Author in cyberspace: comparison of the current position of the author and authorship anonymity with theories of Michel Foucault and Roland Barthes
Bobák, Alexander ; Marcelli, Miroslav (advisor) ; Češka, Jakub (referee)
This thesis analyzes the position of the author in the environment of internet. The main source of information for this thesis is the study of Roland Barthes - Death of the Author and the lecture of Michel Foucault - What is an author? After a thorough analysis of these two works, the thesis focuses on the description of the webpage www.pismak.cz, which has been selected as a suitable representative for environment of internet. This website allows us to study and explore the role and place of the author. I tried to describe the position of the author on this website. Mainly the fact, that every user of this website uses a pseudonym - nick. The work also presents new insights into the phenomenon of internet anonymity, based on the information gathered from current scientific articles. At the end I compare my own analysis with theories of Roland Barthes and Michel Foucault. The thesis concludes, that works of Roland Barthes and Michel Foucault are still valid, even when compared with modern phenomenon - internet.

Social Networking Sites as a Part of the Young Generation's Life.
PĚKNICOVÁ, Barbora
The presented thesis deals with social networking sites and the way teenagers use them in everyday life. The main goal of the thesis is to identify the strong and the weak points of communication via social networking sites from the perspective of their users. The first aim is to chart the factors influencing the usage of social networking sites. The second aim is to ascertain how users of social networking sites perceive the need for protecting their privacy. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the term social networking site, describes functions and types of social networking sites. Furthermore, communication via social networking sites is described together with its positives and negatives. The subsequent part deals with the dangers connected with using these sites as well as preventive programmes existing in our country. The possibilities of data and privacy protection are also described. Since the thesis is focused on teenagers, the developmental stage of adolescence is described as well. The practical part describes the research itself goals and hypotheses, methodology and results. Quantitative research and questionnaire survey were used for gathering the data. The control sample was composed of secondary school students, specifically from the Secondary Medical School and the Technical Secondary School of Engineering in Tábor. The results of the research have shown that 98.5 % of respondents use social networking sites. The average age of the respondents was 18 years. Most frequently, they use these sites to stay in contact with their friends and to acquire information. The strong points of the communication for them are being able to communicate quickly, almost free of charge and the opportunity to communicate with remotely placed friends. Contrarily, they regard bullying, cyber-bullying and easy abuse as its weak points. The majority consider anonymity on social networking sites positive, which has confirmed the hypothesis. In most cases, the users endeavour to protect their privacy. The results may serve as a study material or as a basis for prevention of dangers connected with using social networking sites.
Does the child born from donated gametes right to know its biological parents?
TOŠNEROVÁ, Jana
This thesis deals with the issue of assisted reproduction, ethical aspects of infertility treatment and in particular looking for the answer to the question of whether they have children from donated gametes natural right to know their biological parents, the gamete donors. The diploma thesis is devoted to the topic of infertility and description of some of the methods of assisted reproduction. Emphasis is on the status of child from gamete donation, especially with regard to its natural right to know the donor. Children only have the right to know the donor of the gametes from which it originated in countries, where the donation is not anonymous.. For these countries, the Czech republic does not belong. Seeking an answer to the question whether it is these children's natural right to know the identity of the donor, is started from how the natiral law is understood in general and also from a bio-psycho-social needs that children have. The work also includes a description of an exploratory survey realized in one of the reproductive clinics. Adjusting the television picture and sound in newscast to make it more difficult to identify people (newscast of Česká televize, TV Nova and FTV Prima)
Sváček, Martin ; Lokšík, Martin (advisor) ; Štoll, Martin (referee)
The Diploma Thesis deals - within its theoretical part - with situations in TV news, which require conversion of audiovisual content to achieve involved person's anonymity. Ethics codes of analysed television stations are major factor in this part, also included as secondary support relavant studies, reference books, laws and edicts. Conversion of audiovisual content is necessary - speaking of victims of crime (mainly violent or sexual offense) and theirs relatives, children, suspects and theirs relatives, anonymous sources, some criminalists or other vulnerable persons. Practical part of the thesis applies gained informations to analyse audio-visual recordings - broadcasted by Czech TV (Česká televize), TV Nova and FTV Prima. Study reflected diffrences between conversion of same situations and same persons. Study also reflected some ethically controversial moments. Several reporters gived an interview to comment selected news.
Authentication Protocols and Privacy Protection
