Adaptive frequency filter
Kříž, Petr ; Hájek, Karel (referee) ; Sedláček, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design a filter of the type low–pass of order 5th with Butterworth’s approximation in the range of over-tuning 10 – 100 kHz and if it will be possible so! achieve even higher marginal frequencies. To compare two typical representatives of the frequency filters cascading and non-cascading synthesis from the viewpoint the accuracy of an! approximation function, sensitivity to the tolerance values of components, number of the components (mainly OZ) and viability, especially the possibility of electronic over-tuning in selected frequency range. On the basis of these conditions will be chosen one design, which will be realized later. Further it will be necessary to consider the possibilities of electronic over-tuning and to choose for this over-tuning suitable component, to design user management changes of marginal frequency fm by the help of keyboard + LCD and control application on the PC. For this hardware will be programmed appropriate control software. At the end of this work will be constructed appropriate device, which fullfils requirements written above and will be subjected to the laboratory measurements that verify function of this device. The constructional details of the filter are presented in the enclosure at the end of this work. At the CD are available all materials, which were created during the master’s thesis or which are necessarily concerned.
Wheeled-drive Robot Control
Sitta, Michal ; Veselý, Miloš (referee) ; Žalud, Luděk (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to describe the electronics of autonomus outdoor robot called TIM2. TIM2 is a group project and only a part of the project is presented. First part this work is about chasses common used in robotics. Detailed description of each type of module used is described in this work. There is also described communication protocol. A controllers for front and rear axle are also described. One part of this work is measurement, it contains electronics characteristic of modules and measurement to describe quality of motor controllers. Last part of the document is about communication between modules and impact on the robot functionality in the case of failure of a module. Enclosure provides complete circuit diagrams, printed circuit boards, planting plans, lists of components for all designed modules.
Embedded system for date collection
Varga, Kamil ; Štohl, Radek (referee) ; Macho, Tomáš (advisor)
This master's thesis is describing problems of embedded systems and their development. Furthermore, the operating system GNU/Linux and it's cross-compiling is described. Hardware problems are analyzed too. Concrete solution is system which is able to boot from the USB disc and it is based on OpenWrt distribution running on Edimax BR-6104KP router. The whole solution is described the way which can lead to any general embedded system.
Universal Analyzer of Serial Buses
Gajdoš, Matúš ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
The purpose of this master’s thesis is to design and to realize the universal analyzer of serial buses. At the beginning there are described in detail specifications and properties of buses IC, SMBus, PMBus and of the UART interface. The second part is targeted especially to design and to realize the control unit, which is the main part of the whole analyzer. It provides connecting to the unknown bus, to buses IC, SMBus, PMBus and SPI and to the UART interface. The main part of the control unit is the microcontroller PIC24HJ128GP204, which partially analyses connected bus. In the next part there is created the user application for PC, which controls and sets the control unit and receives from it partially analyzed data through the USB port. These data are used for the rest of the analysis that is done by the user application. Results may be presented to user in graphical or text form. The user application provides export of results into some of image formats. Supported formats are PS, SVG, PDF, PNG and BMP. In case of the control unit is not available, the user may choose the simulator to simulate some functions that the application provides. It supports simulation of the analysis of the unknown bus and the IC bus. The user application also contains the function of the generating own signals. Signals can be created interactively by using the mouse in the graphical representation of this signal. They can be sent to the control unit and after that it applies them to output. This function is not supported in current version of the control unit software. The user application includes some items, which do not have implemented any methods and they are prepared for the future upgrading of the analyzer. It means especially user controls and components for signal conversions between any buses.
Electronically controlled active 2-nd order filter
Ševčík, Břetislav ; Petržela, Jiří (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the modern design of the control circuits for digital potentiometers and their application in analog systems. The concept of the digital control is demonstrated on the electronically controlled active 2-nd order filter and programmable oscillator. The proposed design of the active filter describes a programmable active 2-nd order filter Sallen-Key. In this circuit it is possible independently programme cut-off frequency, Q factor and type of approximation with very good accuracy. The circuits of the designed filter and designed oscillator are simulated in PSpice (OrCAD), parasite effects and effects of the real parts are studied. Properties simulated circuits are compare with experimental results. These results appreciate quality and efficiency of the digitally controlled potentiometers in dependence on variable input circuit parameters. Integral part of this project is author’s universal control program called Digipot and comunications interface for many types of digital potentiometers with I2C, SPI or Up/Down interface. It is possible to use this device for many applications. The constructional details of the filter are presented at the end of this work. The software equipment is availability on enclosed CD.
Communication with external devices by I2C bus
Prax, Jakub ; Šebesta, Jiří (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma paper deals with the data bus line I2C and a supportive demonstration tool for the subject Microprocessor technology taught at the Radioelectronics faculty. The data bus line I2C is convenient when short-distance data transmission with restricted spatial possibilities is required but high velocity of data transmission is not necessary. The tool is compiled in such a way that enables it to also perform other tasks apart from those dealing with the I2C data bus line. The data bus line in the tool is utilized for transmission of date, time, temperature, data for the D/A converter, data from and to the EEPROM memory and data to 16 bits expander.
Communication assembly for optical cableless linking
Kapuš, Martin ; Kovář, Jan (referee) ; Kolka, Zdeněk (advisor)
This Graduate Thesis is about communication module for optical wireless network. This device read data from RS232 port and two analog inputs and sends it through internet to a remote Computer. Furthermore allows voice communication between local user on module and user on remote computer. Device allows communication with standard headphones and microphone, or with Bluetooth handsfree. Basic part is microprocessor MCF5223 and Bluetooth Ezurio BISM II module. Control program has been written in C language. Printed circuit is created by EAGLE program. This device is managed via web interface and settings have been stored into EEPROM memory. Design and implementation of modules for teaching and developing applications with microcontroller Atmel AVR
LANGMAJER, Miroslav
This thesis is based on the design and production of teaching kits with expansion modules which are based on the Atmel AVR microcontroller. Kit consists of a plate containing processes and basic power modules directly on the board and expansion modules "SIMAČ". "SIMAČ" modules are virtual elements that simulate the real elements and they are commonly used in industrial automation. Because of their cost they are integrated in extension kit as programmable modules. It also contains basic theoretical information about working with ATMEL AVR microcontrollers. Expansion modules with module development board and disc which will be loaded all the schemes, programs and technical documentation for individual districts will be attached to the thesis.
