Isotope hydrogeology and geothermal applications to clarify the origin, the sustainability and the character of groundwater flow: Bohemian and Aquitaine sedimentary basins
Jiráková, Hana ; Hrkal, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Rapantová, Naďa (referee) ; Michelot, Jean-Luc (referee)
Isotopic investigations combined with geothermal applications represent powerful tools for the exploration of groundwater potential as a drinking or geothermal resource. This Ph.D. Thesis combines both approaches, environmental and radioactive isotopes together with temperature data in deep aquifers, in order to enrich and update the knowledge concerning the aquifer recharge processes in the Aquitaine Basin (France) and the aquifer recharge processes and geothermal potential in the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin (Czech Republic). Stable isotopes (18 O, 2 H, 13 C) combined with radioisotope data (14 C, 3 H) are used to estimate the recharge timing and climatic conditions prevailing during the infiltration from the Late Pleistocene up to modern time. The character of groundwater recharge and regime are necessary to generate relevant source data for the accurate modelling of complex groundwater systems. Three groups of groundwater recharge types can be distinguished throughout Europe - (i) continuous recharge and (ii) interrupted recharge during Last Glacial Maximum and (iii) a group corresponding to particular recharge conditions. The contrasted geographic and climate conditions at both study sites in France and the Czech Republic have entailed a great heterogeneity of the recharge conditions and...

The policy of the parliamentary parties in the Federal Republic of Germany towards the countries of the Eastern Bloc within the years 1963-1966
Matějů, Petra ; Nigrin, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kunštát, Miroslav (referee)
The thesis "The policy of the parliamentary parties in the Federal Republic of Germany towards the countries of the Eastern Bloc within the years 1963-1966" studies the policy of the parliamentary parties in the Federal Republic of Germany - CDU/CSU (Christian Democratic Union of Germany and Christian Social Union of Bavaria), FDP (Free Democratic Party) and SPD (Social Democratic Party of Germany) - towards the countries of the Eastern Bloc during the Federal Cabinet of Ludwig Erhard between the years 1963-1966. The thesis hypothesizes that a significant shift in the approach to the German question and Ostpolitik occurred in all the parliamentary parties in the FRG during the years 1963-1966. This hypothesis is tested by means of a detailed chronological description and analysis of the progress of the policies and a comparative analysis of the parties' policies towards the Soviet Union, the German Democratic Republic and other communist states of Eastern Europe. The thesis is focused on both the official policy of the Federal Cabinet and the policies of all the parliamentary parties and also on the opinions of the parties' individual members. Furthermore, it shows the process of shaping of collective opinions which react to changes in the world politics and home affairs. The analysis is put into...

Title: Determination energy costingness and means of it's cover in complex outdoor performance in special physical training Objektive of work: Objektive of this work was to found the level of the stress and it's energetic severity of the Komplex drill in Special physical education as a komplex and so the each Themis, which are in the Komplex drill contained. Consequently energy costingness compare with options of energy cover which are availiable for soldiers of Czech army Metod: Master thesis was processed as a empiric kvantitative research with method of shared watching proband in the Komplex drill in nature. In the first part of the thesis there was found the level of the minute lungs ventilation with the spiroergometric test. In the second part there was a observation with seven participants of the Komplex drill. After that we did analysis of all possibilities which have soldiers of Czech army availiable. Results: There was the observation of the heart beat frequence, in duration 27 hours. The highest depletion of the energy was observed in theme of the movements in the nature, concretely in orienteering run. Average heart beat frequence was 161 beats per minute. The lowest heart beat frequence in the themes of the Special physical education was observed in surfoval drills where it was 105...

Analysis of real convergence of selected new member countries of the Eurozone
Polakovič, Martin ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Misic, Viktorija (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the problem of real convergence of new member countries of the Eurozone. Development in recent years in Europe has clearly shown that monetary union is suitable only for homogenous group of countries. The main aim of the thesis is to analyze the progress of convergence in Slovakia, Slovenia and Estonia after the year 2000 and answer the question which country was best prepared to join the monetary union. Used method of investigation is analysis of historical time series and regression analysis. Main conclusion of the thesis is that highest level of convergence was achieved in Slovenia, but the country with lowest cost of joining Eurozone was Estonia. In final part of the thesis is presented own forecast of future development of real convergence until the year 2030. Theoretical background of the prognosis is based on Solow's growth model and resulting theory of convergence.

The Withdraval of Soviet troops from territory of Germany, Czechoslovakia and Poland
Kosová, Jana ; Litera, Bohuslav (advisor) ; Vykoukal, Jiří (referee)
The partial withdrawal of Soviet troops from Central Europe was a part of the process of reconstruction of the Soviet Union which was begun by the reforms of Mikhail Gorbachev. The Soviet Union in the second half of the 1980's took the decision to reduce the number of its military troops positioned outside the territory of the Soviet Union. However, the reduction did not automatically account to a complete withdrawal of Soviet troops. This dissertation is pursuing the withdrawal of the Soviet army from the territory of Germany, Czechoslovakia and Poland in the years 1989 - 1994. The change of regimes in the respective states led to the fact that the matter of Soviet troop withdrawal was a bilateral and multilateral affair rather than a unilateral act of the Soviet Union. This dissertation presents a unique comparison of the withdrawal of Soviet military units from three former satellites of the Soviet Union. It clarifies the reasons of their stay on these territories. It shows the negotiation process of each of the afore mentioned states with Moscow, and observes the coinciding arguments used by the Soviet negotiators and their counterparts. It describes the events surrounding the threat of interrupting the Soviet troop withdrawal. It compares the duration of the transfer of the Soviet army from...

Nurishment and Free Time of Elementary School Children as Determinants of Children's Obesity
Přívětivá, Gabriela ; Marádová, Eva (advisor) ; Vodáková, Jitka (referee)
The Czech Republic is a leader in the prevalence of obesity in Europe. The cases of obesity are increasing by 10 to 40% every ten years. In the cases of children, for the last 10-25 years, obesity has increased by nearly three times. More and more children are obese mainly because of a lack of physical activity. Statistically i tis proven that every fifth child is overweight between the ages of six and twelve . Ten percent of that number is overweight, while the remaining ten percent is actually obese. This thesis reflects on the contemporary state of obesity, eating habits and the spending of free time at chosen elementary schools in Prague. In the sample of pupils in the fifth grade , there were proven predispositions to reflect an inbalance betweeen the input and output of energy. However, this inbalance is connected with bad eating habits and the passive spending of free time. A suggested project should interfere with the behaviour of pupils and lead to a change of lifestyle.
