Trade Policy of Brazil

The thesis examines the trade policy of Brazil and its impact on the international position and trade of the country. Despite having come to the fore of interest of the whole world, both political and business, there are still numerous areas to be improved. The thesis evaluates trade policy tools used by the country to promote exports and limit imports, integration efforts in the region and in the world, and the effects of particular government provisions on the reality of the trade relations and results. The analysis points out structural and systemic failures together with deliberate barriers, such as high level of bureaucracy or complicated tax system. Although Brazil promotes free trade, its trade policy proved to be highly anti-import.
The position of inland water transportation in the international trade

The inland water navigation plays an important role in terms of transportation, although through time it was outperformed by the means of transport associated rather with roads or railways. This paper analyses the position of inland water transportation in the international trade, focused mainly on the European Union. The paper itself is divided into six parts. First three chapters follow the river navigation through the history and the changes in its position in the international trade, the types of classification of goods and also the vision of the European Union about the way the inland water transportation may develop in the future. The aim of chapter four is to focus on volumes and types of goods transported internationally within the European Union. The way the Czech Republic takes part in this transportation is also characterized there. The fifth chapter describes the benefits and drawbacks this particular means of transport brings. The last, sixth chapter aims at the subjects active in the field of inland water navigation in the Czech Republic and the problems they are to overcome.
Marketingová strategie firmy ADIDAS na vybraných zahraničních trzích

The bachelor thesis deals with the marketing strategy of the company adidas on the global level and with its adaptation to the Czech, North American and Chinese markets. An analysis is carried out to present the competition on the Czech sporting goods market and the SWOT analysis of adidas. The theory of marketing mix is compared with the practices of the Czech adidas subsidiary. The customer perception of the new marketing campaign is assessed on the basis of a questionnaire research.
International marketing strategy

The aim of the thesis is to analyse selected important issues caused by expansion of Internet during past years and its implications in increased usage by companies. The goal is to describe possible framework for performing sufficient analysis of the company and to define and create international marketing strategy using concrete example of company from the pet industry.

The most important transport documents in each type of transport (road, ocean and river, railway and air) are introduced. A separate chapter is dedicated to combined transport. The most important international agreements concerning international transport are mentioned.
Analysis of the training process in the international business

The thesis examines the issue of training and development from a theoretical point of view, then from a practical point of view in two selected international companies (operating in the fields of banking and logistics). The thesis also discusses a problems of European structural funds, especially the request for education projects of an Operational program of the CR "Lidske zdroje a zamestnanost". The theoretical part describes the phases of the educational process: the identification of training needs, education planning, implementation phase and is greatly accentuated phase measurement and monitoring of the effectiveness of training. This work examines new trends in education and development of employees in 2010. The practical part of the bank monitors and evaluates the process of systematic training and use of competency models, practical part in the logistics proposes educational activities under conditions of low input costs - notably through training internal trainers.
Adaptation of the Jacoby Company marketing strategy on the Czech market

Despite the negative effect of the global financial crisis the Czech market with organic food is growing rapidly. In the past ten years the consumption of organic food increases as well as its product line. The label bio covers almost every kind of food. There has been also an increase in awareness concerning the organic food and people start asking questions about the origin of the food. Organic food is no more the issue of a narrow group of consumers, but it is going mainstream now. The main goal of this thesis is to analyse the specificities of Czech market with organic food which will help the Jacoby Company to adapt its marketing strategy on Czech market with organic food and beverages. The main tools of the thesis are the research of the purchase behaviour of Czech customers and the research of competitive organic beverages in the main retail chaos in Czech republic.
International Accounting Standards in the banking

The work deals with international accounting standards and defines the standards governing the particular accounting and reporting banks. I wanted to give as faithful picture of the situation in the banking sector after the introduction of International Accounting Standards. I came to the individual effects, I disassembled one of the most important standards and outlined their positives and negatives. In conclusion of my work I assess the current situation of banks and possible future developments of financial reporting.
The Role of the United States in International trade

In my work I am focusing on the role of the United States of America in International trade. In the first chapter I deal with the history of the foreign policy of the USA. In the second chapter I describe the basics principles of the trade agreements between the United States of America and other countries or group of countries. The third chapter is devoted to trade relationships between the USA and the main business partners -- the European Union, the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation and Mercosur. The last chapter characterized the role of the USA in the 21st century.
