Systems of Parallel Grammars
Skácel, Jiří ; Horáček, Petr (referee) ; Meduna, Alexandr (advisor)
This article defines cooperating distributed grammar systems with E0L components instead of context-free grammars and discusses its generative power mainly in respect to ET0L systems. It recapitulates results about CD GS, then defines modified systems and shows that this combination has in most derivative modes equal strength to ET0L, except for terminating mode, which is shown to be more powerful. There are also explained examples of this new kind of systems.

The introduction of the Thesis also includes the explanation of options of a non-consumer spending in the form of both investments and various types of savings. The analysis of the changes in the spending structure concerns all categories of households, classified according to the person acting as the head of household, in the years 2006-2014. These changes are evaluated not only from the point of view of their extent and development trends, but they are also evaluated in comparison with other monitored households. The detailed analysis monitoring the spending extent and the development of individual expense entries studies the average household and the household of employees in the years 2000-2014, with a subsequent prediction for years 2015 and 2016. For the households of self-employers, unemployed persons and pensioners (without economically active members), the analysis covers the changes in the spending extent in the years 2006-2014 and includes also the comparison of such changes in terms of the mentioned household types.

Vliv šířky pracovního pole plně mechanizovaných technologií na zpeněžení dříví stanovený na základě sortimentace - případová studie na ŠLP Masarykův les Křtiny
Kyselý, Martin
There was the field investigation carried out at Habrůvka forest district in eight Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) dominated forest stands from 4th to 11th age class. Based on the survey data the individual stems were notionally split into parts, assorted, classified into quality grades and valued according to average prices on the timber market for 2013. The results of assorting clearly show the difference between the expected realization of the trees along the forest tracks and from the inside of the forest stand, where trees from the inside achieve higher values. Subsequently, the evaluation of two basic forest infrastructure schemes was conducted, as the more forest tracks, the larger area affected and the higher number of the trees with lower expected value occurs. In terms of yields from the forest stand the variant with wider working fields seems more profitable, even though different technologies have to be applied.

The impact of immigration on wages in the Czech Republic
Všetičková, Simona ; Potužák, Pavel (advisor) ; Brožová, Dagmar (referee)
This paper examines the impact of immigration on the labour market. The first part summarizes the theoretical aspects of immigration and its impact on wages and employment. It compares two different approaches to research immigration, the aggregate labour market model and the regional labour market model. Following these approaches, the econometric models are constructed. The empirical section tries to verify the assumption that immigration has negative impact on wages. The data used in regression are valid for the Czech Republic for the period of 2004-2010. The tested assumption was rejected on basis of the model results. The impact of immigration on the average wages in the Czech Republic was positive according to the aggregate labour market model.

The impact of mining to the socio-economic development of Ghana: The case of Anglogold Ashanti Ghana
Boateng, Kofi Ampadu
Mining has a long history as far as the existence of humans are concerned. Mining contributes to economic growth and can be a source of employment for many. Mining has been a source of revenue to most developing countries that are endowed with mineral and natural resources. These revenues come in the form of taxes, government shares, royalties, commitment to corporate social responsibility and foreign exchange earnings as a result of the exportation of minerals. When these benefits are managed carefully, economies can be transformed. Due to the immense benefits mining has on the economy and society, there is an over exploitation on environment leading to environmental degradation. The pollution associated with mining when not properly managed can result in an epidemic and the most affected are communities in which mining activities are predominant. The aim of this thesis is to assess the socio-economic impact of mining in Ghana, with reference to AGA and Obuasi municipality. The mode of data collection was mainly secondary and primary data. The secondary data was obtained from numerous governmental institutions and AGA. A brief questionnaire was administered and analyzed. The response to the questionnaire was close ended to enable easy interpretation. Availability of relevant data was a constraint and this caused delays in the writing of this thesis. Ghana holds large mineral reserves and its extractives sector has been dominated for centuries by mining. Gold is currently the most important of all the minerals mined, accounting for over 90 percent of mining sector revenue while the mining industry as a whole contributes about 47 percent of total exports (Ghana EITI reports summary), and up to 40 percent of revenue in some mining areas. Drawing conclusions from the research and the above statement, it can be said that Ghana's economy as it stands now cannot thrive without revenue from mining sector. There is therefore the need to invest in research and development in order to find alternatives since mining is a non-renewable resource. It was also observed that Obuasi cannot stand the test of sustainability during the closure of AGA. Therefore the need to explore alternate livelihoods apart from mining.

Diploma thesis "Reforms of European Labour Markets" deals with the various types of approach of the European Union Member States to regulation of labour market and to the related measures in the field of social security and assistance. Nearly all European states attempt to maintain and develop the concept of welfare state, which ideally should provide the population with the necessary level of security and social protection while simultaneously should not inhibit economic activity and progress by overly rigid regulation. Each of them is associated with specific advantages and disadvantages, between which the Member States seek balance. The respective model types are illustrated using the example of six selected European countries. The subject of interest of the thesis also comprises the recent reform efforts in these Member States. The thesis deals with endeavours to coordinate national policies in the area of employment on the level of European Union institutions and examines both the set targets and actually achieved results in this field.
