Experimental Small Bowel Transplantation
Kudla, Michal ; Adamec, Miloš (advisor) ; Kohout, Pavel (referee) ; Hejnal, Jiří (referee)
The small bowel transplantation (SBT) represents reasonable alternative to ultimate total parenteral nutrition of the patient suffering from terminal stage of chronic bowel failure. To date, the small bowel transplantation was not carried out in the Czech Republic. The initial experimental research and gaining experience with transplantations on animal models are inevitable before successful commencement of small bowel transplantation programme. In my dissertation thesis I am in full details describing the surgical technique of small bowel transplantation in rat. In comparison with the published data I have succeed to reach rather similar results of operating time and survival of the experimental animals. In the second part of my experiment I tried to influence the acute rejection of the small bowel graft occurrence by administration of cytostatic agent gemcitabin. The chosen dosage of the remedy did not suppress the rejection. In the third part I am describing the surgical technique of lymphatic vessels reconstruction in SBT rat model, which might lead to improvement of the SBT outcome. The last part of my dissertation thesis is preclinical. I am describing the initial experience with surgical technique of small bowel graft harvesting from cadaverous donor.

Environmental Topics in Teaching Music
Žídková, Johana ; Kodejška, Miloš (referee) ; Váňová, Hana (advisor)
The content of the diploma thesis named Environmental Topics in Teaching Music outlines possibilities of how to include environmental features in the school subject of Music. The necessity of dealing with the topic of ecology has arisen from the implementation of Framework Education Programmes for elementary and secondary education in the Czech Republic in 2007. These include, apart from the traditional educational areas, new cross-curricular subjects. One of them is environmental education. Unfortunately, there are not enough materials on how to implement crosscurricular subjects into music lessons. Therefore, the aim of this work is to provide an overall view of the field for those who would like to start teaching environmental education through music, to give examples of a successful application abroad and finally, to point out possibilities for teaching on the domestic front. There are two levels on which the implementations take place: on the level of organizational forms (in lessons, projects, etc.) and on the content level (through the choice of topics or cross-subject connection). These two elements are eventually connected by the synthesis of environmental and musical methodology mostly based on multiple potential of music itself. Music becomes both: the means and the aim.

Environment and asthma bronchiale
Horová, Zuzana ; Jílek, Petr (advisor) ; Kudláčková, Zděnka (referee)
BACKGROUND: Asthma is one of the most often occuring children chronic diseases and its prevalence is steadily increasing. A lot of risk and protective factors influencing the development of asthma and atopic diseases have been described. It is necessary to gain more information about these factors, though. AIM: To compare two different groups of children (the asthmatics and the reference group) beeing influenced by different risk and protective factors for developing asthma. Analysing the risk factors may help us to design preventive programmes and broaden the knowledge of pathobiology of the disease. METHODS: 3848 structured anonymous questionnaires were sent to various primary schools round the Czech Republic. The questionnaires were completed by parents on behalf of their children. The aim of the questionnaires was to examine the prenatal conditions and postnatal conditions at the age of the first two years, at 6th -7th , 12th - 13th year of age. In this study we focused on postnatal conditions of children. 2050 completed questionnaires were sent back and we focused on the group of 118 astmatic children and 765 non-allergic children as the reference group. Children were born in years 1992-1993 and all come from the Czech Republic. Answering positively the question about asthmatic symptoms and...

Pereutaneous Endoseopie Gastrostomy {further on PEG} has heen peďonned for the first time in USA in June 1979. At tbat time it was recived as a very risky metbod. Fortunatelly it did not last a very long time and this new metbod has ehanged in a ski11ed and very needed aceomplishment. In Czeeh Republie this method appeared later - in 90th years of 20th eentury. But soon it has got in eonseiousniss of doctors and other medical statI. And very promptly beeame a eomponent of tbe programme in all of tbe major hospitals. I am work.ing as an endoseopical nursing sister at tbe gastroenterologieal departmant of tbe pediatrie clinie of FN Motol. At our workplace we are engaged in tbe PEG method since the year 1996. Sinee this time we have introdueed 134 PEG's and have earried out 42 interehanges. The working processes do not significantely methodiealy distinguish at tbe pediatrie and adults patients. Aeeordingly to tbe age and namely to tbe weight of the patient it is necessary to choose the needful instruments {an endoseop and gastronornieal set}. It is possible to introduce tbe PEG sueeessfully into small ehildren. Our smallest pediatrie patient, into which we have introdueed tbe gastronomieal sound was 3 months old girl, witb weight 4 kg. At some of our pediatrie patients we have alredy realized one or more...

Delivery, implementation and post-implementation support in the multiple projects environment
Gažmerčík, Jakub ; Bruckner, Tomáš (advisor) ; Dvořáková, Dana (referee)
This project is discussing the specifications of implementation and post-implementation support of information systems used in the environment with wide range of operations and processes, often driven by multiple projects. It analyzes the risks associated to this environment and it discusses the approaches assigned to minimize these specific risks. It specifies the basic concepts and practices in the sphere of implementation and post-implementation support, their actual design and trends. It describes their key factors on predefined multiple projects environment, depending on the approach to the partial projects management. In the end, this project creates simulated hypothetic model of complex information system in the environment of the programme consisted from self dependent partial projects, in purpose to explain the best practices and methods.

The urgent and follow-up precautions in case release of ammonia - back analysis of past cases
CHOCOVÁ, Lenka
For this final paper, I chose a rather serious topic that is very topical in our society. Hazardous chemical substance ? ammonia ? is used very widely at present. Ammonia is used as a coolant in various plants. I have compiled a list of all plants in South Bohemia that work with ammonia, including ice rinks. I characterized the properties of ammonia, what damage it causes to the human organism and the environment. I noted a list of accidents during which there have been ammonia leakages of ammonia and I analyzed one accident using a software programme called TerEx. I chose the building of the ice rink in České Budějovice for my research. The objective was to determine the amount of ammonia and to simulate, using the TerEx software programme, an accident with a potential ammonia leakage from the ice rink. I also listed all the activities of the individual components of the Integrated Rescue System, which would help during such an accident, as well as urgent and follow-up measures that would be used. Having assessed the results I came to the conclusion that ammonia leakage from the ice rink would have serious impacts on the residents of České Budějovice. Finally I explained what the terms of evacuation and individual protection mean for the people lining around the ice rink.

Indicators of the Quality of Nursing as Part of the Systems of the Quality Management in a Health Institution
Kárníková, Pavla ; Jurásková, Dana (advisor) ; Marková, Eva (referee)
One of the components influencing the evaluation of health care quality done by a patient is nurse care. This mainly depends on nurses themselves. This issue is addressed in the diploma thesis by Be Pavla Kárníková called "Indicators of the Quality of Nursing as part of the Systems of the Quality Management in a Health Institution". The aim of this thesis is to chart the scope of quality monitoring in health institutions situated in the Czech Republic. The knowledge of national indicators and standards has been examined as well as their influence on the overall quality of nurse care. The first part is theoretical and is dealing with historical developement of quality managent systems. Consequently, selected systems and their application in public health are observed. At the end of this part there is a brief characteristic and description of benefits concerning individual programmes. The following part is focused on the nursing quality and methods of its monitoring and evaluation. The important question is the choice of indicators and their placement into the procedure of quality assessment. Furthermore, individual indicators and basic process of their monitoring are described. The research into this issue was accomplished in selected hospitals within the framework of this thesis. The research was composed...
