Errors and corrections of atmospheric precipitations measurements

The thesis approaches the problem of systematic errors that arise in measuring precipitation. These errors lead to underestimation of total rainfall. Size of losses can reach in our latitudes even tens of percent. The systematic errors that contribute most to the underestimation include losses caused by the rain gauge walls wetting, evaporation losses and losses due to aerodynamic effects on the rain gauge precipitation particles. A major section of the thesis is formed by background research, which deals with the issue of systematic measurement errors precipitation. The background research tackles the lack of literature on this topic in the Czech Republic. In the research section of the thesis, two existing correction methods for estimating the size of systematic errors for the Czechoslovak manual rain gauge Metra (method developed in the 80's by Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute and the method described by the dissertation thesis Radoslav Tihlárik) were applied to data of selected four stations in the Czech Republic (Milešovka, Bedřichov - Přehrada, Čáslav - Nové Město and Svratouch) . The dynamics of participation in leisure time activities by soldiers on foreign missions in dependence on their current mental states

3 Summary The deployment of soldiers on foreign missions can be accompanied by both mental and physical strain. Consequently, it is necessary to search for alternative ways of preventing any adverse phenomena and keeping the soldiers in a good mental and physical form. The possible action seems to be the creating of such conditions on military bases that would match soldiers' existing standards of living and ensure sufficient number of motion and leisure time activities. On the use of German articles in nominal and prepositional groups

The presented study "On the Use of German Articles in Nominal and Prepositional Groups" is devided into two parts. The first part starts with a description of German articles with their morphosyntactic characteristics. The most attention is paid to the functions of the articles in German language. The Use of the articles is presented in groups in dependence to their functions - the determination, the grammatical, stylistic and communicative function. In the practical part follows a statistical analysis of the interaction of the Determination, stylistic and communicative function by the use of articles in nominal and prepositional groups with abstract nouns Explosion, Überfall and Anschlag. The results of this analysis show relations between the informational structure of a phrase and the neutralisation of the identification of an appositional attribute and further also the effects of the stylistic function in communicative important role in the phrase.

EU energy politics- current situation and an outlook for the future

I am trying to express my own concept of the solution to the European energy dependance, which has been constantly growing for several years. While analyzing the main resources of energy available at the time, I've come to a conclusion that nuclear energy and renewable resources tend to be the most proper sources of energy in order to stop or even decrease the energy dependance rate of the EU. After analyzing the economic use and possible capacities of the proposed resources, it has occured to me that even their further implementation would lead to a decline in above mentioned energy dependance rate of EU. At the same time, it would consequently reduce the prices of the energy in the European Union, not mentioning the ecological profits of such resources.

The purpose of my Diploma Thesis is to lay out the philosophy of the internet and searching in fulltext locators and apply it to analysed environment of the insurance which is presented on the internet. Search Engine Optimization is nowadays the one faced with the activities of online marketing. Many of the views, opinions and qualitative contrasts meet and reach still bigger or smaller achievements in relation to developing locators. Diploma Thesis suggests at the fact, that conditions according to the locator decides, are changing, but the philosophy is still left. In this case and reason, the work proves efficiency of the activities by various case studies, which follow the philosophy and do not look just at the technical side of SEO.

The Results Processing of Students in the Course 6MI111 - Mathematics for Economists

The work solves the statistical treatment of results of students in the course "Mathematics for economists". For this purpose it uses mainly the methods of descriptive statistics and the analysis of dependencies. The main part of the work examines the possible link between the results of individual sub-tests of the subject and gender, type of secondary school and the teacher who led the student. It continues with a similar analysis of the overall evaluation of students in the subject. Another part of work is also an enclosure describing the statistical methods used in data processing.

Legal Status of Members of the European Parliament

Postavení poslanců Evropského parlamentu je do značné míry specifické. Je upraveno komunitárním právem, které však nechává členským státům značný prostor pro přizpůsobení některých aspektů mandátu poslance Evropského parlamentu národním zvláštnostem. Toto řešení není zcela ideální, neboť přináší do parlamentního sboru odlišné podmínky v závislosti na stát, ve kterém byli poslanci zvoleni. Problematickým se jeví stanovení odlišných podmínek práva volit a být volen, stanovení neslučitelnosti funkcí, výsad a imunit poslanců, otázka zániku mandátu, stanovení procedury pro nástupnictví náhradníků a v neposlední řadě i finančních záležitostí. Právní roztříštěnost co do formy a rozsahu právní úpravy je pro postavení poslanců jevem téměř symbolickým.

Práce se zabývá výkonností, efektivností FreeNetů (resp. PilsFree). Občanské sdružení PilsFree je komunitní počítačová síť působící v Plzni a jejím okolí poskytující Internet. Práce porovnává kvality Internetu poskytovaný komerčními poskytovateli a PilsFree pomocí metod nákladově užitkové analýzy. Dále se věnuje výkonnosti Internetu poskytovaný Prahou 5. V poslední části porovnávám nákladovost na zřízení koncového bodu v závislosti na technologii.

Biodiversity of small terrestrial mammals on meadows with different management and water regime in Třeboňsko area

The thesis builds on previous work comparing biodiversity of small terrestrial mammals at four localities with different management. The thesis significantly extends the previous work. The theoretical part consists of a literature search on the issue of the occurrence of small mammals in an area around the town Třeboň, their microhabitat preferences and the impact of farming on biodiversity of their communities. The practical part describes the species composition of small terrestrial mammals? communities and changes of their abundance and biomass during the three growing seasons, depending on the climatic characteristics of the locality. It includes evaluation of the results of the regular catches in traps (CMR method), which were realized from June to September between 2009 and 2011 (three catches once a year) at four sites with different management: Mokré louky - non mowed, Mokré louky - mowed, Cirkvičný meadow and a pasture (meadow) Jeţek. A total there were 553 individuals of small terrestrial mammals caught and we noted nine species: Microtus arvalis, Microtus. agrestis, Micromys minutus, Apodemus sylvaticus, Sorex araneus, Sorex minutus, Neomys anomalus, Neomys fodiens, Crocidura suaveolens and Apodemus sylvaticus. Various characters of biotopes provide differently suitable conditions for the establishment of populations according to their habitat requirements. The predominant species in Mokré louky mowed and non-mowed was Microtus agrestis and in the Cirkvičný meadow and Jeţek it was Microtus arvalis. The highest abundance and diversity were recorded in Mokré louky mowed and non-mowed. The highest biomass was recorded in 2009 and 2010 in summer, when temperatures were highest. In 2011, there was the highest biomass in the spring, probably because the previous winter was very warm. The highest Simpson's index of species diversity was in Mokré louky mowed in 2010. The relative abundance was highest of Microtus agrestis, Apodemus sylvaticus and Sorex araneus, alternately in Mokré louky mowed and non-mowed. Microtus arvalis had the highest abundance for all three years in the Cirkvičný meadow. The probability of capture during capture was always increasing, reaching 100%, as in the Microtus arvalis, Microtus agrestis, as well Apodemus sylvaticus. The highest probability of re-capture was at Apodemus sylvaticus, where 33% of the second day and 43% of the third day. The results presented in the thesis contributed to the project NPV 2B06023 MŠMT.
