Communication in language class
Koulová, Ilona ; Šebesta, Karel (advisor) ; Lehečková, Eva (referee)
This master thesis is concerned with an analysis of communication in the classroom, in which the Czech language is being taught as a foreign language. In the first introductory theoretical part of the thesis, the specifics of educational communication are delimited and afterwards expanded to include communication in the foreign language classroom. This part also examines the most genuine principles in foreign language teaching, points at the so-called communicative approach in education, and accents the importance of the concept of interaction in the technique of teaching. The next section of the thesis specifies all requisites related to the system of analysis discussed in the communicative discourse of authors J. McH. Sinclair and R. M. Coulthard from 1975, who divided the discourse into several types of units, the smallest of which was established as the act. From the acts on, the thesis is based on their analysis. It examines the types of acts, their linguistic (eventually para-linguistic realizations), and their modifications with respect to the educational goal of class/activity. Finally, besides the discourse on acts, the thesis is concerned with the question of crossing the target/mother/ mediate language and the influence of these interferences on the negotiation of meaning.

Dance therapy is a form of psychotherapy where move is the main mean of change. A man uses its own body for this change because body is physical aspect of personality. This therapy helps to create positive image of myself. It is a new profession which is still in proces of defining itself. Dancing education and art performance in this therapy is not the aim. In this therapy the esthetic aspect of movement is not concidered. The Greek word therapy has the same meaning as Czech word accompany. Therapist is the one who accompanies client on his way to recovery and self-knowledge. The principial moment of dance therapy is connection of body movement and emotional experience. Bachelor thesis deals with the situation, when the failure of the state creates opportunities for activities of the non-profit sector. The non-profit sector is represented by non-governmental organizations and these organisations are based on voluntary acitivity and provide institutianal bases for volunteering. The belly dancing as a multicultural phenomenon
Ebelová, Patricie ; Opletalová, Lenka (referee) ; Soukup, Václav (advisor)
This thesis deals with belly dancing as a multicultural phenomenon. The autor chose this subject for different reasons. Firstly, the very nature of belly dancing asks for which falos for multidisciplinarity, which is the main idea of cultural antropology. Secondly, she practices belly dancing herself. This fact helps her understand belly dancing more properly even on the theoretical level. Moreover, the author could study this phenomenon because she attends courses and has become a part of the newly emerged Czech belly dancing subculture. The third and last reason why she picks up this phenomenon was a fact that she had studied at an artistic secondary school. Thats why she does not only study the subject from the perspective of humanities (studied at FFUK) but she also tries to apply the artistic point of view. Thus the dance is not viwed only as an artwork, but strong inspiration for artists as well.
