Česká republika se řadí najedno z předních míst v prevalenci obezity v Evropě. Ta se zvyšuje v populaci každých 10 let o 10-40%. U dětí je výskyt obezity za posledních 10-25 let téměř trojnásobný. Čím dál více dětí je obézních převážně díky nízké pohybové aktivitě. Statisticky je dokázáno, že nadměrnou hmotností trpí každé páté dítě ve věku 6 - 12 let - 10% má nadváhu a 10% je obézních. Diplomová práce reflektuje současný stav výskytu obezity, stravovacích návyků a trávení volného času na vybraných pražských základních školách. Na vzorku žáků 5. tříd byly potvrzeny předpoklady nerovnováhy v příjmu a výdeji energie a s tím spojené špatné stravovací návyky a převážně pasivní trávení volného času. Navržený projekt by měl ovlivnit chování žáků a vést ke změně jejich životního stylu. The cases of obesity are increasing by 10 to 40% every ten years. In the cases of children, for the last 10-25 years, obesity has increased by nearly three times. More and more children are obese mainly because of a lack of physical activity. Statistically i tis proven that every fifth child is overweight between the ages of six and twelve . Ten percent of that number is overweight, while the remaining ten percent is actually obese. This thesis reflects on the contemporary state of obesity, eating habits and the spending of free time at chosen elementary schools in Prague. In the sample of pupils in the fifth grade , there were proven predispositions to reflect an inbalance betweeen the input and output of energy. However, this inbalance is connected with bad eating habits and the passive spending of free time. A suggested project should interfere with the behaviour of pupils and lead to a change of lifestyle.
