Neolithic and aeneolithic settlement in Hořovice basin with focus on stone intrustry
Stolz, Daniel ; Popelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Pavlů, Ivan (referee) ; Zápotocká, Marie (referee)
The study of a Neolithic and Aeneolithic settlement in individual areas forms a substantial part of a complex study of a wide range of related issues regarding the overall settlement location and its history, its density, its relation to natural environment, and its relation to previous and later periods. It can also provide insights into stone industry distribution and the process of communication and contacts between neighbouring and distant regions, mining areas, the size of cultivated areas, etc. Unfortunately, until the 1980s, the study ofNeolithic and Aeneolithic settlements was a rather neglected field in the context of Czech archaeology and even since then iťs stili very rarely used for a complex study of multiple issues. The aim of my thesis is to fulfill this "gap" by suggesting possible solution to the above mentioned problems. The selected settlement area is Hořovice basin. The sources gained from intensive archaeological field work carried out in the 1980s and from a detailed field prospection ofthe whole area belong among the richest collections of data collected for a specific region in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on the largest salvage excavation in Hořovice area carried out in Žebrák in 2000. 47 features dated into the II and III grade of...

ABILITY TO OBTAIN GRANT TITLES IN SELECTED RURAL MUNICIPALITIES
Kolářová, Kateřina ; Hupková, Martina (referee) ; Perlín, Radim (advisor)
Ability to obtain grant titles in selected rural municipalities Abstract An important theme of the Member States of the European Union is rural development. For the Czech Republic, this topic became current after accession to the EU in 2004. In previous years, the Czech Republic had the opportunity to benefit from pre-accession programs (e.g. PHARE, SAPARD) in the period 2004-2006 to use all the tools for the development of European countryside. The uniqueness of the programming period 2007-2013 is the ability to draw funds in the entire length of the programming period, and a wide range of support. The bachelor thesis deals with the cause of the success of profit grant titles of the Rural Development Programme, Operational Programme for Environment and Regional Operation Programme NUTS II Southwest. Its aim is to analyze the influence of the causes for profit grant titles of selected programs and determine whether appearance, geographic location, and civic and technical facilities of the municipalities affects the volume of money obtained from grant titles. Attention is focused on the municipalities district Klatovy in size of 500-999 people. Keywords: rural development, rural municipalities, grant titles, appearance, civic and technical facilities, geographic location

Study of Enantioseparation of Selected Substituted Binaphthyls
Loukotková, Lucie ; Bosáková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Feltl, Ladislav (referee) ; Flieger, Miroslav (referee)
8 1 INTRODUCTION Over the last two decades, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) has become one of the most common techniques in chiral separations. HPLC has also been successfully employed for determination of the optical purity of newly synthesized organic compounds. Asymmetric synthesis is a direct way of synthesis of enantiomers that uses suitable optically pure ligands acting as catalysts. The chiral ligands in asymmetric reactions must have stable configurations (they must be resistant towards racemization) and a high optical purity is required. Binaphthyl derivatives have been extensively used to control many asymmetric processes and have demonstrated outstanding chiral discrimination properties, due to their unique properties derived from their rigidity and spatial arrangement. Most of 1,1'- binaphthyl molecules are C2 symmetric with two identical naphthyl units often substituted in the 2,2'-positions. Chirality of these compounds is caused by restricted rotation of atoms or groups of atoms around the single bond on the binaphthyl skeleton (axial chirality, atropisomerism). Increased hindrance to rotation at the pivotal 1,1'- bond makes these molecules potential candidates for enantioseparation [1]. The best representatives of the binaphthyl group are 2,2'-dihydroxy-1,1'-binaphthyl...

Inventories of inheritance of the early modem period nobility in the Principate of Opava and Krnov as a source of history of every-dayness (1650-1740)

Inventories of inheritance of the early modem period nobility in the Principate of Opava and Krnov as a source ofhistory of every-dayness The universa! analysis and comparison of nobility's inventories of inheritance is an object of the work. Concemed inventories were built in years 1650-1740, the bottom limit is given by the end of Thirty Y ears' War (late leave of Swedish garrisons from north Moravian and Salesian region) and the top limit corresponds with dividing of Salesian principalities after the lost War of the Austrian Succession. Time definition of the work deliberately ignores year 1620, which is much too stressed as an important marker by Czech historiography. From geographical point of view we cover the region of Czech Silesia, namely historie principalities of Opava and Krnov. The resources' base consists of agenda, which is located in Land archive in Opava, in the fund District executive of Opava-Krnov's principality in Opava 1507-1784. There are over 300 inventory numbers in the aforementioned fund, which contains inheritance and trusteeship cases from the 16th to 18th century. I am interested in 20 inventories of persons, whose houses acted in the area of Upper Silesia: Eichendorf, Vlčkové of Dobrá Zemice, Bokové of Burgvice, Bruntálští of Vrbno, Hodicové of Hodice, Brixové of Moncle and...

The thermal regime of ice pits of the Borec hill
Türkott, L. ; Martinčíková, Eva ; Potop, V.
The ecological stability of the sites with stenoec organisms is important factor for maintaining them at given location. Phonolite system of the Borec hill creates a unique labyrinth of vents. Thermal anomalies occur during the year in the fissure system and create specific microclimate. Flow direction is given by the temperature gradient inside and outside of the system. The lower part of fissure system is located in the debris fields, while the upper part on top of the hill. Phonolite rocks are cooled down by air streaming from the debris fields during the winter. Direction of the air flow changes in the spring and summer. The cold air is exhaled from these vents on the lower parts of system and creates ice pits with the typical vegetation.

Drug Prevention among Roma Youth
Hrabcová, Marta ; Sak, Petr (advisor) ; Janošová, Pavlína (referee)
This thesis deals with the drug prevention among Roma youth. It is based on the research among the clients of Children and Youth Centre Teen Challenge Int. I have been working there as a part time worker the last three years. Using the method of in-depth half- structured interviews, I interviewed twelve clients, ages in the range of ten to sixteen years. All of them were members of the Roma minority, which is a group significantly affected by social exclusion and wide range of socially pathological phenomena, including the use of addictive substances. Given this situation, Roma youth appears to be a group highly at-risk of drug addiction. This means that special attention should be paid to this group in selective prevention efforts. Beside this, non-specific prevention is also extremely important. In this paper I tried to show that, as many risk-factors are closely related to the very ethnic specificity of this minority. Its unique cultural features must be taken into account. Non-specific prevention should focus not only on the meaningful use of free time, but it should also seek to strengthen self-confidence, positive features of ethnic identity, ability of planning and postponing satisfaction. Some other important parts of non-specific prevention could consist of efforts to teach how to accept...

Social Aspects of the Mountain Teaching
Samiec, Tomáš ; Jandejsek, Petr (advisor) ; Milfait, René (referee)
The topic of this work is the Mountain teaching and its effects to contemporary social work. I analyze its particular thesis and their practical use. First chapter is about Blessings. I interpret their seemingly ambiguous meaning and I try to find, what they are about to say to us today. Next chapter is about some of following statements joined to interpersonal relationships. These thesis concure to previous blessings and execute previous chapter's thoughts. There is an evident theoretically-practical relationship between two of these chapters. The last chapter is about possibilities to execute these thoughts within contemporary conditions. But also I consider with question of church's place in the social area, because this question is interesting and not unique. But there is no doubt that church stanceis important due to helping others is an implementation of Mountain teaching's social aspects. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Education of bilingual children in preschool years
Jirsová, Klára ; Poláčková, Věra (referee) ; Kremličková, Marta (advisor)
"Education of bilingual children in preschool years" is an academic paper concerning the educational and psychological aspects in the optimal education of bilingual children and children attending nurseries in a foreign language. This kind of education originates from the mental and emotional needs of preschool children. The theoretical section concerns the psychological development of children with an emphasis on language and communication. There is the unique situation of the bilingual person in a social, cultural and political context, then there are concrete methods of bringing up a child in a bilingual family and their doubts about bilingualism. The paper desribes the eduational functions of Czech and foreign (specifically English) language nurseries and the methods of teaching preschool children. The teaching of a foreign language in nurseries is preparation for future learning of foreign languages and the challenge of exploring other cultures. The empirical section of the paper describes the results of a small inquiry, realised by observing children in one Czech and two English nurseries. It was found that in some "English nurseries" the learning of language was overemphasised to the prejudice of other psychological needs of some children. It concerned the children who had a different first language...

Claim for Truth and the Challenge of Religious Pluralism: State of Discussion in Present-day Christianity
Mrázek, Miloš ; Hošek, Pavel (advisor) ; Štampach, Ivan (referee) ; Vojtíšek, Zdeněk (referee)
The thesis dicusses different responses to the challenge of religious pluralism in Christianity. It focuses on the question of how the present-day Christians respond to this challenge, how they relate to the traditional claim of the unique truth of Divine revelation in Christian teaching, and how they understand the concept of truth itself in this context. The text thus maps different trends and movements in current Christianity and introduces problems concerning the definition of the concept of religious pluralism in religious studies and the issues of the current philosophical discussion on the nature of truth - both in general and in religious discourse in particular.
