Relational database systems with a view to library applications

Cílem této práce je překlenout propast mezi akademickou teorií o databázích a skutečným vytvářením databází v reálném knihovnickém světě. Práce je zaměřena na výklad informací, které je třeba vzít v úvahu, pokud se rozhodneme navrhovat databáze pro knihovní aplikace. V textu diplomové práci není vynecháno ani důležité vypracování analytické dokumentace k databázovým projektům. Stejně tak jsou popsány i možné návrhy grafických uživatelských rozhraní. Práce vychází z případů, které se vyskytují v reálném provozu knihovny, resp. v knihovnickém systému, jenž je v dnešní moderní době stěžněm každého provozu knihovny. Tyto případy se zakládají na běžných implementacích jazyka SQL.

Tato práce, ačkoli se pokouší o jisté uchopení, zdaleka nemůže obsáhnout ani hloubku ani šíři problému, jímž se badatelé intenzivně zabývají více než jedno století, tj. mýtu. Snaží se alespoň rozpoznat a pojmenovat některé z "mytických" ("s mýtem souvisejících", "mající s mýtem společné rysy") aspektů ve zkoumaném textu - v Nekonečném příběhu. Diploma thesis "The referendum on the Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe in France - analyses of the results and consequences" deals with the theme of the referendum as a method of decision making in general, but also focuses on the referendum in the context of the European integration process. The French referendum on the European constitution is analysed from the point of view of the campaign. Special attention is paid to the assesment of the results. The main purpose of the theses is to evaluate and sum up the impact of this unique event on the situation in France and European integration process in general. The singularity of the French referendum is demonstrated on the special reaction of the European Council, European Commission and European Parliament, which followed the negative result of the referendum. Mardi Gras as a phenomenon of New Orleans local culture

Diploma thesis "Mardi Gras as a phenomenon of New Orleans local culture" describes the tradition of carnival in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana. Carnival in Louisiana is a very old festival - that is why I described history of this festival until its present form. Carnival in United States of America is connected to people with French heritage, who are known as Creoles. I also explained creole culture. During the years, carnival was changed, influenced and enriched many times thanks to many different people, who moved into New Orleans. I also considered their important role in Mardi Gras. I visited New Orleans many times and I was able to make terrain research during couple carnival seasons. I was also able to interview many interesting people who are part of carnival. I used the results of my participating observation and interviews to describe carnival in present form. This festival is still very popular not only for New Orleans inhabitants, but also for many tourists from all around the world. I also wrote about Mardi Gras from economical point of view.

The concept, types and modes of awarding public procurement contract

11. SUMMARY Public procurement contracting in the Czech Republic is carried out according to the Act on public procurement. Contracting authorities of public procurements are entities of public law (state, region, municipality or another legal person of public law) as well as private persons if they order contracts paid by a public contracting authority at least by one half (that means subsidised contracting authorities) or carry out the so-called relevant activity (that means sector contracting authorities). The Act on public procurement regulates the actual contracting as well as supervision above contracting. Contracting is one of six types of contracting process. It is about a pre-contracting process that must be kept before entering into a contract by each entity, which is a contracting authority of public procurement. Supervision above contracting is done by the Office for the Protection of Competition. We divide public procurements according to the subject of fulfilment and also according to the expected value. If it is according to the subject of fulfilment, these are public procurements above the limit, under the limit and small scope ones. 65 Veřejná obchodní soutěž Public tender Summary The purpose of my thesis is to analyse public tender, which represents the best way how the potential contractor could conclude to an optimal agreement. The reason why I choose this particular topic is my aim to increase the knowledge about public tender because its usage in business transaction is very rare. My thesis focuses on its law adjustment in Commercial Code. However, the Code devotes its law adjustment relatively few provisions (Sections 281 - 288), public tender is the complicated institute of the law and therefore it is necessary to analyse it closer. The thesis does not set up the goal to find new ideas, but rather critically reviewed the regulation and the legal position of public tender in the Czech law order. The thesis is composed of three chapters; each of them deals with different aspects of public tender. Chapter one deals with trade agreements, because public tender is the specific form of agreement formation. This chapter mentions the distinction between the adjustment in Commercial and Civil Code. Tato diplomová práce Je věnována kontrastivní analýze původních ruských a českých legislativních textů z hlediska jejich koherence a koheze. Poznatky z kontrastivní analýzy jsou pak východiskem pro následnou translatologickou analýzu překladu českého obchodního zákona do ruštiny a výsledkem práce je zhodnocení tohoto překladu právě z hlediska již zmíněné problematiky. Proč bylo zvoleno právě toto téma? Rozhodující vliv měla mimo jiné také skutečnost, že v posledních několika letech, zejména po úspěšném překonání ruské finanční krize ve druhé polovině roku 1998 a vstupu České republiky 1. května 2004 do Evropské unie, zažívají vzájemné politické a ekonomické vztahy mezi oběma zeměmi plnohodnotnou renesanci. Stále více českých obchodníků vnímá Rusko především jako trh skýtající značné možnosti, a také stále více ruských firem si uvědomuje potenciál českého trhu a směřuje na něj své zboží a služby. Se vstupem jakékoli právnické či fyzické osoby na zahraniční trh však bezprostředně souvisí nutnost seznámit se s právním prostředím dané země. Old Czech glosses in the writings Or zarua and Arugat ha-bosem

České glosy v středověkých hebrejských spisech se doposud nesetkaly s patřičným zájmem české ani zahraniční bohemistiky; ten se zatím omezoval na všeobecné zmínky a pobídky k výzkumu. Na opomíjení tohoto bohatého lingvoliterárního materiálu poukazovala a poukazuje zejména česká hebraistika. Je zřejmé, že bohemistika se musí zabývat i texty psanými v jiných jazycích, než je čeština či slovanské jazyky: dnes již snad nikdo nepochybuje o zařazení latinských textů české provenience do dějin naší literatury, postupně přijímány jsou i texty psané německy mluvícími autory, hlásícími se k českému území a kultuře. Písemnictví česko-hebrejské, tedy texty psané hebrejským jazykem českými Židy, stojí doposud v pozadí. Hebrejské středověké spisy jsou nejen významnými literárními památkami z doby, z níž se do současnosti nedochovalo mnoho textů; jsou zároveň i nedoceněným pramenem poznání života tehdejších obyvatel Českého království, a to jak židovských, tak i nežidovských. Obzvlášť pozoruhodným aspektem těchto spisů je právě přítomnost českých, resp. jinojazyčných glos. Title: Homomorphic encryption and coding theory Author: Veronika Půlpánová Department: Department of algebra Supervisor: RNDr. Michal Hojsík, Ph.D., Department of algebra Abstract: The current mainstream in fully homomorphic encryption is the appro- ach that uses the theory of lattices. The thesis explores alternative approaches to homomorphic encryption. First we present a code-based homomorphic encrypti- on scheme by Armknecht et. al. and study its properties. Then we describe the family of cryptosystems commonly known as Polly Cracker and identify its pro- blematic aspects. The main contribution of this thesis is the design of a new fully homomorphic symmetric encryption scheme based on Polly Cracker. It proposes a new approach to overcoming the complexity of the simple Polly Cracker - based cryptosystems. It uses Gröbner bases to generate zero-dimensional ideals of po- lynomial rings over finite fields whose factor rings are then used as the rings of ciphertexts. Gröbner bases equip these rings with a multiplicative structure that is easily algorithmized, thus providing an environment for a fully homomorphic cryptosystem. Mexican drug war and possibilities of its solution

The drug war in Mexico is a theme of this bachelor's work; this war has fully escalated after Felipe Calderón took president office in 2006. The very object of this work is to suggest and judge possible schemes of conflict solving. The work summarizes brief history related to origin and following development of narcomafia in Mexico. Further, it characterizes most influential drug organizations in the country and their influence on Mexican inhabitants is stated too. The most frequent crimes, which have been committed by drug gangs in recent years, are mentioned as well. The summary of measures adopted in a fight against mafia by federal government and president follows. The United States support is not forgotten either. In conclusion, probable variants of conflict solving are expressed on the basis of analyzed information.
