Optimization of processes and communication forms within company

Work efficiency, an expression that we hear daily. Nowadays, as a consequence of the lack of qualified labour force on the labour market and of the necessity to lower the companies' costs, the importance of work efficiency rises. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to analyse the forms of communication and settings in the company ICE, s.r.o. and to propose the possibilities of changes, for their optimalization and rise of work efficiency. Nowadays there are no rules of communication and strict procedures to solve the particular situations. The company uses more programs with a limited functionality for the economical sphere and for support of inner cooperation. This situation causes bad communication and cooperation and non-sufficient support of the processes by the application functionality. First it was necessary to introduce the structure and operating of the company, describe the forms of communication and subsequently analyze the problems of the present situation. The practical part of the paper is devoted to seeking of a possible solution, description of the individual alternatives and determination of the most suitable solution. The paper is concluded with a recommendation, what should be the next steps to reach the solution.

The Evolution of Spanish Economy

The first chapter describes the history of Spain since its establishment as a modern state till the present with focus on the economy of the country. Chapter two is dedicated to the relation between Spain and the European Union (EU), in particular to the european funds and the actual Spanish presidency of the EU. The following chapter concentrates on the current crisis and its impacts on the Iberian economy. In the chapter four there are analysed main problems of Spain - the labour market, the immigration and the building industry. Last chapter analyses, using the SWOT analysis, the current position of the Spanish economy with some proposals of possible solutions.

Unemployment Duration in the Czech Republic Through the Lens of Survival Analysis

In the presented thesis the aim is to apply methods of survival analysis to the data from the Labour Force Survey, which are interval-censored. With regard to this type of data, I use specific methods designed to handle them, especially Turnbull estimate, weighted log-rank test and the AFT model. Other objective of the work is the design and application of a methodology for creating a model of unemployment duration, depending on the available factors and its interpretation. Other aim is to evaluate evolution of the probability distribution of unemployment duration and last but not least aim is to create more accurate estimate of the tail using extreme value theory. The main benefits of the thesis can include the creation of a methodology for examining the data from the Labour Force Survey based on standard techniques of survival analysis. Since the data are internationally comparable, the methodology is applicable at the level of European Union countries and several others. Another benefit of this work is estimation of the parameters of the generalized Pareto distribution on interval-censored data and creation and comparison of the models of piecewise connected distribution functions with solution of the connection problem. Work brought empirical results, most important of which is the comparison of results from three different data approaches and specific relationship between selected factors and time to find a job or spell of unemployment.

Analýza hotelnictví a turismu v Praze v letech 2000-2006

Předmětem mé bakalářské práce je hotelnictví a cestovní ruch v Praze v letech 2000-2006. Hlavní cíl této práce je analyzovat vliv ceny ubytovacích služeb na poptávku, nabídku po ubytovacích službách, i na celý trh cestovního ruchu V úvodní části vymezuji obecné pojmy cestovního ruchu a hotelnictví. Uvádím zde i zmínku o státní politice cestovního ruchu České republiky. První analýza zkoumá trh cestovního ruchu v Praze jako celek pomocí veřejného mínění. Toto veřejné mínění je získáno z tiskovin, časopisů a z dalších tiskových zdrojů ve sledovaném období. V této analýze dochází k porovnání veřejného mínění se statistickými daty. Druhá analýza se snaží kvantifikovat vliv ceny na délku pobytu hostů v ubytovacích zařízení a na počet ubytovaných turistů v Praze. K zjištění citlivosti turistů na cenu je použita cenová elasticita poptávky.

Czech Business Environment from the Point of View of Swiss Investors

The aim of my thesis was to analyze the business environment in the Czech Republic and to evaluate the possibilities for Swiss entrepreneurs on this market. My second aim was to provide the necessary information to the companies from Switzerland who currently consider possible enter on the Czech market. The business environment in the Czech Republic was analyzed on the basis quantitative analysis of particular factors, which determine the business environment in the Czech Republic. Furthermore I made the qualitative analysis of the Swiss point of view by conducting three individual interviews with the Swiss ambassador in the Czech Republic, with the CEO of the Chamber of Commerce Switzerland -- Czech Republic and the marketing director of a Swiss company operating in the Czech Republic.

Molecular analysis in cases of inherited diseas

Urcení vztahu mezi onemocnením a jeho molekulární podstatou je jedním z hlavních cílu lékarské genetiky. V rámci studie: "Molekulární analýza vybraných dedicne podmínených onemocnení" byly popsány postupy, které vedou k objasnení molekulární podstaty u onemocnení s již známými odpovednými geny i u onemocnení, u kterého byl odpovedný gen teprve identifikován. Studie prispela k rozšírení znalostí zkoumaných dedicných onemocnení. Zavedené postupy molekulárních analýz jsou soucástí diagnostiky na Ústavu dedicných metabolických poruch v Praze. Výsledky techto analýz slouží k prevenci, prognóze i lécbe onemocnení a u postižených rodin byla umožnena prenatální diagnostika. Výsledky byly publikovány v nekolika domácích i zahranicních odborných casopisech a prezentovány na mezinárodních konferencích. Nekteré z publikací byly dále citovány.

Older people and public libraries

Cílem bakalářské práce je analyzovat, popsat a vyhodnotit chování seniorů ve veřejných knihovnách, a to na příkladu Městské knihovny v Praze. Ve vybraných pobočkách této knihovny byl také proveden rozbor statistických ukazatelů a pozorování. - První kapitola se zabývá vymezením pojmu senior a jeho terminologií, krátce je popsán problém stárnutí a stáří, na který navazuje vývoj populace ve světě i v ČR a jeho důsledky. Dále je pojednáno o mezinárodních a národních programech stárnutí a aktivitách v oblasti vzdělávání. Druhá kapitola popisuje služby veřejných knihoven seniorům, informační potřeby seniorů a aktivity knihoven v oblasti stárnutí. Poslední kapitola je věnována představení Městské knihovny v Praze a analýze výsledků dotazníkového šetření a pozorování v jednotlivých pobočkách této instituce. [Autorský abstrakt].

Electronic information resources in the Information Department of the Institute of International Relations

Práce má za cíl popsat elektronické informační zdroje informačního oddělení Ústavu mezinárodních vztahů v Praze a navrhnout pro ně skupinu dalších využitelných elektronických zdrojů. První část práce identifikuje informační potřeby uživatelů prostřednictvím popisu oboru mezinárodních vztahů a činnosti ústavu. Druhá část práce prezentuje jednotlivé zdroje, jež má oddělení v současnosti k dispozici, s ohledem na jejich podstatné vlastnosti a jejich hlavní přínos pro uživatele služeb oddělení. Poslední část zpracovává obdobným způsobem elektronické zdroje volně dostupné v prostředí internetu, navržené jako doplněk stávajících zdrojů.
