Legal status of women in Roman law

English abstract Legal status of women in Roman law This rigorosum thesis deals comprehensively with problematics of the position of a woman as a legal subject in the Roman law. The thesis is divided in three main chapters whereas the first one deals with the historical events and legal regulations that influenced the position of a woman in individual periods of the Roman state system, in a Roman family as well as in the entire society. The second chapter is devoted to the competence of a woman in the Roman law, mainly to the legal personality, capacity, legal as well as procedural competence. In this connection, the subchapter deals with the position of a woman as a person alieni iuris and sui iuris and the institute of guardianship of adult women in the sui iuris position. The third chapter is focused on the legal position of a woman in a Roman family. It analyzes the roles that a woman could play in a family gradually. It means the role of a daughter, wife, mother, and widow whereas the largest emphasis is placed on the position of a woman in the Roman marriage and related institutions. The emphasis is placed on finding public awareness about the importance of the field of wellness and public interest in a healthy lifestyle. The work focuses on the research of the demand, which builds actual business plan. The processing of this thesis will help in deciding whether the project of the wellness hotel is realistic.

Visualization of Molecules Described in Geneva System

The subject of this work is to implement the tool for automatic processing of the names of the organic compounds into three-dimensional models of the molecules. The VRML language is used for description of the model. It allows (apart from other things) next processing in most tools designated for work with threedimensional subject. It is possible to control the program from the command line or over the WWW-form. It causes both comfort during common use and possibility of next using by other programs. We focused on processing of the language of the organic chemistry, while the created model is not precise. However, for acquisition of general information about the structure it suffices.

Social and pedagogical help to cictims of home violence

The thesis deals with social and pedagogical aspects of a home violence. The preface defines the basic terms related to the home violence issue and an attention is paid to the home violence actors. The following chapter deals with the meaning of prevention of the home violence, the emphasis being placed on the primary prevention. The thesis also outlines the possibilities of a legal protection and help to home violence victims from the point of view of legal standards. The core part of the thesis focuses on social and pedagogical help to home violence victims, where social and pedagogical aspects of the work with the home violence victims are defined. Attention is paid not only to the direct work with the home violence victims but also to other systems of help to actors of home violence. A meaning of the interdisciplinary cooperation is raised here in solving the home violence and activities of institutions providing help to home victims are described. The last chapter of the theoretical thesis offers an evaluation of the present system of help provided to the home violence victims in CR. Goodwill under IFRS

This diploma thesis was focused on goodwill under IFRS specifically for treatment of goodwill, which arises only in acquisitions, involving the formation of relationships between parents and subsidiaries. The main objective was to approach goodwill and everything associated with it in terms of IFRS, which are generally more common for users of financial statements than US GAAP are. A substantial part of the work was devoted to business combinations that involve the recognition of goodwill. Valuation of non-controlling interests was described more specifically as well as impairment test of goodwill. Final analysis was dedicated to real presented data of goodwill in financial statements of three selected companies. Emphasis was placed on the development of discount rates in the years 2008 to 2011.

Problems of information search on the Internet

This thesis adverts to the inadequacies and impediments which can be met by an ordinary user of the internet when searching for information. The process of searching itself represents an interaction between the request given by a user and the result displayed by a search engine. The result might be in a form of URL address of a concrete web page, picture, product, location etc. Some of the problems, which are described in detail in the thesis, are for example relevance and freshness of the search result, separation of global and local result, spam in the results or problems connected to the searching in the online maps. There is an emphasis on the local market, respectively on the Czech user, in the thesis. Furthermore, it focuses on the freshness of all data and on a practical sample in a picture form. The important data and statistics are recorded in the well-arranged tables and graphs. Among others, many interesting information and observations can be found in the thesis. These information and observations are marked with the blue arrow (->).

Legal language - its specific features in written and spoken communication

This thesis' main focus is the legal language usage. It covers a very wide area of the interdisciplinary subject of legal language and its practical usefulness for legal professionals as well as general public. The first part of the work tries to describe the specific features of the Czech legal language as a functional entity within general language. The description is divided according to the distinct language levels (morphological, stylistic; lexical and semantic, textual) and those parts are connected with the related legal theory issues (theory of legal semantics, legal concepts and their expressions in the text, problems of prescriptive v. descriptive clauses, possibility of misinterpretation of the originally intended meaning). This part is also accompanied by a terminological chapter explaining the linguistic expressions used herein. The following parts explore various areas of applied linguistics. Díky velkému technickému pokroku se zásadně mění životní styl člověka a jeho okolí. Všechny změny však nejsou jen k lepšímu. Zvýšení životní úrovně s sebou přináší také mnoho negativních vlivů, které se podepisují na našem organismu. Popsat vztah technického pokroku s výkonností naší mládeže je hlavním podnětem pro změření hodnot a jejich zpracování. Dnešní mládež je sice obviňována z přílišné lenosti a malé motivace sportovat, ale přízviska zkažená nebo líná se k nim přisuzují neprávem. Kritika nebo rozbor tohoto tématu je zbytečný, už jen díky tomu, že nároky kladené na dnešní adolescenty jsou tak vysoké, že problémy se zanedbáváním sportovních činností jsou přirozené a nevyhnutelné. Navíc rozvoj komunikace a informačních zdrojů pokračuje takovým tempem, že poměr některých aktivit připadajících na volný čas se změnil dost výrazným způsobem.

Specific of patent law in pharmaceutical industry

1 ABSTRACT SPECIFIC OF PATENT LAW IN PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY This thesis scopes on particularities of patent law with regard to pharmaceuticals. It describes the basics of patent law while focusing mainly on international treaties, in particular on systems established by EPC and TRIPS. The patent system in USA and in the Czech Republic is also noted. This thesis is divided into seven chapters. In the first chapter named sources of law international institutions, treaties and situation in European union, USA and Czech Republic are described here. This chapter also deals with basic legal instruments such as patent, corporate invention or utility model. The next chapter is focused on individual conditions that need to be met in order to grant a certain patent - the most basic are novelty, inventive step and industrial applicability. The following chapter deals with problems associated with costly development of new drugs and the need of companies to get the longest possible protection for their inventions. A special chapter addresses exceptions to the stiff patent regulation. This diploma thesis is focused on the communication strategy of the Staropramen brand Sládkova limonáda. The thesis is aimed on the description of the marketing strategy of the brand with main focus on communication strategy. The emphasis is placed on current trends affecting the market and the strategies of companies presented on the market. The major goal is to create a communication strategy plan for Staropramen Sládkova limonáda. The communication strategy is based on theoretical knowledge, information and data collected through a questionnaire survey, situational analysis and subsequent evaluation of the strategy of launching the brand on the Czech market.
