Skulínek, Zdeněk ; Burget, Radim (referee) ; Přinosil, Jiří (advisor)
Recently computing power has been significantly increasing and speaker identification systems have been drawing to the foreground among others. Many libraries have been developed, no matter if open--source or proprietary. One of them is for example ALIZE that was developed at Avignon university. This library offers general concept for staff with biometric values, statistic computations and complex framework for intended application. The goal of this thesis is to test this library, namely by constructing a practical application for speaker identification. This thesis describes successful assembly of that application. Application is platform independent and it is also tested on three basic platforms. These platforms are attached as files into VirtualBox virtual machine. This thesis takes notice of practical experiences with ALIZE library and also describes it's structure and architecture. There are 50 patterns of 9 speakers used for testing in average length 20 seconds. Application recognizes speakers very reliable in these given patterns. Therefore real neccesary length test for speaker recognition was accomplished at the end of this thesis.

Compiling Planning Problems
Toropila, Daniel ; Chrpa, Lukáš (referee) ; Barták, Roman (advisor)
Constraint satisfaction techniques are used frequently for solving scheduling problems, but they are still seldom in AI planning. There exist several attempts to apply constraint satisfaction for solving AI planning problems, however, these techniques never became prevailing in planning and did not reach the success of, for example, SATbased planners. In this work we argue that the existing constraint models for classical AI planning are indeed not exploiting fully the power of constraint satisfaction and we propose their reformulation which significantly improves efficiency.

The subject of this diploma work is to analyze proposals of fiscal consolidations in the Czech Republic and their following implementation in the years of 2002 to 2012. This work is trying to answer a question whether these proposals of the fiscal consolidaions were elaborated in agreement with research conclusions in the given field and whether they were successful in the sense of reduction of a deficit of the public budgets and public debt. In the first part of this work recent empirical studies with the following recomendations in the terms of realization of a fiscal consolidation are presented. Subsequently, a theoretical background in the form of keynesian and, so called, non-keynesian (expansionary fiscal consolidation hypothesis) effects of consolidation on economy is discussed. In the second part of this work an analysis of the proposals and implementation of the fiscal consolidations in the Czech Republic are presented with an attention to the evolution of the public budgets deficits and the public debt dynamic. The work uses, so called, narrative approach which is based on a study of open public documents from the archives of the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic, Parliament of the Czech Republic and the Czech National Bank. In the conclusions of this analysis it is stated that not a single implemented fiscal consolidation was successful in the terms of a reduction of the public budgets deficits and the public debt.

Matěj Anastazia Šimáček - the personality and the work
Vlasáková, Jana ; Stejskalová, Anna (referee) ; Hrabáková, Jaroslava (advisor)
Matěj Anastazia Simacek was a distinguished Czech writer, editor and publisher at the turn of the twentieth century. He was significantly involved in the development of the Czech literary criticism and forming a new generation of young authors which later established as Czech modernism. Although he was ranked among the most eminent personages of literature and culture in general, his name is now nearly unknown. Simacek's contribution to literature comprises of poetry, prose and drama. Though, his poetry is least valued. Due to ponderous style, appropriate for prose, and social issues, his poems are scarcely readable. Social issues link all Simacek's works. It is indisputable that he achieved much greater success in the field of prose and drama. Portrayal of sugar factories, civic society and the world of art salons was chosen as the central theme of his works. Detailed realistic depiction in some of his works is a perfect example of descriptive realism. Attracting attention to the problems of the proletariat perhaps remains the only Simacek's contribution to Czech literature. Nevertheless, he still did not perceive the proletariat as a powerful social class, thus his writings were neglected even at the time of relative popularity of such themes. From our modem perspective, Simacek is a notable personality...

The application of artificial substrates for quantitative and qualitative study of macrozoobenthos.
MAČEJ, Jakub
Macrozoobenthos are aquatic invertebrates, usually bigger than approximately 2 mm, living on the bottom. The larvae of aquatic insects (mayflies, midges, caddisflies, etc.), worms, molluscs and crustaceans belong among its most important representatives. The study was performed on a pond channel of the experimental pond system of the FFPW Vodnany. The artificial substrates, made of plastic blocks from biological filters, were installed in five rows of five blocks (replications) to monitor the process of their colonization in order to evaluate their suitability for the monitoring of macrozoobenthos. At weekly intervals, one series of five artificial substrates was sampled to collect colonizing macroinvertebrates for further elaboration (determination, numbers). It was confirmed that under the conditions of a pond canal, the colonization of artificial substrates by benthic animals begins immediately during the first week of their deployment. Species diversity of macrozoobenthos, expressed in number of taxa in successive weeks afterwards was not significantly different. The results proved that artificial substrates are suitable for quantitative and qualitative monitoring of benthic macroinvertebrate assemblage.
