Exploitation of the European Social Fund in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the exploitation of the European Social Fund in the Czech Republic through the Community Initiative EQUAL, which was realized in the programme period 2000-2006, and is characterized by a such aid as the development support and promotion of new innovative instruments competing with inequalities in the labour market. The thesis is divided into three parts, of which the first and the second part are the theoretical and the third is the practical. The first part of the thesis focuses on the description of the European social fund. The Community Initiatives in the programme period 1994-1999 and 2000-2006 and the Community Initiative EQUAL. The second part describes the basic principles of Community Initiative EQUAL that are obligatory for all that projects in this Initiative. There is also a chapter in this part that considers the evaluation of Initiative's basic principles. At first the practical part deals with questionnaire inquire where respondents are represented by organizations themselves that made the project under the Community Initiative EQUAL. Questionnaire is mostly focused on the fulfilment of the main principles in projects of Community Initiative and the continuity of organisations on this Initiative in the programme period 2007-2013. In the practical part there is also introduction of five projects that meet principles the Community Initiative EQUAL in the high quality way. These projects also use above mentioned principles in the programme period 2007-2013.
The administrative burden of public spending programs

The thesis is focused on finding administrative costs of the selected public spending program - the Operational Programme Education for Competitiveness. The work presents the theory of public expenditure, public spending projects and administrative costs to the extent required. There is also described the Operational Programme Education for Competitiveness itself. The core is in the analysis of administrative costs for the three types of projects, the administrative burden is watched in the selected projects at various levels of implementation structure. The values observed are compared, evaluated and commented. The problematic areas are formulated pursuant to the observed data. To determine the necessary data has been used a questionnaire survey.
The Impact Of Structural Funds On Small and Medium Enterprises In The Olomouc Region

This Bachelor's thesis investigates the impact of structural funds on small and medium enterprises in The Olomouc region. The support is drawn mainly on the Operational programme Enterprise and innovation as a grant. According to the questionnaire investigation performed the realized development projects helped to increase competitiveness and to penetrate new markets. They also increased the capacities of companies. But these are not fully used, now. The realized projects in marketing helped to the increase in export. The contribution to new jobs is different among projects and is not higher with increasing costs. However, the structural funds are not the impulse for preparation and/or realization of projects. Most of them would be realized even without the support. Their biggest contribution to small and medium enterprises is then the help to keep their financial stability.
Comparison of the systems of transnational business support programmes in the Czech Republic and in the Irish Republic

The diploma thesis focuses on business support provided by the EU structural funds. The aim is to describe, analyse and compare the systems of transnational business support programmes implemented in the Czech Republic and in Ireland. In addition, the diploma thesis aims to find out whether the application of the Irish system would be suitable for the Czech environment and whether it would be beneficial to change the current state.
EU Structural Funds: Control of OPPP Projects and Case Study

The objective of the diploma thesis is to explain and evaluate the process of control of projects that were realized within the Operational Programme Industry and Enterprise. The thesis points out the most common problems and mistakes that were discovered during the financial control and extended the proces of control and postponed the payment of grant. Another aim is prosessing of case study of real project and evaluation of its effects and benefits. Firs part of the diploma thesis contains introduction, second part is theoretical. It sets Operational Programme Industry and Enterprise into wider context. It defines EU regional and structural policies and their objectives. It also mentions particular structural funds. Second part also talks about legislative framework concerning these policies. And this part also mentions operational programmes'administration. Third part of the diploma thesis is concerned with the Operational Programme Industry and Enterprise (OPPP). It describes individual OPPP support programmes from which it was possible to draw the support. Beside that, it shows the process through which the project of applier had to go from application for support, through authorisation to realization and control of project. Fourth part of thesis deals with the control of projects and the main focus is on the financial control. Fifth part contains the case study of real project. The conclusion contains evaluation of projects control process and also evaluation of project that was analysed in the case sudy.
EU Structural Funds utilization for building and reconstruction of a guest-house in the Bohemian Forest

The Diploma thesis describes possibilities in funding from EU Structural Funds. The thesis is divided into 4 chapters. The first chapter summarizes history and present situation of EU Regional and structural policy, aims, operational programs and instruments. The second chapter represents possibilities in funding from EU Funds in Tourism industry. The third chapter processes information about project policy, describes individual steps of project plan creation. The final chapter should be an example of a concrete project in area of Tourism industry.
Export support from the EU Structural Funds

The first chapter discusses the EU Regional policy. The second chapter deals with practical implementation of Structural Funds support in the Czech Republic. Chapter 3 sums up tools used to support export from EU Structural Funds in the Czech Republic. Chapter 4 concentrates on recent state export support in the Czech Republic. The last chapter summarizes the results of my own research among aid beneficiaries from the Marketing programme.
The development of Microregion Poličsko (on the principle of the anylysis of selected realizing projects in the frame of ROP NUTS II Northeast)

This bachelor thesis is aimed to problems of development of microregions with the intention of the development Microregion Poličsko with the help of using financial means of the European Union from Regional Operational Program NUTS II Northeast. Theoretic part deals main objectives and implements of the policy of the economic and social cohesion for the program period 2007 -- 2013. Priority axes and areas of intervention of Regional Operational Program NUTS II determined for drawing from the structural fund of the European Union Northeast are next components of the theoretic part. At first practical part devotes socio-economic analysis of Microregion Poličsko owing to the reason of the view on economic structure of the microregion. The next part analyses concrete use of realizing projects in Microregion Poličsko. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find contributions for the development of Microregion Poličsko with the help of financial support from the European Union.
The analysis of the structural funds in the area of human resources in the Czech Republic

European Union structural funds is hot topic these days, especially in relation with global economic crisis, which forces the enterprises to use any available funds. The possibility for Czech republic to use money from European union funds, helps to its economic and social grow. My bachelor study is focused on complex description of European Union structural funds investments into human resources in Czech republic and analysis of: - how successful Czech republic is in getting the money from the funds; - whether allocated money met expectation compliant with the policies for using money from the structural funds; - and what Czech republic could do better in order to maximize the use of all available funds, which European Union offers.
Education, science and research in EU funding instruments

Subject of this thesis are the issues concerning financial subsidies from the EU funding instruments. The thesis focuses on education, science and research, and briefly describes their current situation in the Czech Republic. The main possible instruments financing these areas are the Structural Funds and the Community Programs. In the second part, there is given detailed instructions on how to prepare an application for a grant. The instructions are more amenable to the Operational Programs administrated in the Czech Republic, but its principles and structure of the project cycle can be used for any project or application.
