Solution of a boundary problem with the aid of spline functions
Vu Pham, Quynh Lan ; Dolejší, Vít (advisor) ; Najzar, Karel (referee)
For the given Poisson's equation, we use the finite element method to find an approximate solution. According to the theory of the finite element method, we construct in a certain Sobolev space a finite dimensional subspace; unlike the classical approach, we generate the subspace using a basis of splines. The solution in the subspace approximates both the function and its derivative. This makes the approximation more accurate. 1

The concept of a bike trail and its impact on the environment
Hněvsa, Vojtěch ; Zímová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Lagner, Ondřej (referee)
This diploma thesis aims to design the cycle route from the village of Nová Ves I to the town of Kolín and to describe its impact on the environment. The researching part of the thesis deals with cycling itself, its history and development. It further decribes the existing infrastructure for cycle paths and clarifies how the cycle paths should be planned properly. It also focuses on constructing of them. The researching part of the thesis next deals with the impact of the cycle trails on the environment and describes it in details. The thesis provides a detailed characterization of the territory. The particular characteristics serve as the basis for designing the most appropriate routing of cycle paths. The analytical part of the thesis contains several analyses which aim to help us find the best solution for designing the cycle route. All the analyses serve as a valuable basis for further decision making and designing the most convenient cycle route between the village of Nová ves I and the town of Kolín. In the designing part of the thesis there are four variants of the cycle route between the village of Nová Ves I and the town of Kolín. Each of them is described in details and evaluated. Eventually the best strategy for the route is selected and it is clarifed and proved by doing own research and measuring with using the mobile applications.

Support for development of enterprise applications in Java
Krůček, Jiří ; Bulej, Lubomír (referee) ; Hnětynka, Petr (advisor)
The master thesis provides a comparative analysis of two broadly-used technologies for building Java-based enterprise applications, the Spring Framework 2.5 and Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) 3.0. Its main goal is to serve as a valuable source of information about their key features, thus helping developers with the decision which technology to use according to given requirements on the application to be developed. First, an overview of Spring and EJB's basic ideas and core design concepts is given. Further, a detailed examination of their capabilities is carried out in three main areas of comparison: the thesis focuses on how they (1) address management of application business objects, (2) analyses a basic set of provided middleware services, and also (3) concerns with more practical issues related to various application development efforts, such as architecture, testing, and configuration of applications being developed by using these technologies. Each area of comparison is divided into several tightly-focused sections thoroughly discussing Spring and EJB's capabilities relevant to a particular subject, their strengths and weaknesses. At the end, their key features are summarized, evaluated, and some recommendations are given.

Rozbor možností zpracování a využití dendromasy získané při arboristických činnostech
Matěna, Jiří
These Bachelor's Theses are oriented on processing and utilization of dendromass that is produced as a result of some arboristic activities. Totally 50 arboristic companies and arborists were evaluated. The single subjects are evaluated especially from the point of view of firewood and wood chips production. The main purpose was to check which activities result in production of dendromass and what are the possibilities of its final treatment and utilization. As for dendromass processing these theses are concentrated on daily production, type of necessary machinery, labour consumption and financial profitability. During the last years there have occurred new possibilities of dendromass processing and using small and large machinery.

Taylor rules and interest rate setting of the Czech National Bank
Hrachovec, Miloš ; Geršl, Adam (referee) ; Horváth, Roman (advisor)
This paper studies role of the so called Taylor rules in the complex procedure of interest rate setting. The Czech National Bank is described as the monetary authority in the Czech Republic, then optimal monetary policy and form of monetary policy rule is discussed, yielding conditions on the optimal rule. These conditions are then applied to the forward-looking reaction function of the Czech National Bank and the role of this reaction function within the Czech National Bank's monetary policy is addressed. Last section presents empirical estimates of a Taylor-like rule for the Czech National Bank and shows variability of possible utilization for the modified Taylor rule.

Experience of teenagers with sexting.
MILTNEROVÁ, Kristýna
This thesis is dedicated to the sexting, which has in recent years concentrated mainly among teenagers. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the Internet, since the communication path is widely used to send sexting photos. In chapter 1.1 Internet we can find some introductory words about what the internet is, how it works and especially the dangers to users of this media lurking, if you' re not careful about how you treat the information about yourselves. The second part focuses on the very phenomenon of sexting. This gives us the opportunity to learn basic information about it and realize that this isn´t just about sending sexual photos, and that this behavior often brings a negative experience that can individually affect the psyche of each person. The work is also focused on cyberbullying and cybersex, because of this issue is very close to sexting. The third chapter deals with sexting and child pornography. This section summarizes the most important facts about child pornography and I focus here to show that sexting may be in some ways a synonym of the distribution of child pornography. The aim of the work itself is to find out what teenagers know about sexting, if they know this term and what experience, if there are any, have they with sexting. This research utilized qualitative strategies, method of interviewing and technique of semi-structured interview. The sample consisted of nine children, who were from several cities in the Czech Republic and for their selection I chose the technique of not-empiric choice, snow-ball. The first part of the interview deals with the ownership of a cell phone and a personal account on social network. These data are important for research in this area, because the cell phone and the internet, resp. social networks are most widely used by modern means of communication that is used for sending photos. The second part of the interview deals with fundamental questions about sexting, if children know the term and if they perceive any risks that could stem from this behavior. The third part of the interview is about concrete experiences with sexting. I tried to find out if sexting children have personal experience and if they don´t, how they view those who actively sext. The summary shows that children today know what sexting is, even though they often don´t know it as sexting. From the research that I conducted, indicates that children usually use for taking photos of themselves naked cell phone, that is also the main resource to load this photos on the internet, especially on the Facebook page. Children who are sexting, do not know or realize risks and send photos again. Children who don´t do sexting are aware of the risks, and they don´t want to do this. With my work I would like to contribute actively to increase public awareness of the phenomenon and in particular I would like to appeal to parents, teachers and other adults to don´t take this phenomenon easy and take care about teenagers so that they never had to deal with the consequences that may sending sexual pictures cause
