept losing its original meaning in the sense of risk instrument and is perceived still more as a savings and an invesment instrument. Although the current approach is not the rational reasoning, I continue to assume the increasing importance of unit linked life insurance.

The Influence of Sensomotoric Stimulation on the Shape of Foot by Football Players of the Early School Age
Sedláková, Věra ; Vařeková, Jitka (advisor) ; Flemrová, Miroslava (referee)
The aim of this work is to find what influence sensomotoric exercise has on the shape of feet. The research was carried out within a group of children from the football dass. I compared changes in the size of feet contact surface, for which I used the instrument Footscan. This was my main checking method. Tlte research and methods 14 boys in the age of 7-9 took part in the experiment. This group got through four month lasting moving program focused on improvement of the feet function. The entrance and final testing included kinesiology analysis, clinic and instrument examining and feet contact surface scanning. The medial measuring system Footscan was used for taking measurements and results data, which provided the necessary level of objectivity for the evaluation of the effect of exercises. I used the instrument Footscan® by RSscan International from Belgium and the scanning desk, size 400x500 mm interface Footscan® 2D box-a software Footscan® Single Step. Hypotheses of the work 1. We suppose that the percentage of postural disorders will be lower within the active sporting children than within the rest of population. 2. We suppose that there also appear postural pathology in the area of pelvis and in the upper parts of trunk by those children who are flat-footed. 3. We suppose that four month...

Conservatism and liberalism - an outdated concept?
Pour, Marek ; Vranka, Marek (advisor) ; Lukavský, Jiří (referee)
Conservatism and liberalism in american psychological reasearch is mostly described as unidimensional scale which clearly divides ideology into two opposite ideological standpoints. However, current relevant studies show that unidimensional approach to study ideology is overly simplified. Linking ideological orientation and personal traits seem to bring about contradicting results. In a similar way, relevant psychological instruments for measuring conservatism seem to measure two relatively independent aspects of conservatism. It is apparent mostly from large population studies, that ideological orientation is more complex than it may appear. Specific agendas stemming from their respective ideological directions are for a large part of population relatively uncorrelated with their overall ideological self- identification. Multidimensional models of conservatism and liberalism using at least social and economic agenda therefore seem as a more useful way to describe political orientation for most of the population. Empirical part of the study proposes a partial replication of two relevant studies to test a thesis of similar multidimensionality of the left-right ideological orientation scale in czech population. This could at the same time provide a relevant american-czech comparison.

Legal regulation of international trade in endangered species
Babeľová, Linda ; Stejskal, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Drobník, Jaroslav (referee)
Legal regulation of international trade in endangered species Resumé Over-exploitation due to international trade is the third most serious cause of extinction to species in the world. As the human population has grown, so has the demand for wildlife. Because of this pressure the loss of biodiversity has become a global problem now. Interest in solving the unsustainable wildlife trade has been increasing since the 60's of the 20th century. International organizations have realized the essentialness of international cooperation for the protection of certain species of wild fauna and flora in this time. The result was the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, known as CITES. CITES was conceived in the spirit of cooperation between member states and all parties must take appropriate measures to enforce the Convention. The purpose of my thesis is to give an overview of legal regulations at national, European and international level and make comparisons to show the differences between them. The thesis is divided into five coherent chapters. The first one is a brief introduction into the problem of wildlife trade and it gives a general description of the legislation. Chapter two is devoted to international instruments, mainly CITES. The Convention has established how to...
