Realistic Visualization of Snow

This diploma thesis follows visualization of snow formations, which are called penitentes. This work includes also collecting the data needed to derive the optical properties of the penitentes material. Which are different phases between snow and ice. For visualization method is used Progressive Transient Photon Beams, that this work implements with the help of SmallUbpb.

Apposition in the headlines of the Czech and English online media

The diploma thesis focuses on apposition and its syntactic and semantic characteristics in the headlines of Czech and English online media. In the theoretical part, the format of a headline is introduced as a part of written journalistic texts as well as significant Czech and English concepts about appositions are presented. The selected approaches are then united into a classification which is later used for the purposes of the linguistic analysis in the practical part. The aforementioned analysis deals with syntactic and semantic aspects of appositional units, classifies the language data and describes them in detail. The final chapter of the thesis contain the conclusion and offer the results of the linguistic analysis. Incorrect expression in selected news sites's Facebook pages: comparative analysis

The master thesis Incorrect expression in selected news sites ́s Facebook pages: comparative analysis deals with uncivil comments in the Facebook pages of two news web sites, which are considered as disinformation - Aeronet.cz and ParlamentníListy.cz, and two news web sites, which are considered as serious - Aktuálně.cz and Novinky.cz. The theoretical part describes previous research with a similar focus, on the results of which I set hypotheses. The reader will be acquainted with the incivility, which is indecency, rudeness, but also with new media or social networks. The aim of the research is to find out whether incivility appear in the Facebook comments under the articles dealing with the migration crisis, and if so, to whom these incivility comments are directed. Comments were collected on articles shared on Facebook pages in the period from 1st January 2019 to 30th June 2019. Qualitative coding of comments identified several regularly recurring categories of incivility, as well as typologies of persons against whom incorrect expressions were directed. The results of the quantitative analysis showed that incivility occurs in the comments, they are most often directed against migrants, using contempt or vulgarisms. Aspekty reprodukcie slona afrického (Loxodonta africana) vo voľnej prírode a v ľudskej starostlivosti

The bachelor thesis Aspects of the Reproduction of the African Bush Elephant (Loxodonta africana) in the Wilds and in Captivity deals with the reproduction of the African bush elephant (Loxodonta africana) and various issues affecting it. The text focuses on the collection, study and assessment of literature related to the reproduction of the African bush elephant living in the wilds and in zoological gardens. It also points out the importance of the development and support of the reproduction of the African bush elephants, for the amount of the animals still living in the wilds is decreasing. The first part describes the general characteristics of the African bush elephant. Its subparts deal with zoological classification, evolution, anatomy, diet and communication system. The following part focuses on the reproduction of the animals and the related social behaviour thereof. The text further elaborates on musth, heat, mating, gravidity and birth, as well as on the development of the young after they are born. The thesis concludes with the evaluation of the current state of breeding of the African bush elephant in captivity and issues related to it.

This thesis focuses on creation of design and subsequent implementation of career web. Thesis contents collection of data using the user research and its analysis. Based on this analysis, the thesis documents creation of sketches, wireframes and prototypes. The web is created using the WordPress tool, based on the prototypes. Subsequently the methods of user testing are described. In the conclusion, the the-sis focuses on stating the suitability of chosen user testing methods and application of UX principles.

Mechanisms of antibiotic action and their relationship to the shape of the inhibition zones in E-test

The aim of this work is antibiotic susceptibility testing, especially the method of Etest. Etest is a widespread technique due to its simplicity and accuracy in both research and clinical conditions. Understanding the method and its influencing factors is necessary for accurate reading of the MIC (minimum inhibitory concentration) and understanding of bacteria- antibiotic interactions. The purpose of the study was to demonstrate connections between antibiotic action mechanism and zone of inhibition shape. Also, to point out the obstacles that might complicate results interpretation. The pictures of Etest results from research papers were compared to the models of antibiotic diffusion. The zone of inhibition shape is affected by the diffusion rate, molecular characteristics of antibiotic, by the bacterial strain performances and by the specific bacteria-antibiotic interactions.

Name Liturgy of Engagement Abstract The thesis focuses on the phenomenon of blessing during engagement in liturgical ceremony of blessing the engaged couple. The aim of the diploma thesis entitled Liturgy of Engagement was to collect data of lay blessing ritual development in history up to present time with the focus on liturgical ceremony of blessing of the engaged couple using compilatory-analytical method. Using synthetic method the collected data were evaluated in their possible development. The thesis is divided in three chapters. The first chapter is based on compilation of secondary literature with subseqent elaboraton together with secondary documents related to lay blessing ceremonies in the history of liturgy. The second chapter deals with the analysis of primary literature about historical development of lay blessing in the engagement ceremony with the primary focus on historical development in the Order of Celebrating Matrimony and the Order of Blessings. The third chapter introduces the synthesis showing the importance of current ritual of engagement ceremony and the purpose of blessing the engaged couple for their preparation for the sacrament of marriage. Name: Attitudes and awareness of tax havens among students of Charles University FPES majoring in PES and MNG Target: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out attitudes and awareness of tax havens among students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University, namely between the field of Physical Education and Sport and the field of Physical Education and Sport Management and compare possible differences in answers that will be collected based on quantitative research. The contribution of this work will be to learn whether there is a difference in attitudes and awareness of tax havens among students of sports and economics and whether students are even interested in learning more about this problem. Methods: The thesis uses the method of quantitative research, namely electronic questioning, whose aim is to determine the attitudes and awareness of at least 40 students from each field. The sample of respondents was thus determined by the partially influenced selection.
