Possibilities of waste treatment in iron and steel industry
Mlčoch, Jakub ; Louda, Jiří (advisor) ; Petrášek, František (referee)
Metallurgical industry annually produces several hundred thousand tones of metalliferous wastes, which contain beside of the oxides of iron, metallic and non-metallic iron also the compounds such as zinc and lead, which are both environmentally and, secondly, preventing the recycling of this waste in metallurgical process in the production of pig iron and steel. The management of this waste, according to the valid legislation, the producer of the waste is burdened by the costs in the form of charges for uploading to a secure landfill or disposal of third parties. At the same time experience a loss of metallic substance contained in the waste, which would be used as a substitute for iron ore in the metallurgical process. Currently occurs on the part of the EU, the pressure to minimize waste, while emphasis is placed on the back of recovery (recycling). This pressure is also reflected in the increase in charges for storing waste, forcing enterprises to innovate in the field of recycling technologies. The correct settings and the use of recycling technologies implies reduction of production costs, which can be discerned from the economic calculation in the application section of the work, that handle with a specific value of the fee for storage of waste.

Synthesis of NK1 antagonists.
Puchnerová, Lucie ; Doležal, Martin (advisor) ; Zitko, Jan (referee)
Synthesis of NK-1 antagonists Lucie Puchnerová Department of Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy University of Seville NK-1 receptor antagonists are represented so far by only one drug, Aprepitant, which is available on the market for prevention of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting. Nevertheless, it is assumed that NK-1 antagonists will be able to participate in treatment of migraine, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, pain, inflammatory bowel disease, Parkinson's disease, anxiety and depression in future. This thesis is concerned with asymmetric synthesis of derivatives of 2-amino-4H-pyran, which thanks their substitutions are in accordance with structure of pharmacophore of NK-1 antagonists. As a starting material for their preparation has been used commercial methyl p-tolyl sulfone and (R)-methyl p-tolyl sulfoxide, which was synthesized from menthyl-(S)-p- toluenesulfinate by nucleophilic substitution. These compounds were subjected to reaction with ethyl 2-picolinate. From prepared β- ketosulfoxide and β-ketosulfone were obtained 2-amino-4H-pyrans by Michael addition. The derivatives proceeding from β-ketosulfoxide were subjected to reduction of the sulfoxide and trifluoroacetylation of the amine group on the carbon 2 of the pyran ring. Prepared derivatives had agonistic activity...

Kučera, Jan ; Pítra, Vladimír (advisor) ; Růžička, Michal (referee)
- 61 - 7. Resume - Patent protection of pharmaceuticals and its current problems The pharmaceutical industry nowadays plays a major role in the world's economy, having an estimated total volume of USD 740 billion and being one of the recognized key innovation sectors. The system of patent law is of major significance to the industry in that the monopoly it confers, for a limited period of time, on using innovations provides a major incentive for innovative research activities that the industry is involved in. Although the availability of patent protection for chemical and pharmaceutical products has, from a historical perspective, only been reaffirmed in the near past, it has nowadays been accepted as a global standard mainly through the provisions of the WTO's TRIPS agreement. Despite the existence of various international treaties harmonizing patent laws, patents have to date in their effects remained strictly limited to individual jurisdictions. There're several ways of how patents can be used to protect the novel, innovative and non-obvious results of pharmaceutical research; patents for end products, processes of making a product or for new medical indications can mainly be of practical use, each of these types providing a different scope of protection and offering different approaches of preventing...

Vliv sportovních odvětví s jednostranným zatížením - HOKEJ - na poškození páteře a pohybového aparátu
PEROUTKA, Michal
Abstract This bachelor thesis discusses the issue of impact of specific ice-hockey movement on the player{\crq}s locomotory system. The thesis was aimed to identify the occurrence rate of spinal damage and locomotory system function disorders in a selected set of top sportsmen. The strategy of this bachelor thesis is based on quantitative research. A standardized interview and observation methods were used for data collection. It includes clinical examination methods of aspection, palpation and testing. Photos and videos were used to obtain more accurate evaluation of some clinical examinations. The acquired data were tabulated and a positive finding rate was evaluated in percentage. The set under evaluation was created by random selection with the following criteria: - Respondent is a top ice hockey player - Respondent player{\crq}s position is defender or forward The set includes 60 members who are divided in three sections by age categories of the Rules & Regulations of the Czech Ice Hockey Association. In addition, this breakdown provides information on whether the damage rate of occurrence depends on how long the player has played the sport. The survey results confirmed a hypothesis that ice hockey contributes to spinal damage and locomotory system function disorders. This thesis should provide another piece of evidence that the player{\crq}s locomotory system is not adequately considered in the training process. It is documented that although this issue is mentioned in training methods, preventive and corrective actions with respect to inflicted locomotory system injuries are not sufficiently used in practice.
