Burešová, Jana ; Charamza, Pavel (referee) ; Keprta, Stanislav (advisor)
In the present work we study the process of determination of capital requirement for credit risk that is recommended by the Basel Commitee for Banking Supervision to implement into national legislation and that is also obligatory for all European banks since it is a part of the Capital Requirement Directive. At the beginning of this thesis, basic principles and three pillars of The New Basel Capital Accord (2004), better known as Basel II, are described. After focusing on the part of the rst pillar dealing with credit risk, di erent approaches to credit risk measurement are introduced. The most important formula for the advanced internal-ratings based approach is then analyzed under the settings of mathematical models it is based on. In the last chapter, the output of the formula for capital requirement calculated for a given hypothetic portfolio is compared to the estimate of unexpected loss, that the requirement should correspond to.

Konopa, Ondřej
The goal of the work Norwegian piano music is to map out the important part of Norwegian music culture, to outline possibilities of its usage in concerts as well as in pedagogical practice and to present the results to the wide public. Semantic annotation of data from web resources
Dědek, Jan ; Pokorný, Jaroslav (referee) ; Vojtáš, Peter (advisor)
This work starts with the idea of The Semantic Web. Then basic description logics is introduced with its parallel in a couple of formalisms for building of ontology. In this work, there is shown, how the ontologies are employed in the semantic annotation process and also there are described some projects that use semantic annotation in a practical way. Information extraction methods that help to automatize the semantic annotation process are mentioned. Tools for natural language processing of Czech language are described in detail. A practical experiment shows how these tools can help with extraction of information from plain text. This work also deals with the relationship of natural language processing and formal representation of knowledge in description logics.

The Piano Works of Robert Schumann with a view to Instruction in Composition
Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Moral behaviour of half-way house clients

Image interpretation value and its purpose in creation of scientific figures and infographics
Phung, Hyu Nghia ; Sigmund, Tomáš (advisor) ; Horný, Stanislav (referee)
Graphic figures and various types of infographics have become an essential part of the scientific papers, business presentations and study materials. Although, authors of these documents often lack the knowledge of basic rules and principles of graphic design and learn how to create figures by trial and error. Literature addressing the issues of effective verbal (presentation skills) and non-verbal (principles of scientific writing) is available and accessible. Though literature addressing the issues of scientific figure design and general visual design are very few, sometimes non existent, despite the fact that images, figures and various charts are one of the most effective mediums for information sharing. This lack of material knowledge is detrimental to the quality of works of managers, professors and researchers. This thesis attempts to fill in this gap and motivate readers to further development and research of the issue. The thesis addresses the issue of figures from its core, those being the basic principles of image perception and interpretation. Building on concepts of theorists like Peirce, Saussure and Eco the thesis will then define the meaning and purpose of "Image Interpretation Value". Selected principles of figure construction and interpretation will be introduced. These principles will then be further analyzed and applied on the level of business and scientific figures. Each chapter will include various graphic figures and practical examples to enhance further understanding of the issue. The primary purpose and goal of this thesis is to create an easy-to-follow set of instructions and suggestions on how to design effective and intelligible figures to be used in the fields of business communication, scientific research and academic teaching.

Obrazová, Martina ; Rakušanová, Marie (advisor) ; Pech, Milan (referee)
ANGLICKÉ RESUMÉ Josef Holub. Life and Work. The theme of this Bachelor Thesis rises from my interest in the landscape painting and in the art of the turn of 19th and 20th centuries. Nowadays, the art historicians dwell on the students of Julius Mařák, but Josef Holub still stays in the shadow of his more famous schoolmates. That is why I have decided to refer to the life and work of this painter. The part of my Bachelor Thesis will be the catalogue of Josef Holub's works in the inheritance of Městské muzeum in Kralupy nad Vltavou. Josef Holub was born in 1870 in Slaný and the local landscape was often theme ( subject ) of his paintings. Due to the financial problems of his family he could not start immediately his studies at Academy of Art in Prague, so first he had been trained as decorator. He entered the Academy of Art not before 1889/90. He has been studying by professor Julius Mařák until 1894, but already in the year 1893 he received the graduating certificate and he stayed at Academy until 1896. In the same year he received Hlávka's scholarship, which he used for his journey to Dalmácie (Dalmatia) and Černá Hora (Black Mountain). During his studies he has been drawing attention to himself at many Prague exhibitions. He has exhibited his works on shows of Krasoumná jednota pro Čechy v Praze, Umělecká...
