Pravděpodobnostní překladový slovník
Rouš, Jan ; Pecina, Pavel (referee) ; Žabokrtský, Zdeněk (advisor)
In this work we present the method of semi-automatic training of the probabilistic translation dictionary using large automatically annotated parallel corpora. According to the study of translation errors and the role of translation dictionary within the TectoMt translatio system in general we propose models of various complexity. These basic models were combined to hierarchical models that were designed to reduce impact of the sparse data problem. Various extensions were implemented to deal with common lexical errors. The dictionary along with extensions was compared to the former approach on test data and the results show improved translation quality.

The level of autoantibodies against procathepsin D in the different sets of patients
Prokopová, Veronika ; Dršata, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Springer, Drahomíra (referee)
VERONIKA PROKOPOVÁ THE LEVEL OF AUTOANTIBODIES AGAINST PROCATHEPSIN D IN THE DIFFERENT SETS OF PATIENTS ABSTRACT Cathepsin D (E.C. 3.4.23.5, CD) is lysosomal aspartic peptidase syntetized in all of the mammal cells and the ability to catalyze the hydrolitic cleavage peptidic bonds in peptides or proteins belongs to its basis characteristic. During the long-standing research it was discovered, that there exist an increased expression of CD in tumorous cells, which is more than 50 times higher than in normal cells and which leads to secretion of CD from these cells. Only enzymatically inactive zymogen procathepsin D (pCD) with intact activation peptide (AP) attached is being released by the tumorous cells. It was shown, that this activation peptide is probably responsible for the mitogenic activity in the tumorous cells. It comes up very often to the creation of antitumor immune response against tumor antigens at patients suffering from tumorous condition. Determination of these autoantibodies and analysing of diagnosed antigens could employed as diagnostic and prognostic markers. The aim of our study was to verify the hypothesis, that the level of autoantibodies against AP pCD could be employed for diagnostic purposes, first of all as a new tumorous marker. It was necessary to develop and optimalize ELISA...

Supernatural level of thinking
Kubová, Blanka ; Doubek, David (referee) ; Levínská, Markéta (advisor)
The bachelor thesis named "Supernatural level of thinking" comes out mainly from the qualitative research, which was executed on this theme. So, it deals with the approach of sepurnature by students who had participated in this research. This thesis is composed of three main chapters. Of theoretical chapter, of methodological chapter, finally of practical chapter. In the theoretical there are explaned concepts generated from the research explained. These concepts are afterwards used in the practical chapter, so they are important to be understood by a reader. These are concepts as the magic, the religion and the supernatural esence. In the methodological chapter there is a short discourse about a qualitative research, about a research sample and mainly about methods, which were used for the research. As the main method I present an interview there, I mention also the other merhods which were used, method of observation and questionnaire method. Finally, the practical chapter comes out mainly from interviews, that were executed with the students. In this part I cite their opinions and experience that they have with the supernature. These citations are going hand in hand with general analysis of gained information. I assume that this thesis could among others help to better awareness of this question, also...

Therapeutical dog in a regular nursery
Štanclová, Erika ; Mrkosová, Eva (referee) ; Květoňová, Lea (advisor)
The thesis ' Therapeutical dog in a regular nursery' adverts to the extraordinary relationship, verified by professionals, between pre-school children and dogs. This fact together with carried out research forms the basis of the author's proposal to use canistherapy to aid children's easier adaptation in nursery, accommodate their emotional needs and create a more pleasant atmosphere in the classroom. Activities with a therapeutical dog can bring happiness and alternative educational practices for anxious children, children suffering from behaviour disorders, children from disadvantaged families as well as children with communication problems.

Data network simulation using direct code execution
Trávníček, Michal ; Bartl, Milan (referee) ; Krkoš, Radko (advisor)
Purpose of this master thesis was to explain simulation of real network, point to the imperfection during these simulations and try to find out technologies and solutions that could improve credibility of simulation. For this purpose, network simulator ns-3 has been chosen which supports direct code execution together with Quagga software suite. Master thesis describes internet protocol IPv4, UDP protocol, basics of routing and detailed explanation of OSPF routing protocol. Focus in this thesis is also on general description of simulation, its kinds and detail explanation of discrete simulation that is used by ns-3 simulator. Next chapter explains theory of ns-3 simulator, its development, conceptual overview and objects. Direct code execution and Quagga that both help improve credibility of simulation, are described in last chapter of theoretical part of thesis. In practical part of thesis is explained how to install and configure all three implemantaions of ns-3 simulator on Ubuntu, linux distribution. On the basis of obtained knowledge, the simulation model has been designed, also there has been given detailed explanation of how to create new model of simulation and how to analyze its results for all implementation.

Public-private partnership and its possibility of usage in social services in Czech Republic

Semiadaptive 3D modeling
Kubík, Pavel ; Pelikán, Josef (referee) ; Winkler, Zbyněk (advisor)
In first part of this paper, methods for reducing complexity of building 3D maps are introduced. These methods use predictions about scene properties or special hardware devices for reducing complexity such as a laser range finder, an omnidirection camera or both. Furthermore, an algorithm for creating a reconstructed scene using a camera and robot odometry is presented. The method presupposes moving on a straight floor and an indoor environment. A user can interact with the algorithm and help with creating model or with repairing parts of the model, if they were not satisfactorily created by the automatic algorithm. An interaction also allows to apply the method in various environments, which weren't initially planned. So, the adaptation to the new environment may be done by a user. The output model is exported to the common format for virtual reality VRML. This allows to view the model in e.g. a web browser. The presented method was implemented with a user interface to enable an interaction with the algorithm. The method was tested on data from the real world and the effectiveness of each user's interferences was evaluated.

Three essays on public procurement
Skuhrovec, Jiří ; Janda, Karel (advisor) ; Mejstřík, Michal (referee) ; Tóth, István János (referee) ; King, Lawrence (referee)
The core of thesis lays in quantitative analysis of microeconomic data on public procurement and alternative forms of dealing with public money. It consists of three essays with one common attribute: extensive groundwork with data, including overlaps into legal and technical disciplines. The fist essay examines the relationship between transparency of ownership structure and (i) profits of firms winning public procurement contracts and (ii) competition for the contracts and savings of the public authority. It identifies a significant advantage of firms with opaque ownership structure in terms of access to public money. It concludes with a possible explanation of conflict of interest and corruption, which might channel such advantages. The second essay proposes and tests a novel methodology for benchmarking of contracting authorities. The proposed rating measures a deviation from best practice recommendations in the areas of openness, competition and transparency. Indirectly it measures efficiency and corruption potential in public procurement. The pilot results of the methodology are provided and extensively discussed for a group of Czech municipalities. Third essay investigates issue of crowding out effect potentially introduced by EU funds provision. It studies direct budgetary impacts of...

Navigation System for a Mobile Robot Based on Omni-Directional Vision
Benda, Jan ; Flusser, Jan (advisor) ; Bakstein, Hynek (referee)
The thesis addresses the vast problem of mobile robot localization in the dynamic environment of a robotic contest. Method based on particle filters is developed, using only the image of a catadioptric visual sensor as its input. The advantage of this approach is an easy portability thanks to independence on other systems of the mobile robot and robustness to external influences such as robot collisions. This new method employs the composition of fast color thresholding, look-up coordinate transformation, vision-based motion prediction and Monte Carlo Localization to gain robust and reliable pose tracking using a color map of a delimited environment. Since the method uses visual data both to determine the relative motion and to verify the current location, it can cope with an unexpected events such as wheel slippage or collision.
