Ševčík, Michal ; Hájek, Miroslav (advisor) ; Martin, Martin (referee)
The thesis outlines the facts that the multi-use forest management and evaluation of its efficiency is a difficult, continual discipline which covers greater amount of knowledge through various fields of science. The thesis tries to prove (suggests) that the forestlands are irreplaceable in performing other functions- economic, social and environmental functions in particular. The thesis deals with effective suggestions how to value these underrated effects and to find out if their production is efficient. It also explores whether a forest manager can monitor and make decisions on the basis of implementation of environmental accounting. The application of a reporting scheme, developed by the "Global reporting initiative", should be the climax of a corporate management. Moreover, this tool offers a suitable methodic software which can be used by the management to inform stakeholders. Eventually, stakeholders can use reports to evaluate the efficiency of corporate forest management, particularly in the field of non-productive forest functions. The thesis deal with three firm to identify scope nonproduction function brings. The thesis deal with development of equation used in financial analysis or methods used for qualitative measurement, commonly used in other industries. The amount of cost and revenues assumed from research will be used for evalaution of total rate of efficiency in forest company.

Questionnaire survey among students of selected secondary forestry (vocational) schools as confrontation of ideas and possibilities in the labour market.
Miličková, Tereza ; Hrib, Michal (advisor) ; Remeš, Jiří (referee)
This diploma work is focused on the research of students, who are attending secondary forestry (vocational) schools in The Czech Republic. The main goal was to find out the characteristics of current students at these schools and their motives to start studying exactly forestry. Another aim was to analyse the situation of secondary forestry schools, especially if the number match the need of labour market. For this purpuse, a questionnary survey was carried out among the students of 5 traditional secondary forestry schools (in Trutnov, in Zlutice, in Krivoklat, in Hranice and in Pisek), who are in their 2nd or 3rd year of Forest Mechanic on vocational school or in their 3rd or 4th year of Forestry on secondary school. Totaly 215 respondents answer the questionnary. The results clearly show, that the students still come from the countryside and are interested in the field of their study. However, they have no specific idea about their future work and only several of them arrange a job before they leave the school. Moreover the number of graduates, produced every year by the schools, several times outnumbered the need of labour market. On the other hand the number of students in vocational schools, not only in forestry, is slowly increasing every year. Therefore there is a possibility, that in the future lower job in forestry would be done more often by fully qualified workers.

CENTER FOR DEAF MOTHERS BY THE INSTITUTE FOR THE CARE OF MOTHER AND CHILD
TOMÁNKOVÁ, Barbora
My Bachelor Thesis is called Centre for deaf mothers attached to the Institution for Mother and Child Care which was created as a unique project five years ago on the basis of negative experience of deaf mothers during their pregnancy and childbirth. The aim of my work was to describe the activity of the Centre for deaf mothers attached to the Institution for Mother and Child Care, care for expectant deaf mothers, methods of communication of medical staff with deaf mothers. Further, my thesis concentrated on the interest of medical staff in sign language classes, possibilities of education in the given issues and work conditions. The important goal of my work was also description of subjective feelings of deaf mothers who gave birth in the given health-care facility. My work is divided into two parts, into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part I briefly deal with division of hearing defects, communication from the general point of view, forms of communication of the deaf including communication systems, principles of communication with the deaf. In the practical part, I used methods and techniques of a qualitative research. As a technique of field data collection, I used a method of interviewing, and the technique being a semi-controlled interview with medical staff (physicians and midwives) and with deaf mothers who gave birth in the given health-care facility in the period from the formation of the Centre until the end of the year 2008. Results of the qualitative research which this thesis has produced: 1)Medical staff are insufficiently motivated on the part of the employer by attending sign language courses. 2)Medical staff think that every deaf person can read our lips. 3)According to deaf mothers who have given birth in the the Institution for Mother and Child Care (ÚPMD) in the last two years, the approach of the medical staff is the same as in other health-care facilities. 4) Medical staff do not distinguish a type of hearing impairment among deaf clients , and therefore, they choose inappropriate communication .

Krátká, Karolína ; Horák, Jiří (advisor) ; Ehrmann, Jiří (referee) ; Lata, Jan (referee) ; Martásek, Pavel (referee)
Iron is one of the important biogenic trace elements and its role in the mammalian body is indispensable. In nature there is another element with similar characteristics. Iron is part of a series of compounds that provide key functions such as cellular respiration and oxygen transport to tissues. It is also important for cell proliferation and differentiation, the regulation of gene expression and applies also in the immune system. Given that the effects of iron accumulation in genetic hemochromatosis have been investigated in detail, in recent years, increasing attention and concern about the consequences of iron accumulation also in other diseases. Because the results of previous studies are inconclusive and often mutually contradictory, the aim of this work to analyze and clarify the relationship between HFE gene mutations and iron metabolism in the pathogenesis and progression of some skin and chronic liver disease among genetic hemochromatosis.

Problems of practical teaching of nurses from the perspective of students and nurses
VLČKOVÁ, Darina
The education of nurses, as well as other non-doctor medical workers, has seen significant changes in the course of the past twenty years. In compliance with current legislation, the studies of general nurses only take place at universities and colleges these days. The schooling of nurses consists of theoretical and practical education. Both of them mingle and supplement each other during the complete course of the studies. Theoretical part consists of general as well as special subjects which are followed by practical schooling. This takes place at and ambulatory, ward, one-day and home-based sanitary facilities.Three aims of dissertation were set at the beginning of the research. First was to find about factors which influence the cooperation of students and nurses during the practical session. Second was based on finding factors with influence on nurse's conduct of the practical session. The last aim was to find about factors which motivate and de-motivate students during the practical session. For the purpose of gaining the data, two groups were established. First was the group of seven female students studying the combined form of subject field ?general nurse? at ZSF JU, all of them having received medical education before. Second was the group of nurses working at České Budějovice Hospital, Inc. For the purpose of data collection, the qualitative method of inquiring through semi-standardized interviews was chosen. The answer to the question ? what factors most often influence the cooperation of students and nurses during the practical session? ? was defined by their cooperation, chiefly by the way of their mutual conduct. This was the essential factor pervading all areas of the research. The other important factor applies to the groups of five or more female students where nurses did not have enough time for the students. The other important question was: what influences nurses' conduct of the practical session? As the main positive influence, the interest of students to learn new things as well as their dilligence was cited. The main obstacle in this process, according to nurses, is the lack of time which is devoted to students in order to teach them or show them the aspects of the profession. Demands and challenges of the profession also contribute to the factor cited above. The last but not least factor is the negative influence of large group of students being part of the same shift at the department. And the factors that motivate students during the practical session? It is obvious that the key factor is the possibility to gain information and enough capacity to perform medical actions. At the same time, the students expect helpful and accomodating personnel possessing enough time and patience which should be devoted to them. On the contrary, the factors which de-motivate students are negative attitude and conduct of nurses at departments, too many students grouped into a shift and few opportunities to perform expert medical action. All interviews suggest that improvement could be accomplished through permanent presence of mentors or expert tutors from the faculty who would have enough time for students. It is suggested that data and information from research could be used at clinical facilities for the purpose of practical sessions. The persons responsible for practical sessions could use those data and information to make the practice and cooperation more effective. Information could be used as a base for seminar for shift nurses who get in touch with students on a daily basis. Furthermore, the outputs of research could serve as recommendations for students which could lead to their improvement. Above all, the research serves as a topic for reflection and insight into both worlds.

Contribution of public libraries to children's reading development

In theoretical part we{\crq}ve reached for {\clqq}List dissimilarities in satisfying needs of buddhism confessors to health and diseases.`` In practical part we discuss reults of our research. To get data, we used technique of questionary. Content of third aim was {\clqq}Compare sister knowledge of Southbohemian and Centralbohemian region in specifications of buddhism confessor care.`` We set two hypotheses for this aim. Hypothesis no.1 considered, that nurses are able to satisfy needs of buddhist with their professionality and hypothesis no.2 considered, that nurses knowledge about care probleme in Southbohemian region is lower than in Centralbohemian region. Both hypotheses were confirmed after data processing. Pieces of knowledge from theoretical and practical part are included in the end of this work. There is also mentioned usage of work in practice {--} motivate nurses in attractive form, so they have interest to learn new informations about new cultures and ethnic communities.
