KOVÁŘOVÁ, Tereza
Abstract Optimal daily gain in rearing and fattening of meat cattle, should be the basics of meat production. The breeder ensured the satisfactory enviromental conditions and good nutrition (wellfare), which significantly afect animals development. Gender, age, slaughter weight, nutrition, method of fattening and housing system, belongs to the main factors affecting meat production. The aim of the study was to compare average weights and calculate average daily gain of heifers and bullocks of evaluated beef breeds. Conditions of breed of all herds of meat cattle were same and all herds were housed freely. Breeds evaluated in experiment were Hereford, Simmental, Charolais and Limousin. Each herd was divided by beef breeds and gender and every herd was made up 20 - 30 pieces. Birth weight of calf was estimated according to breeds standards and employee experience. Furthermore was weighing at 5,6 and 7 months for all monitored pieces. Weighing at 12th and 14th months of age was just at the bulls. All weighings was taken by digital weighing-machine. Average gains and weights were calculated from obtained data. The highest weight from the both genders and the highest gains at bulls had attained Charolais. Limousin had best results at heifers. Except for small differences between breeds and genders were the gains same at the all monitored pieces. There was no statistically significant evidence of difference between influences of breeds and age according to statistically processed data of size of average daily gain of weight (P = 0,645862).

Utilization of predatory mite Typhlodromus pyri Scheuten within IPM and organic hop growing
Nesvadba, David ; Pulkrábek, Josef (advisor) ; Kamil, Kamil (referee)
The objective of my work was to evaluate the efficiency of a native species of predatory mite Typhlodromus pyri Scheuten against two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch) within IPM and organic hop growing and to find out if hop protection against T. urticae with the help of T. pyri can replace conventional hop protection based on miticides and if it can be profitable. The trials were carried out since 2011 till 2015 in three hop gardens at a research farm Stekník, which belongs to Hop Research Institute in Žatec (Saaz). The first experimental hop garden, where IPM is practiced, is called Černice I. The other one BIO is, as the name says, under organic regime. The third one called Kaplička (Little Chapel) I., served as a reference one because hop is grown there under a common conventional system with the use of miticides to control T. urticae. In regular intervals since the time when the first spider mites were observed at hop leaves till the harvest fifty leaves were sampled (17 from lower, 17 from middle and 16 from upper parts of hop plants) in the hop garden with IPM regime and in the organic hop garden. Population densities of eggs, mobile stages of T. urticae and T. pyri were assessed together with nymphs of predatory Thrips of the genus Aeolothrips, which occurred there naturally as the dominant native acarophagous predators. The results were statistically evaluated with the help of correlation analyses and t-test for independent groups. Efficiency of T. pyri and economical comparison with chemical protection were made as well. It is possible to conclude that after release of predatory mites and under using of selective pesticides the biodiversity is higher. Hop protection against two-spotted spider mite with the help of T. pyri can be profitable and it can replace chemical protection against this dangerous pest for many years. T. pyri is commonly more efficient if population density of T. urticae is lower. The tightest dependence at the level of 90% was statistically confirmed between occurrence of T. urticae eggs and its mobile stages. Statistically important difference was found out between the two different types of hop growing in the most of the cases.

Diblíková, Hana ; Housarová, Blanka (advisor) ; Růžičková, Hana (referee)
Although communication disorders belong among basic manifestations of dementia syndrom, professional speech care for people with these kinds of disorders in the Czech Republic is still just a theory. The topic of the present thesis is manifestations of people suffering from dementia in communication process - in different phases of Alzheimer's disease. A theoretical part is based on scientific publications and focuses not only on dementia and related impaired communication skills, but also on speech intervention for people with dementia (both diagnostics and therapy). The results of the reserch into the current level of communication skills of people in different phases of Alzheimer's disease, gained mainly from the analysis of video recordings of their interviews with care assistants, are presented in practical part within the framework of the problems mentioned above. The main goal of the thesis are an evaluation of the data according to individual areas of communication and drawing conclusions for better utilization of sustentative communication potential of people suffering from dementia. Keywords: dementia, impaired communication skills, communication competences, speech intervention

TITLE: Diagnosis of communication disability for people with Parkinson s disease AUTHOR: Hana R i ková Mgr. DEPARTMENT: Special education department SUPERVISOR: Ji ina Klenková, Doc. PaedDr., PhD. ABSTRACT: The doctoral thesis deals with diagnosing communication disability for people with Parkinson s disease (PD). PD is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder associated with high occurrence of hypokinetic dysarthria (HD). The theoretical part of the thesis characterizes Parkinson s disease, weak and strong points of logopaedic diagnostics and describes HD. The empirical part of the thesis is based on quantitative research. The aims of our study were to modify test Dysarthric profile 3F to be more sensitive to mild stage of HD, to detect HD symptoms in early untreated PD patiens, to notice HD progression in retest, to objectify results of clinical evaluation by acoustic measurments and to detect subjective perception of patient s own speech. We studied people with PD and neurologically healthy control speakers. We evaluated HD in 50% PD subjects in early untreated stage of PD and in 74% PD speakers in retest. We observe that between the most sensitive diagnostical tasks in clinical evaluation with high correlation with acoustic analysis belong evaluation of hoarse voice in sustained phonation of vowels and...

Immunomodulation using two types of ligands
Adámek, David ; Pompach, Petr (referee) ; Bezouška, Karel (advisor)
CD69 and NKR-P1 are receptors belonging to C-lectin family of receptors. We have recently identified two types of effective ligands for these receptors: dimeric N-acetyl-D-glukosamines (activators) and (calix[4]arenes) inhibitors. By using them, we can modulate immune response. First class of ligands (N-acetyl-D-glukosamines) is able to bind to CD69 and NKR-P1 and activate the cells. Second class of ligands (calix[4]arenes) is able to effectively inhibit functions of CD69, but not functions of NKR-P1. The aim of this study was to learn how to modulate immune response by various combinations of these compounds, and to explore their concentrations suitable for tumor therapies. Effect of used ligand and their combinations was studied in standard tests of cell proliferation, cell death and cytotoxic killing.
