Implications of the institutional theories of regional development for the emergence of the regional innovation systems in the Czech Republic
Žížalová, Pavla ; Blažek, Jiří (advisor) ; Jeřábek, Milan (referee) ; Skokan, Karel (referee)
Title: Implications of the institutional theories of regional development for the emergence of the regional innovation systems in the CzechRepublic Author: Pavla Žižalová Summary The accelerated intensity of the economic globalization and its implications for all segments of the society during the last couple of days have changed profoundly the workings of contemporary capitalism. Increased pressure is put on national and regional economies to continuously upgrade their competitive advantages and at the same time new learning opportunities occur at a faster rate than ever. As a result, in recent years, almost all have come to a consensus that today's advanced economies are "knowledge-based" economies -economies directly based on the production, distribution and use of knowledge where learning and innovation creation is the most fundamental process for competitiveness not only for firms and organizations, but also for nations and regions. Parallel to the globalization process there are, however, strong forces of localization. To some extent paradoxically, empirical studies have revealed that knowledge intensive industries - the most potentially footloose of all activities - tend to agglomerate in space, often in proximity to universities and research institutes. Indeed, the most knowledge- intensive of these...

The role of securitization in financial crisis
Pojer, Vladimír ; Dvořák, Petr (advisor) ; Křížek, Tomáš (referee)
The theme of my thesis is the role of securitization of assets in American sub prime crisis and following global financial crisis. The trend of securitization was putting through on financial markets in last decades. This trend played important part in the beginning of crisis and also in its spreading in other countries and other industries of economy. Jantová, Alžběta ; Vachulová, Jana (referee) ; Květoňová, Lea (advisor)
A Touristic Club for Children with Visual Impairment by the School of Jaroslav Ježek operates with minimal changes for a few decades. The goal of the Club is to organize and support leisure activities for children with visual impairment throughout the year. The activities are supported by volunteers, mainly students. The goal of this thesis is to describe the activity of the Touristic Club and to find out its benefit for children with visual impairment. The knowledge about development of children of primary and secondary school age is summarized in the first part of the thesis, where the main stress is put upon their needs and importance of peer groups. The thesis deals with leisure time and leisure activities of children with visual impairment. Possibilities of leisure activities are introduced as well as organizations which provide them. One chapter is dedicated to the Touristic Club for Children with Visual Impairment, its history, tradition and contemporary situation. The benefit of the Club was surveyed by a questionnaire. Based on the results of the survey, the participation in the activities of the Club is an unforgettable experience for the children. Leisure activities for children with visual impairments deserve further focus.

Semantic web - the ontological future Internet
Piňos, Eduard ; Šlerka, Josef (advisor) ; Souček, Jiří (referee)
The theme of this thesis is a description of the history, current state and the future development of the semantic web and its technologies within the assumptions of World Wide Web Consortium - W3C. It mainly covers the principles of this concept in correlation with an unfulfilled potential of World Wide Web in the area of information retrieval using machinereadable data. The first part of the text provides deeper information about logical basis and technological aspects of the semantic web. Above all it deals with the basic data model for most of the semantic languages and applications - the RDF (Resource Description Framework) and the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) used for the identification of web based or even non-web based resources. The second part of the thesis deals with some basic facts of the problems of the semantic web to gain mass support for its development. Among this there is a broader description of the most important contemporary semantic applications, including the leading one - the DBpedia knowledge base created by several German universities. In the last part the philosophical connotations linked to the transformation of user experience within the semantic web are mentioned, so as is the overall impact on the web community and the global society.

Rekombinace a reakce iontů v plazmatu
Varju, Jozef ; Glosík, Juraj (advisor) ; Kaňka, Adolf (referee)
One of the most interesting questions in contemporary interstellar chemistry is the HCN/HNC abundance ratio observed in dense interstellar clouds. The observed ratios vary from 80:1 to 1:5 depending on the object under observation. These ratios represent a striking deviation from thermochemical equilibrium. Dissociative recombination of HCNH+ has been invoked to explain these observations. It is suggested to study details of this recombination using FALP apparatus equipped with NIR Cavity Ringdown Absorption Spectrometer (IR - CRDS). In the presented work we have developed kinetic model describing formation of HCNH+/e- plasma and consequent production of HCN and HNC. Analysed and discussed are conditions of experiment and applicability of IR - CRDS for the proposed study. To confirm our analyses the preliminary experiments were carried out using microwave discharge cell equipped with IR - CRDS. Studies of H3O+ and H2D+ ions were carried out to put together the experiment. The absorption spectra in a plasma containing He/N2/CH4 were measured in order to determine transition frequencies for study of products of recombination of CNH+ ions.

Stage Design and Conceptual Art
Hudcová, Jitka ; ŽIŽKA, Tomáš (advisor) ; TÄUBELOVÁ, Kristýna (referee)
This thesis is divided in two parts. First part presents theoretical insight to the phenomenon of installation art as an artistic genre that represents the intersection of art and theatre. Individual chapters are arranged according to the type of experience that installations intermediate to the beholder. The exception is the chapter about European interwar avant-garde, in which I describe the kind of precursors of contemporary installation art. Individual examples given are chosen to adequately represent the diversity of artistic creations. Second part of the thesis consists of reflections of my own creative works.

Secondary objective is to reveal best marketing strategy on this market, map current trends and predict future economical development of video game industry. The first part of the thesis focuses on the history of entertainment market from late 19th century to 2000s to bring complex portrait of the market. Second part is focused on contemporary situation on the market and the competition. I analysed marketing mix of three biggest players on the console market: Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft. The analysis revealed the crutial parts of succesful marketing mix: technological advanced product, research and development, clear close and immediate communication with customers, importance of following consumer trends (mainly social gaming) and worldwide market presence. Contribution of this thesis, apart from achieving two set objectives, is bringing insight of the market to local small game developers who can benefit from it and become more competitive.
