Implementation of product Alfresco in a small firm
Čech, Štěpán ; Kunstová, Renáta (advisor) ; Benáčanová, Helena (referee)
The thesis is concerned with the implementation of a document management system (DMS) in a small firm where I've been working for almost 4 years as an information technician. The aim of the thesis is to implement the particular DMS product that is in this case an open system Alfresco. The project of the implementation itself is preceded by the firm analysis phase that includes a process analysis, an analysis of relevant documents as well as an economic analysis. Through this analysis series of inadequacies in work activities of individual employees were recognized and these are aimed to be minimized or eliminated with the help of the Alfresco system implementation. Within the scope of project stages description concerning the implementation of the Alfresco the thesis is focused especially on the analysis phases and solution design, the implementation, the customization and finally the operation. Throughout the above mentioned stages a new structure of some processes is suggested, including a change of the firm organization structure, furthermore basic functions of Alfresco system are described and a fundamental rules framework is defined to know how to use the Alfresco system in concrete cases. The end of the thesis contains an evaluation whether to apply the Alfresco system in a small firm or not and further a three-month's testing period and its influence on the firm is being discussed.

Comparison of the institute of subsistence minimum in Czech and Slovak Republic from 1993 to 2015
Feurich, Marek ; Kubelková, Karina (advisor) ; Bartůsková, Lucia (referee)
After the split of the Czechoslovak Federal Republic (CSFR) to the Czech and Slovak Republics in 1993, both countries retain most ČSFR laws, including law no. 463/1991 Sb., o životním minimu. So the starting position was the same for both countries. A number of modifications of the legislative environment, which happened over the years in both countries, provides a suitable space for the realization of comparative analysis. The aim of this thesis is to compare the institute of subsistence minimum (SM) in the Czech and Slovak Republic between 1993-2015, and prove the assumptions that the institute of SM always held in both countries the same function, was highly motivational to reintegrate the unemployed into the workforce, and the greater amount of SM has always meant a higher income for people in material need in particular country. But the conducted comparative analysis does not confirm the assumptions.

Thomas Mann's Myth Concept and Ivan Olbracht's sub-Carpathian Proses
Zitová, Olga ; Holý, Jiří (advisor) ; Zbytovský, Štěpán (referee)
This thesis deals with a myth concept in Thomas Mann's and Ivan Olbracht's work. In regard to the tertium comparationis, which is myth, Mann's novels Joseph and His Brothers (Joseph und seine Brüder) and Doctor Faustus (Doktor Faustus) as well as Olbracht's novels The Bitter and the Sweet (Nikola Šuhaj loupežník) and Valley of Exile (Golet v údolí) are analysed. The concepts of these two authors are being compared both on a genetic level, which includes a possible influence of the tetralogy Joseph and His Brothers on Olbracht's work, and on a typological level. The second one includes analogies, which are independent of the possible direct influence. The thesis is methodological based on interpretation of fictional texts and their continuous comparison considering a literary-historical context and cultural-historical background of that time. Especially in some details, it can be considered that Thomas Mann had a direct influence on Olbracht's work in case of both of the novels. A number of analogies have been found, which exemplify a resemblance between the authors but which don't deny that Olbracht was an autonomous and creative personality at the same time. The specific myth concept of both authors harmonise with a period tendency in the modern literature.

Klečka, Jakub ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Krob, Jan (referee)
Rapid development of new technologies and their easy implementation introduces new risks that must be faced. This diploma thesis concentrates at payment card industry. Payment card industry come through significant development. Billions of dollar each year flow through these systems. New technologies like contactless cards, prepaid brand cards are emerging, ATM and payment terminal support new services and products. Merchant are looking for new opportunities. This situation brings along new threats and introduces new vulnerabilities. These are not necessarily new, only the whole environment got much more complicated and digger. Unfortunately the acting threats and vulnerabilities were not eliminated. Missing legislation measures and restricted enforceability are not sufficient to effectively fight against crime in this area. On the other hand sever organizations are aware of these threats and tries to face them. New security requirements were introduced for each separate subjects of payment card industry so that the risks are eliminated or their impact is reduced to an acceptable degree. Some of these requirements were already implemented and are in the scope of this work. The goal of this work is to explore these requirements. To find out what risks they are affecting and how effective they are. And in case of need help to implement the appropriate security measure. This work is practically oriented and can help responsible persons to ensure compliance with the requirements and face all effecting threats.

Companies in private international law
Daňková, Zuzana ; Pauknerová, Monika (advisor) ; Kučera, Zdeněk (referee)
Private International Law - Companies Abstract: Comparative company law is about taking in the experience of others in a competitive way, and finding a joint solution to the cross-border issues appearing for and from companies that are confronted by global competition. All over the world company law is undergoing fundamental change, particularly in Europe. European countries have committed themselves to and begun extensive reform of their company legislation. In this paper I argue the reasons for such a movement. The harmonization of national company laws was long the main concern of the European Union. An increasing EU harmonization was taking place through the Company Law Directives, designed mostly to protect stakeholders such as minority shareholders, creditors and employees, and was motivated by the desire to establish a situation in which every competing business from different Member States has a fair and equal chance of succeeding and to prevent Member States from participating in a 'race to the bottom' as a means to attract investment. Therefore, mobility of companies was not a priority for the EC at that time. However, this became different with the adoption of the European Company Statute. This regulation is the first European law which enables a cross-border merger as well as the transfer of the...

Spectrophotometry of natural drugs - secondary metabolites of plants
Hořavová, Lenka ; Masařík, Michal (referee) ; Provazník, Ivo (advisor)
Plants are an important source of secondary metabolites, such as substances that have a beneficial biological effect on the health of humans and they are irreplaceable in the modern medicine. They may operate in prevention and in the treatment of civilization diseases. In terms of content substances, the phenolic come to fore, especially polyphenols, which have been related to a number of overview studies due to their wide distribution and high concentration in plants. They also represent an important part of substances with redox effects present in the human diet and have an important role for the plant itself. Currently, many laboratories are dedicated to pharmaceutical and biological testing of plants. Individual polyphenols in plant matrices are determined primarily by chromatography, electrophoresis methods, mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance. Valuable information on the content of polyphenols in plant extract can be obtained also by using spectrophotometric methods. The subject of this thesis is to provide information, characterization and comparison of conventional and modern techniques for the determination of natural substances – phenolic compounds using spectral techniques.
