The Novelette in the 20th century

Práce "K pojetí romaneta ve 20. století" poukazuje na specifičnost a ojedinělost romaneta v jeho původní podobě, jíž vtisknul žánru jeho tvůrce Jakub Arbes. Následně představuje ta díla významných českých autorů, která se k Arbesově odkazu hlásí, a snaží se srovnáním jednotlivých znaků a parametrů těchto děl a romanet Arbesových zjistit, zda se v případě jmenovaných děl skutečně jedná o romaneta. Díky této komparaci jsme mohli sledovat různé cesty, kterými se autoři pozdějších romanet vydali, a mohli porovnávat výsledky jejich snah. Vzhledem k tomu, že časové rozpětí zkoumaných knih bylo téměř přes celé 20. století, pojetí žánru jejich autorů se velmi lišilo. Byli jsme svědky toho, že skutečně není jednoduché navázat na originalitu a přínos romaneta a zároveň jej rozvinou nebo nějakým způsobem obohatit. U některých děl jsme byli nuceni konstatovat, že je za romaneta považovat nelze, ačkoliv měly v některých ohledech k romanetu velmi blízko. Nejmladší dílo, kterým jsme se obírali, bylo vydáno v roce 2003. To dokazuje, že zájem o romaneto stále trvá, ačkoliv je stejně vzácný jako samotný žánr. Možná z tohoto důvodu neexistuje k problematice vývoje romanet po Jakubu Arbesovi mnoho sekundární literatury. Proto doufám, že tato práce bude v tomto směru znamenat alespoň nepatrný přínos. The contemporary relevance of Paul M. Sweezy's work

This work is engaging in personality and opinions of an American neomarxistic economist Paul M. Sweezy. In the first part of my work, I am writing about the kinked demand curve, which was formulated for the first time by Paul Sweezy. Then I am dealing with Sweezy's evaluation of socialism and how he dealt with development of socialism in socialistic countries. I put the main emphasis on interpretation of economic crisis, which he considers as a normal state of capitalism. In the end I'll try to show, that Sweezy's work is relevant, when explaining the origin of some problems of today's economy.

Markéta Holubová The aim of my thesis has been to offer to a Czech reader a translation of the fundamental parts of the work, which represents one of the peaks in Hasidic literature (and was unavailable in Czech language up to this time) and to point out profundity and imaginativeness in Zalman' s work. I have tried to make the commentary a comprehensive guide to the enclosed text, taking into account religion-historic background in order to show the power and originality of Shneur Zalman's personality and to show the influence his work has had on modern Hasidism.

Role of social worker in a hospital

The diploma thesis is focused on the main activities of the social workers at the hospitals in Prague, the regional hospitals, and one former district hospital. Within the theoretical section of the abstract there are clearly defined fundamental concepts of social work in health care and its historical transformation. The chapters consist of four sections: ethics code, the quality of social work at the hospital, valid legislation, as well as interdisciplinary collaboration within the hospital. The theoretical part focuses on job description, competencies, skills or personality characteristics of the social worker in the hospital. The last section describes social work in the hospitals by different target groups with whom the social workers can come into contact. The empirical part of this diploma thesis is acquired by the semistructured interviews. The main research question tries to find out the role of the social worker at the hospital. The research targets three surveyed areas: The first examines the qualification skills of the social worker at the hospital. The second refers to the job description of the social worker at the hospital's core business activities. Jméno Ivana Slavíka jev širším čtenářském okruhu téměř neznámé. Pokud tu existuje představa o jeho díle, týká se Slavíkovy katolicky orientované poezie. Pravděpodobně je to dáno tím, že ve středoškolských porevolučních učebnicích literatury se jeho jméno objevuje pouze zřídka (v období totality jeho dílo v učebnicích reflektováno nebylo). Jeho esejistická a publicistická činnost je takřka neznámá; domnívám se, že hlavním důvodem je charakter periodik a sborníků, do nichž Slavík přispíval: většinou se jednalo o okrajové a regionální noviny (spolupráce s významnějšími periodiky, stoj ícími v centru kulturního a společenského dění, mu byla totalitním režimem znemožněna) . Cílem mé diplomové práce je zmapování Slavíkova původního ne-básnického díla: chronologické uspořádání jeho předmluv, doslovů a publicistických statí nejrůznějších žánrů a zaměření. Dílčí kapitoly práce jsou sondami do jednotlivých desetiletí, v nichž Slavík svou ne -básnickou činnost rozvíj el, počínaj e 4 O . léty. Léta 60. a 70. jsou zaměřením Slavíkovy tvorby úzce propojena; z důvodu zachování maximální soudržnosti tématu tvoří společnou kapitolu. Regulation of Advertising of Drugs - Education of Consumer

The main objective of my diploma thesis was to explain the principles and basic terms of drug policy in the Czech Republic, and to illustrate all the issues of government regulations in this area. This paper is trying to confront two different kinds of health services. The first one based on liberal principles, without any government intervention (system in USA), and the second one demarcating with regulations and restrictions, devoid of any free market fundamentals (system in EU). It describes the relationship between patient and doctor, and points out the different number of information, they dispose of. This paper is trying to explain the problem of skewed distribution of information in society. It presents how the government regulations in the free market area destroy the source allocation efficiency and goes against the satisfaction of customers' needs.

Shaping of Collective Intelligence in Cyberspace on the Example of Computer Games

The aim of the tehesis is to describe the formation of collective intelligence in cyberspace and focus on its use on the example of computer games. The idea is based on the works of Pierre Lévy, who believes that in the digital revolution is the value of the picture one of the most important. In this process plays an equally important role to increase the value of ideas, narratives, social communities and the development of new media tools and technologies. Along with that, in addition to the internal space of videogames (story progression, social interaction, building of the gaming space, gaming subculture, roleplay), shapes even the space beyond the game itself (transmedia storytelling, produsage - fan sites, content sharing, discussion forums). Thesis will be listed by concepts of collective intelligence, the progress of social memory, cyberspace and will be also inspired by other authors who works with collective intelligence, like Henry Jenkins, James Surowiecki or Derrick de Kerckhove. It should also provide an opposite view of the problem based on the work of opponents, which is eg. Cory Doctorow. Strategies and the use of the collective intelligence will be described by using the example of the specific games.

Family resemblance of Carlos Monsiváis in the context of the Mexican belles-letters

Esej je v Latinské Americe tradičním žánrem, jenž díky dlouhodobému kontinuálnímu rozvoji dosáhl nepřeberné rozmanitosti jak po stránce obsahové a formální, tak po stránce jazykového stylu, který se pohybuje od poetického přes rétoricky kultivovaný až po tvrdou kritiku nevyhýbající se ani ostřejším výrazům. To činí ještě přitažlivějším tento literární žánr, který je sám o sobě zajímavý svými protiklady a paradoxy. Velkou schopnost vzbudit zájem mají také témata, nad kterými se autoři vesejích zamýšlí, neboť se jedná převážně o problémy a otázky aktuální nebo věčné (tedy ty, které aktuální vždy), podané formou esejistického těkání myšlenek, což přispívá k jejich srozumitelnosti a přístupnosti i pro širší čtenářské vrstvy. V neposlední řadě esej není příliš svázán pravidly žánru a poskytuje tak velký manévrovací prostor: ja otevřen téměř jakémukoli tématu, od nevážného až po odborné, nevyžaduje striktně vědecké zpracování, autor naopak může použít osobitý styl i jazyk. Z širokého proudu latinskoamerické esejistiky byla v této práci vybrána díla se společensko-kulturní tematikou, neboť reflexe otázek pocházejících z této oblasti patří k primárním funkcím latinskoamerického eseje a především z potřeby jejich řešení se esej v Jižní Americe začal rozvíjet. HDR Video Plugin for Adobe Premier

Cílem práce je vytvoření podpory pro editovaní videa v HDR formátu. Pro editaci videa je zvolen program Adobe Premiere Pro a na dosažení požadovaného výsledku je vytvořen plugin do zmiňovaného softwaru, který poskytuje požadovanou funkcionalitu. V práci jsou vysvětleny principy vytváření, zobrazení a ukládáni obsahu z rozšíreným dynamickým rozsahem. Zároveň jsou vysvětleny principy vytváření pluginů pro Adobe Premiere Pro za pomoci SDK verze CS6. V praktické části této práce jsou vysvětleny detaily implementace, problémy, které byly řešené, a popis samotného pluginu. Návrh pluginů je vytvořen tak, aby byla možná další práce na tomto softwaru, přidaní další funkcionality a pro umožnění využití tohoto díla na rozvoji obsahu s rozšíreným dynamickým rozsahem.

Use of Bond Analysis during Estimating Process of Exchange Rates of Selected Securities

The diploma thesis uses theoretical knowledge from the literature sources. The diploma thesis characterizes capital market and the securities which are active on the capital market. The main theoretical part of diploma thesis is about bonds.
The practical part of diploma thesis is to analyse and compare the state bond, the bank bond and the corporate bond. All of chosen bonds are active on the Czech capital market.
The analyses of the state bond, the bank bond and the corporate bond are provides by calculating of the intrinsic value (the present value) of the bonds, of the profitability of the bonds and of the duration of the bonds. The analyses consists also from the comparing the liquidity of the bonds and their risk. The diploma thesis includes also a global fundamental analyze.
The final part of diploma thesis is comparing of the results of the analyses of the bonds and also includes the advice for the potential investor which bond is better for investing.
