It analyses typical usage and expected benefits of BI applications used for Corporate Performance Management in order to specify applications that are suitable for implementation in the company environment. Next issue of the theoretical part deals with IS development methodology that can be used in Business Intelligence projects. According to chosen criteria and weights with regard to this project it evaluates the best methodology for this project. It will be used in the next part. Practical part reporting project is both about development issues and usage the BI application from the end user view. This example provides information about activities, which are necessary for this development from initial study to testing phase. Project scope includes analysis of the environment, analysis of used metrics, design new metrics, metrics selection and implementation on Cognos platform. This example presents analytical usage of the Metric Studio tool and dymamical reports usage from the manager's view. The final part brings together critical success factors (CSF), which appear in this project.

Utilization of quantitative methods for evaluation of products of life insurance
KULASOVÁ, Lucie
The aim of the thesis with title Utilization of quantitative methods for evaluation of products of life insurance is to choose the most advantageous offer of insurance for chosen client. Theoretical part contains basic notions from the area of Insurance Industry which help us with a better orientation in insurance agreements. Next, basic methods of polycriterial evaluation of variants are explained. In the practical part there are elaborated six offers for life insurance from different Insurance Companies for a chosen client. Client chose nineteen criteria according to which the offers were evaluated. By means of method of order, method of giving points, Fuller method and method of progressive weight arrangement were assigned weights to particular criteria. Then the order of different variants was determined. For it method of order, method of giving points, method of weighted sum and TOPSIS were used. On the basis of the results of quantitative methods we aligned offers of life insurance from the best to the worst. For the chosen client the most advantageous is the offer of the life insurance Bella Vita from the Insurance Company Generali. The main reason is high capital value, claim free bonus, insurance benefit in case of death in consequence of road accident and high benefit in case of hospitalization in consequence of injury. Nevertheless also offer of the life insurance FLEXI from the Insurance Company of Česká Spořitelna and the life insurance RYTMUS from Allianz reach excellent results and they attained leading positions while using different weights.

Impact of late effects severity of anticancer therapy on subjective quality of life of childhood cancer survivors
Blatný, Marek ; Kepák, T. ; Sobotková, Veronika ; Jelínek, Martin ; Slezáčková, Alena ; Bartošová, Kateřina ; Tóthová, K.
Psychosocial problems of patients who underwent childhood malignancy treatment are together with health problems the most severe consequences of anticancer therapy. In this study, we deal with relationship between severity of late effects and subjective quality of life of childhood cancer survivors. The sample consisted of 95 cancer survivors (47 boys and 48 girls) aged 13 to 19 who were in remission for 2 to 5 years at the time of examination. To measure quality of life we used the Minnesota-Minneapolis Quality of Life Instrument (MMQL), severity of late effects we assessed on 4-point scale in accordance with CTCAE (Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events v3.0). Severity of late effects of anticancer therapy influences negatively physical functioning, cognitive functioning, body image and social functioning. Psychological (emotional) functioning and outlook of life are not significantly impacted by severity of late effects.

STANDARDIZATION OF THE VALUATION APPROACH FOR DETERMINING THE MARKET VALUE OF EASEMENTS IN ROAD CONSTRUCTION
Sedláček, Jan ; Hela, Rudolf (referee) ; Lodr, Jiří (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
This PhD thesis analyzes the current situation in appraisals of technical infrastructure easements created by the Road and Motorway Directorate of the Czech Republic in the process of transport infrastructure development. The thesis explains the basic concepts, identifies the relevant legisla-tion and examines the appraising methods used for these easements as described in the literature. It then discusses and critically assesses, based on existing legislation and best practices, the indi-vidual appraising approaches used in expert opinions prepared for the Road and Motorway Di-rectorate of the Czech Republic. Drawing on this assessment, it makes recommendations for a standardized approach for establishing the fair market value of easements and demonstrates its application on a model example.

Analysis of inward movement of inhabitants to work in development centers and choice of means of transport
Brůha, Jiří ; Pova, Patrik (advisor) ; Říhová, Gabriela (referee)
This paper analyzes the inward movement of inhabitants to work in the development centers. These centers are cities Brno and Karlovy Vary. At first this paper describes the chosen centers Brno and Karlovy Vary and districts where the centers are placed. Then this paper describes which one means of transport is the best for inward movement to one of the centers mentioned upwards. The means of transport are described from the prize angle and the time angle. Means of transport chosen for this paper are train, bus and car. Other means of transport or combination of means of transport was not coceded. Results from this analysis show, that the selection of the best means of transport is not single valued. It is because the best means of transport from the prize angle are not in all cases the best means of transport from the time angle.

Suggest and look into possibilities of making straw briquettes for energy use.
SLÁDEK, Karel
This thesis addresses the problem of making straw briquettes. The aim is to examine the possibility of making straw briquettes directly on the field from lines arising after the passing of the combine harvester, which would save the operation of harvesting and storing straw and thus transport intensity. The basis of this work is finding straw production in the Czech Republic and its possible potential to produce briquettes. The Czech Republic is able to use for energy purposes, an average of 1.6 million t / y of straw cereals and 900 000 t / y of rape straw. Low specific density cut straw complicated transport to incinerators or to stationary lines to produce other forms of fuel. Pressing the straw bales specific density improves, but costs associated with transport are still relatively high. Because of low specific density, straw often stored in open stacks. Not all the straw, which is not used directly in agriculture, is used for combustion. There are also other industrial uses for straw, as Ecopanels (construction), paper, various ornaments and tools (for example: baskets). Most important for the production of briquettes is the moisture content of input material, which may not exceed 15%. The basis for obtaining briquettes directly in the field is appropriate combination of forage harvester and briquetting press, for example self-propelled briquetting press Biotruck 2000 is constructed from the Claas Jaguar. Forage harvester transports straw to the briquetting press, during transport is straw dried because of the heat from powerful engine. To briquetting is used several types of presses that are described in this thesis. The best quality briquettes are formed on the principle of screw press. The last two parts of the thesis are dealing with proposal the technological line for production of briquettes from straw directly on the field. There are described here used machines, their cost, performance and energy efficiency in those parts of the thesis. In the proposed procedure is a dry indoor storage of briquettes.

Politika podpory obnovitelných zdrojů energie
Malý, Jan ; Jílková, Jiřina (advisor) ; Vojáček, Ondřej (referee)
Renewable energy sources support policy employs a great variety of economic tools in order to promote the use of green energy. Following thesis at first offers an overview and economic insight into the most applied ones. Since the majority of the European Union Member States nowadays prefer so-called feed-in tariffs schemes we proceed in-depth analysis of effectiveness of that instrument in electricity sector in four selected European countries Austria, Czech Republic, Germany and Spain. An effectiveness indicator which compares marginal electricity generation potential with additional realizable potential of particular renewable energy sources technology is used for that analysis. The results clearly show that the best practice of feed-in tariff design is pursued in Germany where the special set of tariff design and adjustment measures is applied.
