Leopold Berchtold - an aristocrat in exile (1918-1930)
POKORNÝ, Pavel
Annotation Bachelor{\crq}s thesis Leopold Berchtold {--} an aristocrat in exile (1918-1930) dissertates about the personality of the former Austro-Hungarian Foreign Office{\crq}s minister, grand Chamberlain of the last Austro-Hungarian emperor and uncrowned Czech king Charles I., and the important member of the imperial court in Vienna. In the example of count Berchtold the aim of the work was to demonstrate the deal of exile nobility, which was forced to be adapted to new demands and trends of the society in the transformation of social systems and its climate as well. After the year of 1918 it was divided into three parts. One part was formed by the aristocracy engaged in the interests of the monarchy against the newly creating low-born social tops of succession states in the transformation of the social system. The second one was decided to keep its estates in newly established republican systems accommodating and getting rid of the noble essence. The last part of the nobility, according to the new legislation of succession states, was not guilty as a matter of form, though was not able to conciliate with the republican government and left Czechoslovakia voluntarily. Leopold Berchtold ranged into the first class of ``enemies of Czechoslovakia{\crqq} on the basis of the Act of abolishing the nobility n. 61. Sb., from 10. December 1918, finally confirmed in § 9 of the Act of seizing n. 215/1919 Sb., was forced to go into exile and the sequestration was imposed on his property. He spent the whole following period 1918 - 1945 first in Switzerland and after receiving an exit permit he was travelling around Europe. During his ``Ulysses{\crq} pilgrimage{\crqq}, as he noted, he strove narrowly to reach for the cancellation of the restraint for his individual and to get Czechoslovakian citizenship together with its passport. Considering to the extensive resources base {--} correspondence with the oldest son Alois, saved in MZA Brno {--} this thesis charted the life of the count since the year of 1918 until 1930.

Leisure Time Physical Activities of Pupils from 6th and 9th Class in Náchod and its Neighbourhood
Šrůtková, Monika ; Slepičková, Irena (advisor) ; Hendl, Jan (referee)
Souhrn: Záměrem práce bylo analyzovat místo pohybových aktivit u žáků 6. a 9. tříd ZŠ z Náchoda a okolních vesnic, zjistit geografickou a ekonomickou podmíněnost. Název diplomové práce: Pohybové aktivity ve volném čase žáků 6. a 9. tříd ZŠ v Náchodě a okolí The title of the diploma work: Leisure time Physical activities of pupels' from 6th and 9 th class in Náchod and its neighbourhood Cíl práce: Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit místo pohybových aktivit ve volném čase a jejich ekonomickou a geografickou podmíněnost. Metodologie: Pro průzkum JSme použili metodu sociologického šetření formou nestandardizovaného, strukturovaného dotazníku. Dotazníky obdrželi žáci 6. a 9. tříd ZŠ. Výsledky práce: Podle zjištěných výsledků lze usuzovat, že vesnické děti mají k sportování blíž, i přestože pro organizované pohybové aktivity mají složitější podmínky. Městské děti raději posedávají v parku s kamarády, u televize nebo u monitoru počítače. Ve způsobu trávení volného času žáků 6. a 9. tříd nejsou velké rozdíly, z pohybových aktivit preferují pěší turistiku, cyklistiku, míčové hry a plavání. U většiny dětí nemá ekonomická situace rodiny vliv na zájmy dětí. Klíčová slova: pohybová aktivita, volný čas, základní škola, dotazník, Náchodsko

HLA Class II Antigens as a Main Predisposition Factor for Autoimmune Diabetes Mellitus.
Zikmundová, Veronika ; Holáň, Vladimír (referee) ; Černá, Marie (advisor)
Autoimmune diabetes (type 1 diabetes, T1D) is a multifactorial disease, where the immune system reacts against pancreatic β-cells of Langerhans islets. Their progressive destruction causes insufficient function of insulin for the organism and production of autoantibodies. These antibodies serve as markers of autoimmune insulitis even before the manifestation of the disease. T1D is triggered by environmental factors in genetically predisposed individuals. Genetic susceptibility mainly relates to HLA genes, which cause about 50 % of familiar occurences. The most risk factors are HLA-DR3, HLA-DR4 and HLA-DQ8 antigens. Their aminoacidic structure determines which peptides would bind to individual antigens and how firmly. However, these antigens do not function separately. They are in tight linkage disequilibrium and it is therefore not possible to determine the individual function of each of them in autoimmune process unambiguously. Environmental factors can have protective effect on individuals (e.g. vitamin D), but they can have predisposition effect for autoimmunity as well. The most discussed trigger mechanisms are viral infections (specifically Coxsackie B4 virus) and premature exposure of newborns to cow-milk.

Steel structure of airport hangar
Kuba, Michal ; Balázs, Ivan (referee) ; Pešek, Ondřej (advisor)
The aim of this work is design and assessment of the steel roof structure of a airport hangar for sports aircrafts in Zlín. Ground plan dimensions are 36 x 78 m. The main supporting system is composed of truss girders. On the one side the truss girders are pinned on column, on the other side they are pinned into foundation. The truss girders are arc-shaped, with structural height 1,5 m. Distance between main structures are 6 m. Construction is designed as system without purlins. Bars of the steel structure are from rolled profiles and are designed according to current standards. Supporting elements are designed from steel of class S 355 and S 460.

The aspects of labour class housing on the example of Ostrava and Zlin
Svozilová, Barbora ; Matějů, Martin (referee) ; Czumalo, Vladimír (advisor)
The aim of this paper is to describe the housing situation of working c1ass during the transition from the society based on traditional values to the modem society of the twentieth century. Through the comparison of the housing facilities built to accomodate working c1ass people from Ostrava and Zlín, we can discover some important similarities and differences connected with approaches of the municipalities of these two settlements. Both of them chose the option to house working c1ass people on a mas s scale, but the results of their decisions ended up in two different urban formations. The examples of Ostrava and Zlín are analyzed from the interdisciplinary point of view (history, architecture, sociology and cultural studies) which provides an useful analytical tool to describe some interesting parallels and differences which emerged during their rapid development. The circumstances of their industrial boom substantially intluenced the structure and proportions of these places. The prevailing industrial character of the production was the most itluential factor which formed two unique uban areas. The text points out the key characteristic and urban features of Ostrava and Zlín and their working c1ass settlements. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Algorithms for intersection graphs
Štěrba, David ; Fiala, Jiří (advisor) ; Pangrác, Ondřej (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to show techniques of solving the maximum independent set problem on intersection graphs of disks in the plane. An intersection graph is a graph whose vertices are represented by disks and two vertices are adjacent if and only if the corresponding disks have non-empty intersection. The main section of the paper is dedicated to the approximation algorithms and heuristics (grid shifting, forbidden subgraph, bounded neighborhood of a vertex). We will give an overview of disk graph classes (general and unit disk graphs, graphs with bounded radius of disks). These classes are studied and used to model practical problems. We will briefly describe some of these applications (map labelling, facility placement). A program demonstrating several algorithms and heuristics is enclosed with this work.

Spectroscopy of B[e] star FS CMa
Kříček, Radek ; Korčáková, Daniela (advisor) ; Krtička, Jiří (referee)
B[e] stars are a peculiar group of stars with forbidden emission lines in their spectra. This phenomenon is commonly ascribed as a result of a large shell around the star. FS Canis Majoris (FS CMa) became a prototype of one group of these stars because it was intensively studied in the past. However, in the case of this class of objects current theoretical models of the stellar evolution of a single star are not able to produce such huge amount of circumstellar matter, even if the stellar wind and rapid rotation are included into the calculations. We analysed and rectified some already reduced spectra obtained from 2005 to 2011 at the Astronomical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Ondřejov and at SAAO observatory. Then we focused on the study of short- and long-term time variations of spectral lines in the stellar spectra, measured equivalents widths and radial velocities of the chosen spectral lines and discussed some achieved findings. Especially the short-term time variations of some spectral lines show dynamic processes of the inner star shell.
