Finalisation of development and verification of Flow123d software within the DECOVALEX 2015 project

This final report summarizes the progress of work and results for the whole period of the project. The subject is modelling of tasks within the project Decovalex-2015, development of Flow123d software, and preparation of documents for its standardization using the comparison results with foreign teams. TUL team participated in Task C1 (THMC processes in a single fracture) using the software Geochemist’s Workbench and their own tool TrAper for connecting chemistry and deformation and Task C2 (flow and transport in the vicinity of the tunnel Bedřichov) using Flow123d software. Task C2 also includes the formulation of the assignment and coordination of the solution of other teams. The ÚGN team participated in Task A, focusing on saturation of bentonite seals in clay rock and closing the gap, with the help of the COMSOL Multiphysics software. The outputs are the joint report by international teams and papers in a special issue of a journal. The developed models and lessons learned contribute to the ability to predict phenomena in the deep geological repository. Another result is a set of documents for the Flow123d software. All of which are attached to the report as attachments.

Selection of the most suitable international market for Logio expansion

The master thesis deals with the possibilities of international expansion in case of the Czech company Logio s.r.o that sells consulting services on B2B market. The main objective is to choose a suitable international market for expansion of the company. Futhermore, market analysis and determination of method of market entering are additional objectives of the thesis. The first part deals with the characteristics of the process, which companies should follow during selection of international market, and various forms of entrance. Then, gained findings are used in process of selecting the most suitable international market for expansion of company Logio s.r.o. Selected market is analysed by using Porter model of 5 forces and PESTEL analysis. The variants of international expansion are specified and compared in the end of the thesis and the most suitable method of market entering is chosen with regard to specifics of the company itself.

The Analysis of the Employee Benefit System at a Particular Organization

This bachelor´s thesis focuses on employee benefits at a particular organization. The first part summarizes basic theoretical knowledge gained from professional literature. The second part introduces the particular organization, its history and the current system of employee benefits, which is analyzed by means of a survey. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the employee satisfaction with employee benefits and to identify strengths and weaknesses of this benefit system. The final part defines measures to be taken to improve functioning of the benefit system at the particular organization.

This work presents several localization methods which have been also used for practical implementation on real robots. Among others, Monte Carlo Localization (MCL) was selected for implementation. It represents very successful method of probability localization in situations when data acquired from the sensors does not fully correspond to the reality. The resulting localization technique was successfully used for localization of several robots. The work also shows how a cheap low-end GPS receiver module can be used for localization on a graph-based map. Keywords: robotics, localization, GPS, Monte Carlo Localization

The Development of Local Government in the Municipality of Březnice

The thesis was built up as a method of case study, dealing with the political development in Březnice from communal election in 1994 to the present. The theoretical part was focused on the development of local authorities in the historical milestones. It defines the term municipality, its institutions, communal elections and its components, the coalition theory, local party system, participation of population, position of independent candidates in local politics and local models of democracy. The practical part uses all the information obtained in the first part and applies it to the municipality Březnice according the knowledge collected from interviews with current and former local representatives. This part also describes history of the village and socio-economic indicators.

Business plan: Flats for rent to foreign tourists

This diploma thesis Business plan: Flats for rent to foreign tourists shows the reader the solution of business plan and project management in the real world. Theoretical part of this thesis focuses on the basic structure of a business plan, financial part of this diploma thesis and shortly describes the legal issues of rent the flat in the Czech Republic. Everything is applied in the practical part of this thesis, where the project is described, after that analysis of the inner and outer environment are made. The next chapter describes in detail the conditions for the implementation of marketing strategy. The last chapter of this thesis is devoted to financial plan, in which are calculated few scenarios of the business idea and possible risks of this project. The processing of the business plan is focused on practical application and is designed as instructions on how to start a business in this subject.

Economic assessment of the financing possibilities of the company cars for the selected company

This thesis covers the topic of loan and lease financing. Its basis is the economic assessment of the selected financing options. The attention is first paid to the principle of leasing and credit, the historical development of both forms of financing and the current situation in the leasing market in the Czech Republic. In the Theoretical solutions part of the thesis the pros and cons of leasing and credit financing are being discussed. This section is concluded with a chapter about Czech Leasing and Financial Association. The analytical part of the thesis evaluates the selected financing trends. It introduces Robert Bosch odbytova s.r.o. company, which is characterized as a lessee of the leased asset or as a company interested in a loan. Furthermore, this part refers to Skoda Auto a.s. and Hyundai Motor Czech s.r.o., companies which supplied configuration for Skoda Octavia and Hyundai i30. The aim is to compare leasing and credit as funding sources. The conclusion summarizes and evaluates the obtained results and gives recommendations for the effective financing for the company Robert Bosch odbytova s.r.o.

Regional Policy EU and its Role in Development of the Municipality Církvice

This work deals with regional policy and its role in development of the village Církvice. The first part describes regional policy and its characteristics, development, principles, tools and targets in the Czech Republic and the European Union. The second part focuses on the village Církvice, which is located in the Central Bohemian Region, between the historic towns Čáslav and Kutná Hora. In this section, there is contained not only general characteristics of the village, but also its geographic and demographic specifications, the state of the transport and technical infrastructure, the level of the civic amenities and there is also a view on the unemployment rate, social structure and the possibility of cultural and sports activities in the village. Also, there is proposed the project for the drowdown of the subsidies from EU funds, which will ensure the further development of the village and new opportunities for the residents of the village. The results were obtained based on the semi-structured interviews with the Mayor and other employees of the municipal office. The conclusion of the work is dedicated to the evaluation of the impact of regional policy on the development of the village Církvice.

Monetary Policy of the Czech Republic

The thesis is focused on the tools of monetary policy which the central bank uses when she wants to achieve the inflation target. The outcome of this thesis is proposal optimize the tools of monetary policy. The Proposal is based on the analysis of the results of simultaneous econometric model. In this thesis is testing time series by November 2013. At this time the Czech National Bank concluded currency commitment. By this time the central bank is overseeing that the exchange rate is above 27 CZK / EUR. Another objective is evaluating the influence of interventions on the economic development of the country. In this thesis are used secondary data from external sources. In the theoretical part is described of monetary policy, monetary policy instruments and the main objectives of monetary policy. In the practical part is constructed an econometric model. Endogenous variables in the model are logarithms yields exchange rate CZK / EUR and inflation of monetary policy.

Blue Ocean Strategy as a Prerequisite for the Success of the Company

The goal of thesis is to verify the assumption that the company's strategy constituent elements Blue Ocean Strategy leads to a higher success rate, according to selected criteria. The theoretical part is based on  literature and clarification of terms with which I work. The key pillar is to understand the difference between blue and red oceans. I also explain the strategic management approach compared to the Blue Ocean Strategy. This part is based on literature and expert opinion. The knowledge gained is reflected in the analysis of ten companies. These companies are examined in terms of tools and strategic management using tools Blue Ocean Strategy. Successful companies are further analyzed and observational characteristics of strategies is indicated whether they match the characteristics of the Blue Ocean Strategy and lead to greater company success.
