Rosiková, T.: Biological activity of plant metabolites XV. Alkaloids of Papaver somniferum L. and their activity to acetylcholinesterase. Diploma thesis, Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Department of Pharmaceutical Botany and Ecology, Hradec Králové 2010, 58 pages. Within the screening of plants containing alkaloids potentially inhibiting human erythrocytic AChE and human butyrylcholinesterase was studied poppy (Papaver somniferum L). It was used 30 kg of poppy straw, basic extract was prepared by extraction of 95% alcohol. From this primary extract were prepared extracts with individual types of alkaloids by sequent procedue. In this diploma thesis only one extract was processed (extract type A-ether, pH 9 - 10). Alkaloids from this extract were separated into bases, where its chlorides are soluble and insoluble in chloroform. From each of above mentioned fractions phenolic and non-phenolic alkaloids has been obtained. In this work were separated alkaloids from extact AC1 (chlorides soluble in chloroform, non-phenolic. From this mixture was isolated narcotine by the using of column chromatogramy on alumina and preparative TLC on silica. This compound has been preliminary identified according to data of MS, melting point, optical rotary and by comparison with standard...

MUDr. JEHLIČKA SUMMARY This study has focused on a new method for the assessment of endothelial dysfunction (ED) using the Deceleration Index (DI). A total of 242 ultrasonographic examinations were performed in 92 children (FH 32, DM1 30, healthy controls 3O). The average DI values were 21.8%(±9.4)in healthy children, 19.9%(±9)in FH and 17.6%(±14)in the DM1 group. There were statistically insignificant differences between the study groups. This was most probably due to the high biological variability of the method employed. The coefficient of variation of DI was 1.02 (0.68 -1.53). Therefore, the clinical usefulness of DI is limited with regards to the individual assessment of ED and thus for the prediction of cardiovascular risk. The association of ADMA and oxLDL with ED and their superior sensitivity compared to DI and FMD has been confirmed in our study. Folic acid supplementation did not lead to a statistically signifiant improvement of DI and FMD. Similarly, plasma levels of ADMA and oxLDL remained unchanged despite a decrease of homocysteine and hsCRP in these children. This finding demonstrates a complicated relationship between ADMA, homocysteine and folic acid. The protective effect of folic acid on ED in high risk children was not confirmed in this study.

The image of ancient Egypt in historic novels of Nagīb Maḥfūẓ
Klementová, Emíra ; Ondráš, František (advisor) ; Oliverius, Jaroslav (referee)
Téma starověkého Egypta inspirovalo celou řadu tvůrců v mnoha oblastech umělecké činnosti - výtvarných umělců, hudebních skladatelů a spisovatelů. Během studia arabské kultury a literatury mě zaujala problematika prolínání a soužití různých kultur a civilizačních proudů na území arabského světa.
Bc. Pavla Svobodová: Financial resources of social enterprises - vision and reality (2012) Abstract The theme of my thesis is looking into problems with social enterprise financing. Well set up concept of social enterprise financing is equally maintained with it's importance in foreign countries as well as the Czech republic. Based on research, my aim was to find the ideal concept of social enterprise financing and to test it on a chosen sample of Czech social enterprises. In the section "Social enterprise in the third sector and its funding" I explain the overview of financial definitions of foreign social enterprise and their focus on the funding. In here I am also deciding on my own perception of this issue - well mainly the ideal funding resources for social enterprise. This section also covers a "lighter" version of the ideal concept of social enterprise financing from a Czech point of view and explains various studies focusing on social enterprise financing currently available. The empirical section focuses on analysis of financing of chosen social enterprises and verifies the ideal concept in the Czech republic. The escalation of my thesis is a devised proposal which could seriously support the financial stability for Czech social enterprise.

Regional Family Policy in the Czech Republic
Vlčková, Kamila ; Čabanová, Bohumila (advisor) ; Skála, Vít (referee)
The Bachelor thesis "Local family policy in the Czech Republic" puts mind to the implementation of local family policy in practice and to its connection with community planning of social services. In the beginning of my thesis I attend to the definition of local family policy in the Czech Republic, of community planning of social services and their possible instruments. On the basis of my interviews and the study of various documents I realized that municipalities and regions don't exploit possibilities of support of families, that the law about municipalities and the law about regions give them, and that they implement support of families by project of community planning of social services. So in the next part of my thesis I put my mind to possible connection between this project and the implementation of local family policy. In the following part of my thesis I deal with two projects of local family policy and with the aid of outcomes of interviews I examine the satisfaction of families with practical realization of these projects. At the end of my thesis I identify main problems of the implementation of local family policy in the Czech Republic. These problems are especially a low institutional support of this policy and a low awareness of families and municipalities about possibilities of its...

The dilemmas of the work with a client with the emphasis on the problems of the social worker´s competency.
DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Zuzana
This work paies that, dilemmas of the work a client and problems of social workers. Through studies available resources and fulfilment qualitative research has been that social workers must most often decide under the pressure of circumstances and importance of the situation; must prioritize either the quality of services or the number of clients; must be able to select the correct variant in the event of intervention or non-intervention in a client{\crq}s situation; know how much help they can give so that they do not control the client; and be able to manage moral conflicts. Social workers most often rely on their knowledge and experience, professional judgment and conscientiousness. . It is also important that a social worker can confide in a senior worker and have an opportunity to discuss with them all required matters. Gained experience provides workers with a dispassionate point of view for decision-making.
