Influence of OPEC on International Relations
Suremka, Jiří ; Kučerová, Irah (advisor) ; Romancov, Michael (referee)
Influence of OPEC on International Relations OPEC plays significant role in international relations. This work tries to show areas and regions where the impact is biggest. We shortly discuss history of the Organization and its structure and operational background. This is extremely important for understanding further behavior. Next chapter is discussing influence of oil shocks in early 1 0 's on Western market economies. We are explaining energy strategies of oil importing countries which led to decrease of oil prices in 80's . Chapter about influence on Latin America after oil shocks shows how inflow of petrodollars can result in very negative ends when the money is not coming anymore. We also stress structural problems of Latin American economies and we bold Venezuela as one of the biggest oil exporter. Current situation shows Russia, Venezuela and Arab OPEC members today. We continue with 2 environmentalist approaches: oil will be fully harvested and oil will not be fully harvested.

International impact of unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo
Janicki, Miloš ; Matějka, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Kochan, Jan (referee)
My goal was to attempt to analyze impact of Kosovo crisis on international relations. Kosovo issue and its solutions have shaped two important principles of international relations in the last decade, which by repeating tend to become precedents. The first principle is humanitarian intervention without the mandate of UN, which was first applied in Yugoslavia in 1999. Similar action was applied in several different states during the last decade. Second principle, which is the main subject of my thesis, is unilateral declaration of independence which was recognized by more sovereign states then in previous occasions. By analysis of events in Georgia I tried to prove that separatism could become an instrument of international relations in future. Authority of UN is shaken in last decade and it could lead to reshaping of world order. Single-sided interpretation of morality and principles can replace international law. Apart from analyzing global impact of Kosovo crises I have tried to explore the problem in detail by researching the causes that let to conflict. Most of the attention I have devoted to period between 1974 and 1999, which I find crucial in the forming a situation that led to unilateral declaration in 2008. In the first part of my work I tended to explore international law arguments that were used by both followers and opponents of independence and tried to preview aspects of teory of secession

Comparison of basic characteristics (income, risks, degrees of effectiveness) in selected sectors and industries Stock Exchange
SAIKO, Michaela
The aim of this diploma work was to analyze a selected segment of the stock exchange market using the theory of market efficiency and the methods of technical and fundamental analysis, to form an optimal investment strategy on the basis of the findings. The American stock exchange market was analyzed. Six different segments of the capital market were selected ? gold, oil and gas pipelines, steel and iron, car parts, food and telecommunication services. Each segment was represented by eight companies. The general characteristics of the companies were compared according to their profits, degree of risk, alpha and beta coefficients. Fundamental analysis was used to monitor the correlation between future profits for 2012 and alpha coefficients for the period 2007 ? 2011. The theory was proven ? at low levels of future profits, high levels of alpha coefficients were measured and vice versa - at high levels of future profits, low levels of alpha coefficients were measured. During efficiency tests, runs tests and correlation tests were monitored. During runs tests, the number of turns of a real file was compared with the number of runs of a simulated file; no distinctive variances were identified in the monitored stock titles. Forms of market efficiency were proven during the correlation tests and runs tests. The methods of technical analysis used were sliding averages, RSI indicators and Momentum. Trading on the basis of technical analysis is not completely possible because we did not succeed in finding an existing optimal strategy. If an optimal strategy works out it is regardless of the segment?s characteristics. I recommend a passive strategy with regards to the fundamental analysis.

The Factors that Influence the Relationship between Money Supply and Inflation
Holoubek, Lukáš ; Jílek, Josef (advisor) ; Štekláč, Jiří (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the factors that influence the relationship between money supply and inflation and to determine how these factors show over time. The work is based on the current knowledge of the quantity theory of money based on the synthesis of monetarist and new keynesianism approach. The main starting point of this thesis is the fact that there is a widening of the gap between money supply growth and inflation. In the thesis were observed the factors that influence the money supply, velocity of money and inflation. These factors are for exapmle political decisions, greater concentration of wealth in society, uncertainty in financial markets and the possible impact of the shadow economy and the increasing importance of sharing economy. The result of this thesis was the finding that in case of no significant change in the current system, the widening of the gap between the money supply growth and inflation will continue.

Combinatorial Games Theory

Title: Combinatorial Games Theory Author: Tomáš Valla Department / Institute: IUUK MFF UK Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Jaroslav Nešetřil, DrSc., IUUK MFF UK Abstract: In this thesis we study the complexity that appears when we consider the competitive version of a certain environment or process, using mainly the tools of al- gorithmic game theory, complexity theory, and others. For example, in the Internet environment, one cannot apply any classical graph algorithm on the graph of connected computers, because it usually requires existence of a central authority, that manipu- lates with the graph. We describe a local and distributed game, that in a competitive environment without a central authority simulates the computation of the weighted vertex cover, together with generalisation to hitting set and submodular weight func- tion. We prove that this game always has a Nash equilibrium and each equilibrium yields the same approximation of optimal cover, that is achieved by the best known ap- proximation algorithms. More precisely, the Price of Anarchy of our game is the same as the best known approximation ratio for this problem. All previous results in this field do not have the Price of Anarchy bounded by a constant. Moreover, we include the results in two more fields, related to the complexity of competitive...

Lelkova hypotéza
Bartošová, Dana ; Simon, Petr (advisor) ; Balcar, Bohuslav (referee)
Lelek's conjecture which states that metric continua with span zero are chainable has been one of the most widely investigated problems in continuum theory over the past 40 years. We broaden our field of interest to non-metric continua and prove that if there is a non-metric counterexample to Lelek's conjecture we can convert it to a metric one. For a continuum X we take the lattice of all of its closed subsets 2X and consider a countable elementary sublattice L of 2X that we represent by a metric continuum wL via the Wallman representation for distributive lattices. By means of set theory, we obtain an L such that X is not chainable if and only if wL is not chainable and X has span zero if and only if wL has span zero. In the proof of the latter we use Shelah's theorem stating that every two elementarily equivalent models have isomorphic ultrapowers.

Effective recruitment selection and adaptation of sales representatives
Kahounová, Lucie ; Froněk, Jan (referee) ; Kocianová, Renata (advisor)
This bachelor thesis has been focused on sales representatives recruitment selection and their following adaptation. There are clear determined and linked activities which precede recruitment and adaptation process. Without these activities it is not possible to carry out complex recruitment process. Attention is paid to a job analysis process, which is followed by a job description forming. The chapter, which is aimed to the theory of competencies and competency model, is an important part of this thesis. If recruitment selection is well realized and the selected candidate accepts job offer and joins the position, adaptation process of a new employee will follow. Adaptation is an important period when manager of the new employee plays very significant role. Adaptation of the new employee, which is implemented in a high quality, can start his professional development and futher career growth. Special care is paid to sales representatives recruitment selection and adaptation process in Coca-Cola HBC. Sales representatives enter into very close relationship with customers and their success affects companie's performance on the market. Competencies and competency model penetrate the whole personnel policy of the company. There are the sales representative job description and the specific competency model. The...

Význam institucionálního prostředí pro zemědělskou výrobu
Minárik, Pavol ; Šíma, Josef (advisor) ; Chalupníček, Pavel (referee)
The paper examines significance of institutional environment for agricultural production. It adds to the extensive research of agricultural production functions. First, it reviews relevant theory of institutional economics that explains how institutions contribute to productivity in general, especially if interpreted as economic freedom. Then, a model of agricultural production is presented, which explains aggregate agricultural production using various inputs, as well as variables representing institutional environment. Results concerning elasticities of material inputs (land, labor, capital) are consistent with previous research. The paper proves some significance of institutional variables. Finally, it suggests some directions for further research.

Augustine?s Theory of the City in the Context of His Philosophy
Mácha, Petr ; Stracený, Josef (referee) ; Blažková, Miloslava (advisor)
Soudobá historická krize vedla Augustina k tomu, aby zkoumal formu a smysl historie.
