Jahnová, Michaela ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Hráský, Pavel (referee)
Title: Movement as a prevention of arthritis of the knee joint Objectives: The aim of my work is to sum up all the available facts concerning the problems related to arthritis of the knee joint and, on the basis of the results of the literature search, to make a recommendation of a training programme for its prevention. The intended objective is to focus on the causes of its formation and development and to use this knowledge in the suggestion of the training programme which could help to prevent or delay the onset and reduce the progression of this disease. Methods: For the Bachelor work I will be collecting, sorting and organising all my information. As a result of this examination of literature I will achieve my intended goal for this Bachelor work. Results: I found out that we cannot cure arthritis of the knee joint, we can only reduce its development and final results. The most important part is the prevention, which includes daily functional exercise and specially designed programmes. Developed muscles stabilise the knee joint and therefore intelligently planned daily activity is important for the construction of an intact knee joint which is needed to ensure safe operation in many sports and even in our daily activities. I focused the recommendation of a training programme on the midlife and...

Rathouská, Michaela ; Kučera, Tomáš (referee) ; Burcin, Boris (advisor)
Analysis of mortality from breast cancer in selected European countries Malignant neoplasms are in most European countries the second most common cause of death. The aim of this work is to describe the evolution of mortality of women which is caused by breast cancer. It describes this evolution in the years of 1980-2007 in the Czech Republic, Great Britain and Sweden. Development of mortality is set into the broader connections with a mortality rate of more frequent causes of death and certain other neoplasms in women. Work analyzes mortality by age, the incidence, and it also shows screening programs and international comparisons. Part of this work also deals with risk factors, prevention and treatment options. In all analyzed countries in analyzed period there have been decline of mortality from neoplasm, while the incidence increased. There was a shift of mortality to higher age , particularly in relation to improving health care and its increasing availability. The incidence was observed moving from the oldest to the younger age group, especially in due to introduction of the national mammography screening.

Aggressive behavior of the mentally challenged person with disabilities in social care institutions.
ZEMANOVÁ, Martina
In Czech Republic, there is still paid just a little attention to aggressive behaviour of people with mental disability. There has appeared a significant development of providing social services since 2007. Services are transformed, and they are gradually moving from restrictive measures to support and to preventive procedures focused on the approach to clients. The first chapter examines the characteristics of mental disability. The second chapter describes social services according to the Law 108/2006 Coll. on social services, and it defines the service Home for People with Health Disabilities. In the third chapter I write about offending behavior, mostly about aggression, its causes, course, control, prevention and possibilities of therapies. The fourth chapter describes the importance of communication as a prevention of aggression. I dedicate the fifth chapter to the education of staff working in social services. Another topic in this chapter is the supervision as the assistance and support for staff working with people with mental disabilities and controlling the aggressive behavior. In the last chapter of the theoretical part I describe restrictive measures, which are follow up procedures when dealing with the aggression. The practical part is processed in the form of qualitative research, method of questioning and by using the technique of the semistructured interview. The research sample were employees working in the direct care, which had worked there for at least five years. Interviews with selected respondents took place from December 2012 to February 2013. The objective of this research was to find out what awareness the employees had of causes of the aggressive behavior, prevention and restriction. The recorded evidence indicates that all responding staff encountered the aggressive behavior of a person with mental disability and they perceived it as offending. They described the aggression as physical or verbal attacks against other person or property. Demonstration of the aggressive behavior is also auto-aggression. Is there any possibility of avoiding the aggressive behavior? All respondents agreed that the cause of aggressive behavior of people with mental disabilities were unfulfilled basic human needs. What concerns the role of the staff in preventing the aggression, all respondents think, that therapy, employment of clients and the appropriate communication, which shall be adapted individually, play very important role. All respondents perceive the supervision, which is helpful at their work, as a prevention. Similarly, the same is the education, which is mandatory for them by the law. What are the restrictive measures? All respondents answered that they were instruments, which limited human mobility. They also demonstrated knowledge of their use. Respondents did not mention in the interview abou the fact, that these measures may be used only for strictly necessary period. It is necessary to indicate this fact in the report on the application of restrictive measures, which, as all respondents had indicated, they filled in. That is why they think that, at its essence, they know this information. Another thing they did not mention was to inform the client himself, that restrictive measures will be used against him. I address this to possible stress during interviews on this subject. Overall, I would say that the staff know the aggressive behavior in people with mental disabilities. Likewise they know what causes aggression, how it can be prevented andwhat are the follow-up procedures if the aggressive behavior of the client occurs.

Confrontation of western and eastern spirituality: options and limitations of contemporary approaches the transcendent
KLOZAR, Karel
The thesis deals with examination of the transcendent in relation to the human being through intraspective and extraspective analysis of some typical differences of eastern and western approach to being. Pointing out some fundamental differences on extraspective level. Searching for possible similarities on intraspective level ? real, imaginary and possible. Inspiration with Jung's collective unconsciousness and individuation process as the possible key to understanding the essence of human as focus of relation of an universal and an individual. The transcendent as a collective goal, or source of conflict? Are eastern and western approaches the transcendent compatible? Is there some essence of the transcendent, which is universal and points to some unbiased form of experience? Integration of consciousness and unconsciousness as the fundamental joint of East and West.

Actual options in prevention of premature labor
Hjertaas, Benedikte ; Straňák, Zbyněk (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to review the current options for treating premature labor. It will focus on evaluating the efficacy of the various therapies based on the comparisons of data presented in available articles on clinical trials. The results show that many of the treatments used today yield little or no improvement. And for those that are proven to be effective it is difficult to distinguish the patients that can benefit from the treatment from those that will not.

APLICATION OF UHPLC/MS/MS TECHNIQUE FOR QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS OF FARNESOL AND TYROSOL, AS A PRODUCT OF METABOLISM OF CANDIDA ALBICANS Petr Gregus 1 , Lucie Novakova 1 1 Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Kralove, Heyrovskeho 1203, 50005 Hradec Králové SUMMARY : Candida albicans is generally one of the most often isolated fungal pathogens in human body. It is a common cause of nosocomial infections, bloodstream infections, urinary infections and infections of digestive tract. One of the most infectious diseases is vaginal candidosis, which affects most of healthy population of women. Candida albicans can grow as hyphae, pseudohyphae, or budding yeast. The availability of this diversity - the variability of the internal morphology is of great benefit for the oraganism's lifestyle. Morphological change of yeast forms to pseudomycelium or mycelium (hyphae) characterizes the transition from colonial statute to invasive. In addition to the physical-chemical factors during these transformation procedures - farnesol and tyrosol participate as well as quorum sensing compounds. Farnesol which, if accumulated over a certain limit, it prevents the conversion of yeast to the mycelium. Tyrosol, which accelerates the conversion in to the form of the germ (germ tubes), namely the...
