Consequences of blackouts on agricultural farms of South Bohemia
PARLÁSKOVÁ, Lucie
Electrical energy plays an indispensable role in our contemporary society. However, we mostly realize its position in agriculture in a situation which often already entails irreversible consequences. Therefore, the thesis aims to assess the consequences of power blackout on agricultural farming. In connection with the selected objective, a question arises whether long-term power blackouts also constitute a serious threat to agricultural farms of South Bohemia? The theoretical part briefly describes electrical energy, its production and method of transmission. It also includes basic elements of the power system including its stability and safety. The chapter also acquaints the reader with the critical infrastructure of the Czech Republic and its legislative base. Then, it globally analyzes the term blackout.Given the topic of the thesis, it is necessary to mention the valuable work of the integrated rescue system which in addition to the basic obligations to ensure the protection of human life and property is required to provide missions to rescue animals in emergency situations. Finally, this chapter deals with the application of electrical energy in agriculture, including the characteristics of surveyed farms and a high degree of automation used in farming. The research part is based on the search of the current state of selected agricultural farms. The research was focused on the South Bohemian Region which makes no exception in relation to this issue. Used for the research was a qualitative method of data collection with the information obtained through the techniques of controlled interviews and the secondary analysis of data provided by competent employees of farms in South Bohemia. The results are then outlined in two planes. During recent years, breeding stations have been completely renovated, especially in the section of technological processes. Modern electronic devices which include e.g. automated milking, feeding, suction and washing equipment, heating of service water and heating, should ensure trouble-free operation in such farms. However, what the vast majority of farms is not adequately prepared for is to ensure their smooth operation even during a failure of the electrical system. A number of farms do not have an alternate source of electrical energy. The percentage of self-sufficient farms having on its premises a pumping station that can supply the local diesel-aggregate, is also negligible. Moreover, in case of a diesel-aggregate failure, no alternative source is available. A crucial problem arises in the category of poultry. The animals are situated in large-volume halls where all processes are controlled by fully automated control systems. An alternative source of electrical energy is a crucial element needed to ensure normal operation of the farms. Unless the established criteria are in compliance (ventilation, lighting, etc.), reaction of the animals becomes evident within tens of minutes. Any deviation results in rapid loss of animals. It is assumed that the resulting data will be used both for research purposes in the area of secondary impacts in case of electrical system failures and for objective assessment of the effectiveness in farming security within the current methods. The purpose is to educate the above entities.

Bachelor's thesis "Chomutov 1945-1948" deals with post Second World War events in Chomutov and its outskirts with an emphasis on everyday life and the resettlement of this area after expulsion of the ethnic Germans. The thesis is based primarily on printed, archival and Internet resources but as key information sources are used narrative of direct participants in these events and their memories and testimonies. In the introduction, the work attempts to outline the coexistence of the Czech minority in the pre-war period, briefly events in 1938, and life in the Third Reich to its collapse and reconnection of Chomutov to the Czechoslovak republic. In another part of the work the author is concerned with the deportation and persecution of the German population and its relations with the newcomers. The central part of the work is trying to outline the life of immigrants in this period. Using eyewitness accounts, it was possible to map the daily life of settlers and their problems, such as everyday supply problems, health care, education and childhood in this region. There is also mention about regional culture, sports and political situation. The work presents the development of a society that arose often in great pain; the society with many people coming from completely different and opposing cultures. The work...

Organization of lesure activities of children and youth threatend by social exclusion (Pilsner region)
HELEBRANTOVÁ, Barbora
The bachelor thesis with the title Institutions of leisure activities for children and youth from groups threatened with social exclusion in the Pilsen region I have divided into five main chapters. In the first chapter I state the description of leisure time and terms connected with this. In the next chapter I devote to system of care for children and youth in the area of leisure activities in the Czech Republic. In the third part I define interests and their division. The following chapter deals with problems of exclusion, high-risk behaviour and its prevention. The last chapter defines sector of providers and recipients of leisure activities. For the qualitative survey I have chosen technique of interviews, which I have performed with personal staff from institutions providing leisure activities in the Pilsen region. Leisure activities help to children and youth to spend free time meaningfully. The aim of the research part of my bachelor thesis was to map institutions acting in the field of organisation of leisure activities for children and youth from groups threatened with social exclusion in the Pilsen region. The research questions I have put in the way, that I would ascertain, if the supply of leisure activities for children and youth from groups threatened with social exclusion in the Pilsen region is various and also, if supplied leisure activities for children and youth from groups threatened with social exclusion are financial available even for underprivileged families. For the purpose of the research I have addressed 47 institutions providing leisure activities for children and youth in the Pilsen region, from which only 11 have cooperated with me. From these I have chosen for the next cooperation the institutions, which organise leisure activities for children and young people from groups threatened with social exclusion. The majority of my respondents, specifically seven, are made up from houses for children and youth, I have cooperated with three institutions, which are directed to work with children and youth threatened with social exclusion, it's referring to Association of Romany civil initiatives AMARE, ČHAVE, Club Atom and the Children's home with school, primary school and school dining room Měcholupy. I have also cooperated with Centre of leisure time Pilsen. I have ascertained with the survey that the broadest supply of leisure activities in the Pilsen region is in big towns. From the survey follows that even in smaller towns is the supply of leisure activities, regarding number of interested persons, sufficient. Children have the biggest interest for motion and creative activities. The major part of interested persons for leisure activities are made up from girls and boys of younger school age, approximately from the second degree of primary school girls predominate. To promotion of the supply of leisure activities interviewed institutions use web pages and handbills, or they advertise in the press or in Facebook. The majority of them cooperate with school institutions and town cultural centres. Financial means can institutions gain from various sources, for example fees from participants, endowments, sponsors and own activity. Concerning financial availability of leisure activities, the financial aspect should not discourage in visit of the interest circle. The major part of activities can be replaced monthly, somewhere it is enabled to pay just visited lections. Some institutions provide leisure activities even quite free of charge, some can the fee in well-founded cases decrease or entirely forgive. Family can in well-founded cases apply by relevant social division for allowance on leisure activities for their children. Bachelor thesis can be source for providers of leisure activities for children and youth from groups singled out with social exclusion

Results of measurement of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in part in atmosphere, in part on aerosols from atmosphere and in dust from aircondition taken on eight places in Prague inclusive two traffic tunnels in years 2005 to 2007 are presented. Spectra of PAHs from aerosols of the traffic tunnel in two followend years (2006,2007) are not full identical. We anscribe the alternation to consecutive change of the car flotile and to the change of composition of fuels with ecologic components.

Environmental impact assessment of projects
Černá, Karolína ; Žákovská, Karolina (advisor) ; Sobotka, Michal (referee)
The topic of this thesis is Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). This is a very significant cross-sectional and preventive environmental protection tool. Its purpose is to identify as soon as possible any probable averse environmental impacts of presented project proposals. The whole process is led by a competent state offices. Necessary expert participants of the procedure are so-called "authorized persons" supplying specific technical studies on which the impact assessment is made. Another important factor, public participation, helps to improve efficiency of the EIA process. The whole procedure results in so-called Statement, which should define necessary conditions for the implementation of the project in effort to minimize negative impacts. If the project proposal is unacceptable under any circumstances it can not be given a consent to implement it and the statement must reject it. Conclusions formulated in the Statement serve as a basis for administrative decisions on project approval. Given the considerable breadth of the thesis topic it is focused on several key tasks, namely to provide a comprehensive explanation of the legal development of the EIA process, to analyze its current legislation and mapping legal rules of public participation in the EIA process. The following section...
