The specifics of nursing care of patient with lymphoma
ŠTOKSOVÁ, Lucie
This thesis deals with the nursing care of patients with lymphoma. Patients with this disease experience considerable fatigue and their condition may be worsened by complications associated with treatment. The most common complications that occur during treatment include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and inflammation of the oral cavity. The role of nurses is effective nursing care for patients, psychological support and adequate communication. The thesis is divided into two sections, a theoretical section and a research section. The theoretical part describes the characteristics of the disease, the treatment and the nursing care of patients with lymphoma. In the research part a quantitative survey, using anonymous questionnaires from nurses, was used and qualitative research was conducted using interviews with patients. The first stated aim of this thesis was to discover the level of knowledge of nurses about the nursing care of patients with lymphoma. The second objective was to determine whether the current nursing care for patients with lymphoma contributes to the improvement of their psychological state. The hypothesis chosen for the first part was: Nurses are informed about the nursing care of patients with lymphoma. The answer to this hypothesis is: Yes, nurses are informed about the nursing care of patients with lymphoma. The research question chosen for the second part was: How does nursing care contribute to improving the psychological state of patients with lymphoma? The answer to this question is: Nursing care helps to improve the psychological state of patients with the opportunity to cooperate with a psychologist, the support of medical staff and adequately informing patients about the course of treatment and nursing care. This work may serve not only as additional information for nurses who encounter patients with the disease lymphoma, but also for nurses who wish to obtain information about the disease. It is important that nurses apply their theoretical knowledge in practice.

Spasticity and selective voluntary motor control assessment possibilities will be summarized. Classification systems of the gross motor functions (levels of locomotion) are also mentioned. The main objective is to elaborate selective motor control ability scale (IP) which is newly proposed in this study. The level of locomotion of 25 children with spastic cerebral palsy is compared with IP outputs, spasticity measurement outputs using Ashworth scale respectively. The most common bacterial originators of intestinal diseases in adults in the Czech republic
KOPECKÁ, Kristýna
My bachelor thesis focuses on the most frequent bacterial causes of intestinal diseases in adults in the Czech Republic. I deal with bacterial intestinal pathogens of Salmonella, Shigella, Yersinia, Campylobacter genus. The theoretical part characterises the selected intestinal bacterial pathogens and their microbial diagnostics. In the present time of progress various new and modern methods and instruments keep appearing to accelerate and improve diagnostics. But I focus exclusively on methods used as a routine in clinical microbiological laboratories. These methods include cultivation of microbes, biochemical specification and sensitivity tests. The proof by cultivation is a standard procedure. Biochemical tests are used for microbe identification. Antigen analysis is used for further specification of bacteria. Specification of sensitivity to antibiotics for correct therapy is an integral part of this method. The practical part describes laboratory diagnostics of bacterial intestinal pathogens from stool swab used by the accredited microbial laboratory of RNDr. Alena Veselská in Ústí nad Labem, which I performed in practice while on scholarship there. The results summarise laboratory results from the period October 2012 to March 2013. positive results are compared to the data obtained from Epidate of the National Healthcare Institute in Prague included in the report of the Epidemiology and Microbiology Centre. I have further processed finds of intestinal pathogens in the period 2003 to 2012 published in CEM reports. The results show that the most frequently reported bacterial intestinal pathogen in the Czech Republic in the period 2003 to 2006 was Salmonella, followed by Campylobacter. Situation changed in 2007, when diagnosed Campylobacter moved to the top rank in the Czech Republic. In contrast to the two abovementioned bacteria finds of Shigella are relatively scarce.

The financial instability hypothesis of Hyman P. Minsky and its apllication to the current financial crisis
Paulus, Michal ; Skuhrovec, Jiří (referee) ; Mertlík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the financial instability hypothesis of Hyman P. Minsky and its application to the current financial crisis. The first part of the thesis summarizes the hypothesis, and it mentions works elaborating the hypothesis. The second part of the bachelor thesis applies the hypothesis to the current financial crisis. The whole thesis refers to the general discussion about relations of the Minsky's hypothesis to the current financial crisis and to the fall of the insurance company AIG Corporation. The second part concludes that many relevant parts of Minsky's hypothesis can be applied to the recent financial crisis but important differences of the current financial system to the system in Minsky's times should be awared of. There are two most important differences: changes in risk management and new financial instruments. At the end, the thesis discusses the implications of these differences for applicability of the hypothesis on the current financial crisis. The thesis regards the fact that the recent financial crisis is caused by rational behaviour of economic agents and not by exogenous forces as the most important lesson to learn from the financial instability hypothesis of Hyman P. Minsky.

Operators on the emergency line 155. Reviewing operators control over calls (with callers) by means of transactional analysis
Čepická, Blanka ; Šípek, Jiří (advisor) ; Hartl, Pavel (referee) ; Honzák, Radkin (referee)
The work focuses on reviewing phone calls to the 155 emergency line of the Emergency Medical Service, by means of transactional analysis. The review concentrated on how the operators controlled the phone calls. We studied their ways of dealing with the requests that were the subject matter of the emergency line calls. Transactional analysis has proved to be a good instrument to analyze procedures the operators had chosen to conduct the calls. The outcomes helped describe characteristics of both constructively and unconstructively conducted calls. The results can provide good basis for complementing the currently purely medical training of the emergency line operators, to include the dimension of psychological variables, which may affect the course of calls.
