Citizenship of the EU and Benefits of Financial Character Arising Therefrom

The bachelor thesis deals with the problems of citizenship of the European Union and it focuses on its economical aspects. The first part summarises development of concept of the Union citizenship up to now and offers a brief description of particular rights that are covered in the concept of citizenship of the EU. The second part of the thesis concentrates on current issue of economical results arising from the Union citizenship for the citizens as well as for the member states and their social security systems. Chapter focusing on economical dimension of the citizenship rights is divided into two parts - the first one deals with the citizenship and financial benefits arising therefrom with a view to economically active persons in the EU, the second one with a view to persons who are economically inactive. A valuable and essential source primarily to the second part of the thesis is practice of the Court of Justice of the European Union, which forms and extends the Union citizenship. The bachelor thesis concludes that deepening European integration changed considerably the traditional approach in access to financial benefits arising mainly from the social security systems of member states.

The impact of Directive 2004/38 upon the free movement of nationals of the European Union with regard to relevant case-law of the European Court of Justice This diploma thesis deals with impact of Directive 2004/38/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 on the right of citizens of the Union and their family members to move and reside freely within the territory of the Member States on the freedom of movement. The first chapter of thesis aims to cover main points of development of the right to free movement. From the right of workers as an economic factor to the general right of every citizen of Europe. As far as the introducing of the European Union Citizenship was very important point for the development of right to free movement, this chapter also concerns evaluation of this phenomenon. Further this chapter contains analysis of the most important cases rendered by the Court of Justice of the European Union which affected the right of free movement mainly since European Union Citizenship has been established. The second chapter is the core of this thesis. It comprises analysis of the text of Directive 2004/38. Comparation of Personal Income Tax in Czech Republic and Finland

This diploma thesis is focused on taxation of personal income of dependent activity in the Czech republic and Finland. First, the basic context of primary freedoms in European union are defined. Then the relevant legislation concerning taxation of chosen income category in the Czech republic and Finland are described. Using these informations we calculate and compare the tax burden of several model taxpayers in these two countries.

Employment of Czech citizens in Austria

Abolition of restrictions of labor market in 2011 contributed to a significant release of labor relations between the Czech Republic and Austria. Aim of this work is to compare the advantages of employment for Czech citizens on both labor markets, especially in terms of solving social situations. In terms of social security the theoretical part of this work shows that employment in Austria is for Czech people more profitable than in the Czech Republic. This hypothesis is confirmed by analysis of model situations of Czech employees in both labor markets. In conclusion, part of this work is aimed on own research through semi-structured interviews with ten individuals. The main objective is to find reasons for leaving Czech labor market for a job in. Own investigation as well as the analytical part of the Czechs proved advantageous employment in Austria before the domestic labor market.

Práce se zaměřuje na analýzu možnosti práce a studia v zemích Evropské unie z pohledu občana České republiky. Poskytuje obecný návod pro všechny uchazeče o zaměstnání v jiných členských zemích Unie s důrazem na popis všech nezbytných kroků a úkonů, kterým musí občané věnovat dostatečnou pozornost a snahu upozornit na možná rizika a nebezpečí. Získané poznatky jsou představeny na příkladu dvou zvolených zemí ? Rakouska a Portugalska.

Zaměstnávání českých občanů v Evropské unii

Tato práce se věnuje zahraniční pracovní migraci občanů ČR. Ukazuje hlavní důvody pracovní migrace, mezi které patří vyšší životní úroveň či mzdové ohodnocení. Dále se práce zabývá migračním potenciálem českých občanů. Pozitivní sklon k pracovní migraci je u Čechů podle posledních šetření nízký a ve spojení ze zlepšující se výkonností české ekonomiky klesají důvody k pracovní migraci. Práce se také zaměřuje na teritoriální strukturu pracovní migrace. Češi pracují nejčastěji v Německu, Rakousku a Velké Británii. Jedním z problémů migrace za prací je ?odliv mozků? tzn. odchod vysoce kvalifikovaných odborníků do zahraničí, je důležité do jaké míry to ovlivní kvalifikační potenciál české pracovní síly.
