Vokurková, Lucie ; Šťastný, Daniel (advisor) ; Chytil, Zdeněk (referee)
The relationship between foreign aid and economic growth has been the subject of many debates: it augments the growth of countries with good policy environment, in countries with a higher proportion of bilateral aid over multilateral, outside the tropics or just simply with diminishing returns to aid. With the expansion of testing previous studies there is shown that generally aid in all likelihood increases the growth rate. The primary aim of thesis is to find noneconomic or nonpolitical aspects that cause difference in aid efficiency in developing countries. There is statistical significance of synergy effect of cross -- country regression with panel data of 450 observations in time period 1981-2010. It is supported by interaction term of received aid and indicators of specific institutional environment of particular states of Sub-Saharan Africa and it is conditioned on following: foreign aid increases economic growth in religion unity states and out of coastal states.

Solilová, Veronika
International tax issues already have not been problems of narrow circle of multinational enterprises. The effect of globalization and international business development causes that many small and medium size firms are now engaged in cross-border transactions and have to face international tax issues. One of the important area of international taxes is transfer pricing. Transfer price is a price set by a taxpayer when selling to, buying from, or sharing resources with a related (associated) person. The transactions between these persons should be assessed at their arm's length price in according the arm's length principle (internationally accepted standard) as the price which would have been agreed between unrelated parties in free market conditions. This thesis focuses on the issue of the transfer pricing that multinational enterprises use to move their tax base to the countries with lower or no tax. The aim of this thesis is based on the analysis of transfer pricing regulations in individual EU member states to propose a new approach or any recommendations for the czech tax policy in the field of transfer pricing. In addition the gained practical knowledge applied to selected case studies.

Realistic model of the resistance of systemic blodd circuit
Leitermann, D. ; Pražák, Josef ; Musil, Jan
The next model of systemic resistance was suggested in accordance with the two preconditions. The first one was the ratio of aorta´s and capillaries´ cross-sectional area, i.e. the capillary´s one being larger than the aorta´s one, which fact would be ough for our study.

Frequency measurement
Milota, Martin ; Havlíková, Marie (referee) ; Čejka, Miloslav (advisor)
The topic of my dissertation is to verify the autocorrelation method for determining changes in frequency and other design software tools for measuring frequency. In my work I use outside the above-mentioned autocorrelation methods, Zero-crossing. The output is compared with the commercially designed software used and evaluate the results in terms of measurement uncertainties.

The Analysis of How the Education Achieved by Parents Influences the Lenght of Their Children's Studies
Dočekalová, Veronika ; Bíza Bisová, Sára (advisor) ; Brožová, Dagmar (referee)
The thesis analysis how the education achieved by parents affects the education achieved by their children. The least square method is used for the regression analysis. All the estimations are based on the survey-acquired data from Prague and Pilsen. Alongside the estimations for these two cities alone, the influence in all dataset is examined as well. The cross-sectional data were acquired throughout the first quarter of 2014. The certain influence of both mother's and father's education on the education of their descendants was demonstrated by the analysis. Other significant factors influencing acquired education turned out to be for instance a number of siblings or divorce in a family.

Heading: Injuries during doing winter sports on the ski slopes in the Czech Republic Objectives: The main objective of the diploma theses was to determine the incidence of accidents in the Czech mountains during the winter seasons from 2000 - 2001 to 2009 - 2010. Methods: We focused on gathering data and information regarding the number of injuries on the ski slopes. The main source of information was the database of Mountain Rescue Service of the Czech Republic that provided us with sets of injuries that happened during skiing and snowboarding within the winter seasons 2000 - 2010. Results: The results of this diploma thesis were statistics of injuries that happened during doing the winter sports for the years 2000 - 2010 and their processing. Lectures of information literacy in education of history at Dvořákovo gymnázium in Kralupy nad Vltavou
Řihák, Jakub ; Římanová, Radka (advisor) ; Vášová, Lidmila (referee)
This thesis deals with a concept of information literacy lectures applied to the project-based teaching of history at Dvořákovo gymnázium in Kralupy nad Vltavou. In this thesis are presented and further developed the information literacy requirements for high school students, specified in the "Educational program framework for High schools" (27). These requirements are further developed, based on the information literacy standards published in the USA and the UK. On this basis is formulated a concept of information literacy teaching instructions. This concept results in the formulation of information literacy lessons curriculum and their implementation in the history lessons through project-based teaching method. The whole concept was tested in practice. However, in this thesis is also mentioned the possibility of teaching information literacy in a way of a separate workshop, connected with other school subjects. This method seems to be more suitable, because it allows the inclusion of a wider range of subjects into the workshop's curriculum.

Set-off Defence in International Commercial Arbitration
Hock, Branislav ; Dobiáš, Petr (advisor) ; Brodec, Jan (referee)
Set-off is meant to be one of the most important defences in arbitration proceedings. About 15 - 20 per cent of all international arbitrations involve set-off defence. There is not much dispute about the possibility to virtually extinguish mutual claims of the parties however national concepts of set-off differ dramatically. Moreover, in contrast to most other legal mechanisms set-off is always formed by no less than two obligations. These obligations may be regarded differently and be subject to different laws which can lead to a series of difficult questions regarding not only choice-of-law but also judicial competence. The centrum of the controversy lays in the situation when the defendant raises his cross-claim, which falls outside the scope of an arbitration agreement, to be mutually offset. Arbitrators can be in a very difficult position as they have to find, in the absence of any clear rule, reasonable limits of the adjudication of set-off. This work aims to find out what should be the limits of the adjudication of set-off with the cross-claim over which the tribunal normally wouldn't be competent to decide. There is offered a legal framework with a set of good practices which should be followed in order to strengthen legal certainty, procedural efficiency and effective functioning of...

Výpočetní aspekty návrhu regulátoru a vyčíslení kvality
Novák, Miroslav
This work contributes to the activity in the Department of Adaptive Systems in Institute of Information Theory and Automation, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic to develop a complete design algorithm for advanced controllers such as the LQG one and put them through to real applications. The task of controller tuning is to transform the user specified requirements into the values of the tuning parameters. The system knowledge is incomplete. The Bayesian estimation delivers the parameters not as known numbers but as their probability density function. The important contribution of this work is extending the tuning to the multiple input multiple output (MIMO) controllers, where multiple constraints on particular quantities are considered simultaneously.
